McDonald's

These guys forgot about me in the drive through. Had me park because my nuggets were not ready. Fine, I get that. But after 15 minutes and multiple cars getting served,  where is my food?  I went in and asked. Not one had any idea what happened. I got my money back, no food, and was late for my appointment and now super irritated. Mostly because no one had any idea what happened and didn't offer any solutions to fix it.

Standard McD fare, complete menu. Plus: dining area is nice w variety of seating and outlets.  Food quality is on par with rest of chain, staff is friendly and courteous.  Bathrooms seem to be a weak link with most McDs I've been to.

Every order has been correct. The Big Macs come out picture perfect. The atmosphere is clean, yet still inviting enough to be a comfortable eating experience. They are actually polite to delivery folks. And yet faster than normal for some reason. I go to a lot of fast food places. This place stands out as extraordinarily proficient.

We do a lot of traveling and we often visit the McDonald's near our hotel we've had several problems with the food not once, but twice, so on our way to the hotel we stopped by and complained about everything. Our food was replaced and just as I was taking the last bag of food a server shouted we won't be replacing this anymore. Well okay we won't be coming back to your establishment. I do care how many times you mess up my food, and I am coming back each and everytime you do.  Are you implying that you'll only replace my food once, but twice your staff did just that messed up my order. Poor management and staffing that definitely needs to be replaced. CJ

I live right next door and it only took one rancid burger and a Sprite with floaties of god only knows what for this location to be reported the the local health department. Never again. Wouldn’t feed food from this establishment to my mortal enemy, let alone myself, or children.

Called the location to inform them of the issue and was told, “while we take responsibility for the mistake, it’s not our fault” and was hung up on. No accountability. No responsibility.

The UPS Store

I needed a Notary today, due to my poor planning, not realizing it is Veterans Day and banks are closed. I did an internet search and found the UPS Store in my neighborhood. I have lived in the area and have used this store in the past. I was pleasantly surprised today to learn the store has a wonderful new owner. Patti, the new owner helped with my needs. They even went above and beyond to help me obtain the proper form I needed to have notarized. Apparently, the form I found on-line did not have the proper verbiage at the bottom that a Notary needs to do their job. The store was steadily busy for a Saturday morning, but we were promptly greeted and asked what service we needed. We were then told someone would be with us soon. Patti made our experience extremely pleasant. They offer a wide range of services from copying, printing, shipping and postal boxes, just to mention a few. I highly recommend this UPS Store.

Wanted notary service and the woman was very abrupt, refused to perform the service even though she was wrong in her understanding of what had to be done. Advised that banks no long notarize, which is incorrect. Very disappointed.  Went to a bank and had no issues.

Extremely poor service using their notary. She saw on the paper the one spot she would sign and I had 2 spots. As I was signing my two, and she watched she then said “next time don’t sign before I do, what if I didn’t want to sign it?”  Excuse me? You’re the professional, I obviously didn’t know the protocol and could have directed me. She was very unfriendly and unhelpful and I was charged $15 for the one signature. It left a very bad taste in my mouth, I should have thought twice. I also had to mail out the paper, that’s why I originally chose to get it done there. I wish I could get a refund.

The staff is always super helpful. I had an issue with Next Day delivery. The manager personally followed up three times to process my claim, confirm the claim had been accepted and confirm that I received the refund. Highly recommend.

This place is so fantastic.  Sometimes when I have to mail things at an UPS store, I feel like I'm such a hassle to the employees and I don't even work there, but at this location- Chris and Josh are such a delight.
They make having to do a chore a better experience.  Always friendly, smiling and wanting to make sure they go out of their way to help you.

Columbine Ace Hardware

Great service and an awesome selection of top quality products.  They always have the newest Yeti colors in a wide selection.  I recently had a new key cut here, and it only cost $2.99!

I visited the store and bought a large bag of Big Green Egg charcoal. When I got to the register it rang up for more than I thought it said on the label. I told the guy ringing me up and he just shrugged. There was a line and I didn't make a big deal out of it.

I came back a couple days later and sure enough I had been overcharged. A manager was standing nearby and I let him know. He scanned it and said I was only overcharged by $2. I went to the car and found the receipt and had been overcharged by $5.

When I got to the register I told him and he rolled his eyes and said he would give me $4 back. I told him I had been overcharged by $5 and he rolled his eyes again and gave me my $5.

Ace is not the cheapest place. The customer service used to be very good, but this certainly wasn't my experience. I don't know if he thought he was helping out the company by trying to save it the extra dollar but I'm certain that they will lose out on many future dollars for me.

Great Service!! I bought a snowblower, and Brad was nice enough to load it up in his truck and bring it to my house!! THANK YOU!

Price gouge?
Rang up as $44. I got several excuses as to why. The manager got involved.. he offered a marginal discount off $44.. meanwhile the same shovel is $37 at the big box store. If the 4/5 other big boy stores have the same shovel and offer price matching, it seems like the independently owned aces need to up their game. More than likely on any other day i would have ran my card but it shows up pretty obvious when you are only buying one shovel. Does this happen often? Not sure, but the handling of the situation by clerk and the manager were a direct reflection of just accept it. The younger sales clerk seemed to have better sales sense in the situation than both elders.
I have shopped here numerous times and found their prices high but sometimes convenient..
maybe 5 minutes longer drive to the big store.
In the event that the store owner reads this.
It is most certainly not about the money here. It is about the sale and repeated sales.

Came to this location as a completely oblivious customer needing help with a metal shelving unit piece. I came in and Michael over at the helpful hub was so quick to help me find what I needed, AND take the time to cut the metal I was purchasing, AND copy a key for me. He was beyond patient with me and so polite, this is definitely the best experience I've had in a situation where I knew absolutely nothing and no idea what I was doing. Everything went perfectly and I got exactly what I needed. Thank you Michael, you are so help and amazing!

Big O Tires

Folks were friendly and helpful. I didn’t have an appointment, but they worked me in no problem. Got new wheels and tires mounted/balanced plus an alignment. The alignment sadly isn’t great. While driving straight the steering wheel is offset center to right. As a former technician of ten years I’m probably a little harsher on this than most. Anyway they took great care of my wheels no scratches or damage. Even aired up and loaded my old set. Nice folks appreciate the work they did.

Edit: called them up 6/27 set a appointment for the following day. Dropped the truck of for my set time of 10am. They got it all taken care of. Truck is driving nice and straight now. Thank you guys for the follow up. Will return in the future.

I recently used BIG O LOVELAND, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The technicians were professional and efficient, Raymond M quickly assessing my tire issue and providing a solution. They had a wide selection of tires available, and the pricing was competitive. The service was prompt, Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend their tire service to others.

5.2.2023 update
Picked up a screw in one of my rear duals.  Popped in, told them I was losing air, they checked all 6 tires and adjusted the pressures and located a screw in the one tire, removed it, repaired the tire and got me right back on the road!
Super fast and friendly service again!!

I bought 6 tires there for my dually in February 2022 and 4 tires for my husband's Jeep today.  These guys are professional, polite, and the 3 year warranty program they have is outstanding! I've been super happy with my Big O tires on my truck and that made us repeat customers!

Raymond was great. I've used this location on and off for a long time. Today I sent our daughter in for tires and alignment (this was her first car repair shop experience on her own) they communicated well with her and made her feel comfortable and her concerns were heard and addressed.
Much appreciated!

This place was GREAT.  On a busy Labor Day weekend, we needed an emergency tire replacement.  Other places were unwilling to help because we only needed one tire.  Big O Tires was super busy too, but still squeezed us in.  And we didn’t even have to wait too long.  They are reasonably priced and their service was fast, efficient and very welcoming and friendly.  And my wife loved the comfortable waiting areas and super clean guest bathroom. A super call out to Raymond Mireles for his excellent customer service!  Thanks so much for saving our holiday.

Shell

This station has no gas! For at least 2 weeks now they have no gas. None. To make matters worse they're convenience selection is circa 2008. Brands have new flavors,better products,etc. Worst chip selection in a station yet. Just drive to the next stop, you'll waste your time stopping here.

So go inside to see if it would be fixed by next day. Young man was rather rude to me. Told me I can go to another location. Ugh this is my neighborhood. Never really said if it was going to be fixed.
Price outrageous$20.00 only one choice.
I will never return.

I've never rated a gas station before, and although this place seems nice enough literally none of the pumps worked when I went. They didn't, however, mark the pumps as "out of order." I primarily wanted a car wash and the touchless wash itself was fine, but there are only two options: a very basic wash for $13 or a premium wash for $15, which seems pretty ridiculous.

This gas station was showing 3.10/g on their sign and on Google maps and when you get to the pump it was 3.49/g what a horrible way to get business.

This place is alright 😏 usually just stop and get gas!
But one day in particular, I went to go use their vacuum and it wasn't working 🙄 so I went inside and asked the clerk if I could get my change back because the vacuum wasn't working and he just looks at me with a blank stare and says, "yeah the vacuum/air machine has been broken and I can't open the drawer and give you your change back!" Seriously?! Come one now, I cannot get my money back... Not cool and to top it off, if you know the air/vacuum has been BROKEN, put a sign up and let your customers know, duuhhh! It's not that difficult!

Wild Birds Unlimited

I'd been buying my bird seed at a big box store. Initially used the cheap stuff but it just attracted mice to the seeds the birds would reject. Eventually migrated to a no-mess sunflower only seed which was increasingly expensive and out of stock. Then i visited Wild Birds Unlimited who showed me several options that would attract a wider variety of birds and for a reasonable price. This is my go-to store now!

I wan't everything in this store! Very cool things for my backyard birds. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and helpful.

This store has a lot of integrity. I had bought an expensive bird feeder from them over a year ago, and a squirrel had recently knocked it down and chewed the rim. The fall had broken the mechanism inside that keeps the lid locked. They fixed-up the feeder with 3 new parts and it works like new! The best part is, they were kind about the whole process. I recommend this store to all bird lovers!!! 💕🐦‍⬛

I stopped here on a whim, and boy was I happy I did. Here you will find fun, unique products for the bird/squirrel lover in your life. For me, it was myself, haha. The staff was beyond accommodating. I felt comfortable and at home. I reccomend you swing though. From books to adorable seed-molded animals, earrings, nut butters and more - you're bound to find a great gift/or item for yourself here.

Great store for all things needed for birds!  Excellent selection of feeders and gifts and great quality bird foods.  I often order online and the turn around time is super fast. Be sure to join the club and get discounts on all your seeds. I so enjoy my bird visitors and feel good knowing I’m offering them healthy food.

Midas

My boyfriend typically does my oil changes for me but was busy and I was over due so I came here. The wait was fine but when my car was done they told me I needed new brake pads and rotors pretty urgently and that it would be $450-500. They were trying to pressure me into scheduling my appointment right away but I declined. I had my boyfriend check my brakes when I got home and he said they’re not even half worn down. Very disappointed by this up charge, don’t know that I’d trust them with my vehicle again.

UPDATE: I got a call from Midas a few days after my review. The gentleman on the phone said he felt like my review was a bit harsh. When I went to explain to him my experience and what my boyfriend said he tried to gaslight me and say that they told me the same thing (that my brakes still had about half their life). I explicitly remember being told they needed to be changed within the next oil change and the mechanic said I should be careful. The gentleman on the phone also said that on the sheet they have the brakes are only yellow meaning they were just on their way to be needing to be replaced, I was never given anything to indicate that, just my invoice. He just kept saying that my review was too harsh and basically trying to guilt me into changing it. I also don’t think that I ever got an apology for them trying to up sell me nor did they take any sort of responsibility. Had they apologized and taken responsibility I may have given a star back.

I really feel like I was scammed. I took my vehicle for an oil change and paid the extra money to have the fluids topped off in my vehicle. About 4 days after, I noticed a burning smell coming from my engine. When I looked under the hood, there was spilled oil from the oil change. I usually take my car to Emich on Wadsworth and Jewel but I wanted to try Midas since it was a little more economical in price. I had to get my engine cleaned to avoid the smell. Also, when completing this process, I noticed that they NEVER topped off the fluids in my car. Coolant was still at the same level as before. When I called, I spoke with Frank and he insisted that my coolant reservoir is cracked because his staff did fill it. Nope, its not cracked, it was never topped off. I do not trust this place. Staff was initially nice when I took my car in but when I encountered problems, I was basically called a liar.

These guys just want to gauge you.  Charged me $450 for diagnostics and a new battery.  Turns out it was the alternator that was bad, the battery was probably fine.  But they wanted $950 for the alternator not including installation.
We left the shop to go kill some time while our car was being worked on, and after waiting so long we decided to just show up and see how it’s going.  We walked in and said hey how’s it going?  And the repair man replied “oh it’s going great, for me.” with a snarky attitude, like he’s enjoying our suffering.  He then gets on the phone and orders said battery that he determined was needed 4 hours prior.  When I confronted him about why it took so long to order the battery he claims that the computer says they have it, but they can’t find it.  But this should not have taken 4 hours to look for it and determine they do not have it.  I really got the vibe that they throughly enjoy screwing people over.  Just go somewhere else.

I was on a time crunch about to head up to Telluride and my car hadn’t seen love in awhile. Asked if they could do a quick oil change and some air in my tires and they said 45-1hr. Service was done under an hour.

My only gripe is I had a maintenance reminder on my Honda which they turned off sometime while doing the service. I know that reminder was for much more than just an oil change, so I wish they left that on.

Great and easy service. Good manager. Good price. Super convenient.

Customer Service was great from all but Tyler.  Had interaction on multiple occasions.  I was also pleased with the work they did, time in which it was completed, and the communication when we fell out the time frame.
I have been meaning to to rate Midas because I was pleased with their service when I left.   But my Mom passed 3 days after I picked the car, had another mechanical issue and wanted to contact Midas with issues found regarding the additional work.  I contacted Midas today, had to talk to Tyler again, he advised the store manager is not in today.  I apologized for not calling sooner but my mom had passed and proceeded to explain the Squealing there had previously advise me of, was a pulley that needed to be replaced that ended up being a tool tray they had left in the vehicle when they were doing  the repairs, see the attachments for the repairs.
I’m not looking for any compensation, but Tyler‘s responded, “OK”.
The response is unacceptable as I it appears they may have caused an issue to cause a reason to charge more.  I left there confident my 18 year old son has a reputable company I can trust to do the right thing with me on another state.
The reason for  my concern is that if they already confirmed the issue was the pulley and just didn’t have enough time to fix it, then why wasn’t the tray seen prior to diagnosing the vehicle and having me set up arrangements to have that fixed with Midas.

Ace Hardware of Jewell Square

The lady that helped me on my way in was very helpful and knew exactly where what I was looking for was.  That is a nice change of pace from most ace harwares.

My only critique is that they don't have bags, especially when I bought a ton of little items a bag would have been nice.  And if they do offer bags it would've been nice to be offered one by the cashier as I was struggling to carry everything on my way out

They have nearly everything you need (hardware and garden wise - including a great selection of wild bird food - if you're into that sort of thing).

Both of the people i asked for help were knowledgeable. The second associate named the exact aisle and placement in the aisle of the exact product. I was very impressed. I love the variety of stock and the helpfulness. This is a great store.

Will not be shopping here again. Went in to purchase a socket adapter. Asked individual working there if they could unlock the device on the shelf so I could get it. Then proceeded to tell me they have to walk it up to the counter. Takes it to cashier and lets her know it's for me with customers standing there checking out looking at me like I'm a thief. I purchased a $10 part and your employee decided I didn't look respectable enough to walk it up to and pay for it myself. You have lost my business. I should have spoke to manager at the time, but I was in the middle of something I needed to get back to. I wish I could give this review negative stars, but google wont let me. If I treated my customer like that I would be out of a job.

I had a key made here. Guy, Vanessa, and Izzy were each very helpful. Guy cut a perfect key, Vanessa was knowledgeable of prices and very friendly, and Izzy provided great customer service upon checkout. All were very kind. Thank you.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end.  Christian was patient and professional and helped me obtain the additional line I needed. One of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a very long time.

The staff was very helpful, and able to get me switched over from Verizon quickly. I immediately had much better service and was over all pleasantly surprised with how smooth and easy it was.

Had a great customer experience today with Ruben at this location! It was fast, friendly, efficient, and they even stayed a little late to make sure everything was working properly!

Just walked out the door and the manager, Brian was so impressive, knowledgeable, efficient and effective I felt compelled to immediately write this review. He calmly assisted multiple customers but never left any of us feeling abandoned.  Incredibly nice guy.
Hopefully upper management knows what they have and goes above and beyond for him as he does for AT&T.
Refreshing to walk out of the store and have all of my issues that phone-in customer service, and two other locations couldn’t be bothered to fix or
understand for the past 6-7 months resolved. Kudos Brian! I will spread the word - retail needs more Brian’s!

The Honey Baked Ham Company

If I could leave Mike 10 stars I would! This is the BEST customer service I have ever received! He is one of kind! The food was amazing! Catering went better than I could have ever asked! Support local! I’ll never go anywhere else again.

Picked up food for Christmas. We zipped right through the line while the same pre paid people were still waiting for someone to bring them thier orders. We didn't see anyone even working that area. Sooo apparently it is better not to pre pay. We feel bad for those people but we had a very good experience!

I ordered a bone-in ham at this location for Christmas but ended up with a boneless ham instead. It was still good but I was bummed because I wanted to make my sons favorite soup from the hambone. I took the feedback survey they sent via email and mentioned I had gotten the wrong ham. They called me the next morning and were adamant about making things right. The man who called me, Brandon, must’ve apologized half a dozen times, he was very professional and a total sweetheart. Not only did he give me a big hambone and soup mix so I could make my sons favorite soup, but another quarter bone-in ham. Incredibly kind and customer oriented. They definitely won me over, I will come back and buy from them again.

SUPER DISAPPOINTED!!!! this was the driest, WORST ham we’ve ever had from this store. Not one bit of the crunchy coating. $150 for a ham we could’ve gotten at Walmart for $20. Also spent $50
On a smoked Turkey breast that was nothing special. Used to look forward to holidays and having ham left overs but we could have definitely spent that much money a better way.

Why would you stay open on doordash when your store is closed?  Why waste a potential customer's time?  It's fine to be closed on a holiday. Everyone needs a day off.  When you're closed, don't pretend like you're open on food delivery apps.  It's a jerk move.
