Pólvora

Excellent food. The pressed juices were outstanding! Extremely small portions. I will definitely order two breakfasts next time. Heavy on the bread, although it is good sourdough. Lovely setting. Looks like they will be doing dinner soon.

Firstly the food is amazing, gourmet food at a very reasonable price, the pizza and bread is all made in house with their special sourdough starter and it's delicious! The new menu is incredible you have to try the falafel and the samosas!!! 😁 So yeah the food is amazing but the best part is the atmosphere and team they have, they make everyone feel like family and it's the whole experience that makes you want to comeback for more!

Pólvora is located in what feels like the middle of the desert but is just outside town. It is immaculately designed with covered spaces and tables surrounded by cacti - ambient music in the background. The food (only tried brunch) is exceptional — good portions, fresh ingredients, wonderful flavours, decent prices. They also have really good coffee. The owner and staff were really nice and friendly. I am sure they could tell my Spanish isn’t great but entertained speaking to me the entire way versus switching to English which I greatly appreciated. Wish I found this earlier but I’ll be back next year.

Beautiful desert setting, delicious food, ethereal ambiance and friendly service--what more could you want? I've only dined here for breakfast but everything was knockout. The freshly made pita and jugo de betabel are a must try. Barista Juan Carlos is as friendly as can be and truly a coffee wizard and owner Tino is a gem of a human. If you find yourself in the area this is absolutely a must stop, located just a couple minutes south of La Ventana as you drive in from La Paz. I can't wait to return!

Absolutely my favorite coffee shop / cafe I have ever visited. The service was fantastic and you can feel the thought that has gone into every detail- the space, the food, the coffee, the art. They may be the only specialty coffee in the area(?), and it was great. We tried most of the food menu as well and everything was thoughtfully balanced, unique in flavor, and made from local ingredients. Cannot recommend Pólvora enough. What a gem.
