Annette is a miracle worker!! Her business is superb. Her prices are the best available, her business is super clean, and it is very private.  My facial hair has always been embarrassing for me. Annette's place is ideal for me due to the privacy. Not only did Annette take her time on my first appointment to explain everything to me, she left it up to me if I wanted to start that same day or think about it. I am so thankful I found her. I would recommend anyone to Faith Electrolysis for any of her services she offers. Annette is truly awesome at what she does!

Absolutely love going to Annette, so kind and genuinely cares what’s going on before, after and during your appointment. Also love it because it’s so private, you don’t have to walk in front of an office full of people to get things done when your confidence may already be low (which she’s also great at making you not feel like a circus animal). She’s so knowledgeable and also informs you throughout the process so you have a better understanding, I will NEVER go to anyone else.

I had not been able to receive electrolysis treatments prior to having services done with Faith Electrolysis for months. Since going to Faith Electrolysis, Ms. Annette made it seem as if I never stopped. I was indeed worried about having to restart my process but because she is an expert at what she does, I not only saw results I was pleased with but was able to also receive services properly. She is knowledgeable of the services she offers and can answer any question you have while making you feel comfortable and cared for. I have been coming to Faith electrolysis for 4 months now and have been pleased with my results. My hair is more on the slow growth side, so I only come in for treatments once a month. I could only imagine the results one could witness coming multiple times a month. I started off with a ton of hair, blackheads (high cheekbone area) and hyperpigmentation that has become almost unrecognizable after just 4 treatments! I must say I have achieved the results I had hoped for since my initial services I was receiving from another place prior to going to her. I went from having an abundance of dark strands of hair to almost none, which I noticed on month 3. This issue has been with me since my teenage years and am finally able to do something about it after 10+ years of plucking and hiding my hyperpigmentation with foundation. I am so grateful to have been able to become a client at Faith Electrolysis! I wish I had come sooner. I look forward to my appointment with Ms. Annette each time. My confidence has been through the roof since my first visit. I have received a lot of compliments about how clear and healthy looking my skin is since coming to her. Mrs. Annette is personable, honest, passionate and great at what she does. She deserves 10 stars if you ask me!

Shear Madness Salon & Boutique

First impression is everything in this biz in my option , and they passed with an A+ in all categories; Awesome Customer Service; Courteous, Polite & Respectful, Professional  and Clean Establishment , affordable and fair pricing for services.  I had a hair emergency, the person for whom has cut my hair for years was unavailable, I googled salons near me , I  called Shear Madness , they took the time to talk to me on phone , for which no one does these days, and all though all stylists were book up , the owner herself , made time for me and fit me in . When I arrived everyone was so nice and made me feel as if I had known them forever. . This now my new salon❤️❤️❤️

Great place, the ladies there are awesome,it's a very friendly environment. No matter what kind of hairstyle you want, they can do it. Will definitely be going back

I had to get a new stylist. My husband called in and they were able to get me an appointment later in the week. They did a great job with the color and cut. I also had an idea coming in and they helped me get what I was looking for based on what I already had going on with my color. Will be returning!

The owner Sara does it all... color, cut, make up, etc. Stylists rent booths and set their own appointments. Salon is very clean, and the clothes in the boutique in the front are adorable!!!

Bliss Salon and Blowout Bar

Abby was an incredible stylist who also provided a fun and comfortable environment! I had a great time and Danielle gave some great hair advice! 10/10 recommend any day of the week!! Loved everyone there!

Bliss Salon is such a hidden gem in Oak Grove. It's nestled in a cozy building with beautiful spa like touches. Everything there is top notch including the people. Katie is wonderful at her job and has such a great way with people. She is so fun and bubbly yet professional. Her hair skills are worth every penny. Thanks Bliss. You are the best and I'll be back!

Danielle is such a great stylist. Her salon is clean and super cute. I never let anyone else highlight my hair, cause she makes it look so completely natural. She is also really fun to talk to, and she provides you with water and treats as well! My boys love getting their hair cut by her too. I recommend her to everyone.

These girls are absolutely AMAZING. They take the time to get to know their clients... and their clients hair.

Beautiful spa! I have got a few facials and a spray tan and have loved all of my services. All the girls are friendly and professional.

I could not recommend Radiant U enough!! I’ve only been to a couple appointments so far, and I absolutely love them!! They are so friendly and professional! :)

I love the staff at BodyBrite! They all are so friendly and helpful.  Autumn and Beth are just sweethearts and know their services and products so well.  I have had Venus Swan on my neck and face and the outcome has been remarkable!  I also have had it on my upper arms and they look so GOOD!  The facial rejuvenation has really improved my complexion.  These procedures were really reasonably priced with no down time so I could just go about my everyday life without having to take time off!

Radiant U is the place to go for your skincare needs. Wether you are looking to prevent sun damage, reverse the damaging effects of the sun, or prolong your youthful appearance, they've got you covered.  In addition to skin care they also provide massage and nail services. The staff is nice, knowledgeable, and professional. On top of all that, their prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Beth and Autumn are a couple of the sweetest gals I know! I've gone to Radiant U for Laser Hair Removal and facials (chemical peel and microdermabrasions) and have  had nothing but the best experiences. I'm so happy with the results I've seen and I can't recommend them enough!

Radiant Eyes & Aesthetics llc

I received a facial and beard wash. Very professional experience. Very informative regarding what products to use and how to apply them to my face and beard. I plan to go back and recommend her services to friends.

Blo Blow Dry Bar

INCREDIBLE experience. I was having a terrible day and I met Ri and was immediately relaxed. She provided a safe and comfortable environment. And I felt incredible the whole time. Not only was the finished product gorgeous, the experience was everything I didn’t know I needed. I got my hair AND makeup done by Ri!

I have been going to Blo since they opened!  I never leave disappointed!!  In fact, I’m blown away (no pun intended 🤣) every time I leave!  They do amazing work!  My daughters use them for dances, I’ve used for weddings, and just to pamper myself!  I HIGHLY recommend!!  All of their stylists and make up artists do a wonderful job and are ALWAYS so kind!   And the manager is always so sweet!!  If you haven’t tried, go!

I love this place!  All the stylists are extremely talented, friendly and professional (special shout out to Sabrina and Rad). My hair looks and feels wonderful. Love the dream coat conditioner. I always get compliments on my hair when I leave the salon.

I recently went to "Blo Homewood" for the very first time, and to be honest I had no idea what to expect. I am pretty specific and critical over how my hair looks, but I decided to try to start getting it styled/done professionally. Let me tell you, it was EXCEEDINGLY worth it. I had a terrific overall experience! The atmosphere is cute, clean, and fun. The ladies I interacted with were lovely and obviously knew what they were doing because I do not think my hair has ever looked better. That is not an exaggeration. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants their hair done right because, as stated above, mine has never looked better. I will be back. Honestly probably very soon.

Brazilian Wax Spa by Marci Vestavia Hills

I've been coming here for a few years now and I've never had a issue. I get a different person performing my service most of the time but you can opt to have the same person if you choose. They are fast and friendly. The price is reasonable. Online booking is easy. Rooms are clean each time I come. Suzann is great to ask for.

Hands down, Brooke is the best. She is gentle, thorough, and efficient. I appreciate the fact that she checks to see the direction of the hair growth before applying the wax. Her personality is also very friendly and disarming.

The older receptionist with the braids is consistently rude, so I deducted a couple of stars because of her. She seriously knows how to ruin a good spa experience. The younger receptionist is nice but she's usually not working on the days I come.

They are the best place I’ve ever been to for brazilians!! They work with your schedule, everyone is super nice, and they know what they are doing! Love it! ❤️

Update: the original review was written a year ago. However, something happened today (June, 2023) that I do not think was okay and I had no recourse.  When I checked out, I was told that they did not have my deposit.  I said that’s impossible because I’ve been coming here a really long time and they wouldn’t have booked my appointment without the deposit.  She said we don’t have it and didn’t have any explanation for why they didn’t. So she charged me AGAIN $45 for a deposit.  I was annoyed to say the least.  I have not missed or been late or failed to cancel an appointment in time.  I don’t mind paying the deposit, but this is not okay. I was very upset that this happened because I really do think this is a great waxing spot. However, I have over 6k views on this review so I would be remiss by not mentioning it.  The original review was also five stars,  but this is not 5 star customer service. So, my advice is to keep an eye on your deposit, or find somewhere else. I have since started going to a different wax provider.

Fantastic spot for waxing.  They fill up quickly in the summer so book early to make sure you get an appointment.  Prices are super reasonable and I recommend the Brazilian or full body special.   They do sugaring which is THE best!!! I have not been to a waxing place that uses sugaring for at least ten years.  It’s less painful and better for your skin.  They take a 50% deposit in the event you cancel too late or no show.

Called to reschedule, was 3 minutes past the grace period & was told it was gonna be a wait between two more clients after asking to use the rest room! Normally have to wait 5-10 minutes when I arrive even when I have an appointment. Not to mention I’m pregnant and flew from centerpoint to vestavia. Will
Be going to the other location from here on out.

Brazilian Wax Spa by Marci Hoover

My first time going was a referral from my sister and I will be making this location my forever home! Very nice environment and Allison was great to me !!! Great way to bring in my new year!

I've been here and the other location multiple times but my last two recent times the wax has left my skin irritated, bumpy, and itchy. I've also have more ingrown hairs than ever. I never had those problems in the past with them so I'm not sure what changed. I did however switch to European Wax Center  because their wax it hurts way less and left my skin smoother. I would recommend sticking to one wax place that works for you because other places may have different ingredients and what used to work for me at Marci's simply doesn't anymore. However I wanted to try since my place was booked up. I would say to others to be careful with switching up, never know how your skin will react. Otherwise, for the price Marci's isn't a bad place!

This was my first wax and Allison made it a great experience. Obviously, it can be a little uncomfortable showing a stranger your 🐝 🕳  and letting them rip the hairs out for ya, but she took my awkward jokes in stride and did a great job. Would absolutely recommend.

, I've been with the company at 2 dif locations over the span of 3 years and I've only ever had 1 bad experience. Love it! The receptionist are polite and the ladies that work there are super cool too (atleast the ones I've had 😁). I've recommended all of my friends and they like it too! Give it a try, if you dont like one person's style of waxing, switch it up. ✨communication✨ always works

Sugaring NYC - BHM Hoover

One of the best experiences I’ve had. Staff was very welcoming and super friendly. Always feel comfortable going to my appointment. Very clean and trendy. Love all the pink and the kindness of everyone here. Recommend any of the suggarists here. If it’s your first time they will walk you through everything and make sure you’re taken care of properly and give you pamphlets on after care! Not to mention they are very thorough and make sure you get exactly what you want and are very talented at what they do.  Bathrooms always are kept nice and the equipment is always perfect! Thank you guys!!!!

So I was brand new to this world when I came in for my first time. To say that I was nervous is an understatement. However, my sugarista Breyone was FANTASTIC!! She made me feel so comfortable and welcomed, and she also did an amazing job. 10/10 would recommend their services! And I've already set my next appointment 😊 Thank you ladies! 💜

I had an excellent experience with Kaylen today! She did a great job on my Brazilian, lower legs and under arms. She chatted with me the whole time and worked with my inevitable wiggling during certain areas. She was very efficent and got all the hair. She used oil after the cleaning solution. All the gals were very friendly and the salon was very clean and welcoming. Their prices are on par with other sugaring establishments i have visited and the cost of their additional products is very reasonable. I recommend this establishment for your hair removing needs.
