They bury a lot of the financial terms in fine print.  You have to sign up for three months minimum, and you also have to provide one month's notice to cancel so they can stick you for one more month.
Also, they require you to buy their special (overpriced) socks.

as an "older" golfer this is exactly what i need.   The constant stress my golf swing puts on my back and hips is somewhat painful.  After only 3 visits i don't get sore anymore when i play and practice.  Highly recommend!!!

The staff was wonderful.
I had to cancel my trial after 1 month due to circumstances that matter to no one but me. I met with a manager on site to discuss this to which he informed me that my trial was canceled without penalty and not to expect the next to payments to be processed. After about 10 days, I did see another charge to my debit card. After reaching out over the phone and leaving a message for the manager to call me back, I received no response. 7 days later: I call again to speak with a manager and the associate who answered the phone took a message for the owner to call me back.
When I spoke with the owner, he made it clear that regardless of my circumstances, his were the priority and that he would not be reimbursing the charge.

Again, staff is wonderful. 5 stars.
I do not feel the same about Owner. Knock it down to 2 stars for the franchise.

My advice is do not sign a contract. They will get you regardless of your circumstances.

Amazing! Just used my trial session and will be joining. The one on one stretching felt great, the trainer/coach educated me about what he was doing and why and sent me home with some exercises. The facility is sparkling clean, the guy at the front counter was welcoming and engaging, and they have evening and weekend hours. Not sure why my health insurance doesn’t cover this because this is healthcare like it ought to be.

My active 12-year-old has significantly benefited from adding Stretch Lab sessions to his routine. His recovery time after soccer practices and games has been drastically reduced, and his range of motion has increased, making him a better player.

We love how flexible (pun intended?) scheduling is, how friendly the owner and staff are, and how reasonable the monthly membership prices are. The option to text instead of call and even book online are great options for those of us on the go.

Our son's personal connections with the staff members who genuinely care about his well-being keep us coming back. Both he and I recommend Stretch Lab to people of all ages and fitness levels.

Ballwin Fit Body Boot Camp

Ballwin Fit Body Boot Camp is not like any ordinary gym. They make everyone feel welcome. I was a little hesitant at first to give them a try because I am over weight and didn’t want to be judged. That was not the case at all. Each and every time the coaches welcomed me and actually talked to me like I was a person. The coaches are so helpful and supportive when you need an alternative to the workout.

Ballwin Fit Body Boot Camp has absolutely changed my life. I was trying to get healthy on my own but found myself lacking the proper tools to really push the workouts to maximize results in a sustainable fashion. I signed up for a consultation and Mike was extraordinarily helpful, understanding, and most of all, encouraging. I had so many questions and he never got frustrated. After going over different price options, we found the best one for me and I went to my first class. The schedule for classes is also really flexible so it works nicely with my own schedule. The gym is also really clean and well-maintained which makes me feel a lot better about plopping down from exhaustion 🤣 I was really nervous since I'd never done anything like joining a boot camp or fitness class. When I got there, Coaches Sarah & Finlay explained perfectly how each class would function and what to expect from the 30 minutes. I was SORE but excited to go back - which has never happened before 🤣 The next day, I was ready to go and found that the encouragement (and humor, this time with Coach Tim) was just how they actually are there. The coaches really care about your success to be strong in every way. Sarah always repeats my mantra with me, "Just one more, just one more". They take time to make sure you're getting the most out of each workout. I'm a Googler and a question asker and they're so helpful and patient with everything I ask. They are so positive and encouraging, which is the kind of environment I thrive in. I recently accomplished an exercise I didn't think I could do and Coach Finlay actually shared in my excitement. THIS is what fitness is about! They guide nutrition as well as exercise to make sure your insides are ruining at top speed. I look forward to waking up and going to the classes. If you're thinking about signing up, just try it. It's worth every second of effort you put into it.

From someone who has never had any type of gym membership, do yourself a favor and see what's it all about! I'd never worked out consistently until joining FBBC and am so glad I took the plunge. All the trainers are friendly, fabulous, and fit! They're also eager to help you learn proper form. I love the flexibility of attending an AM, lunchtime, or PM session that can be coordinated with my hectic work schedule. While I have no comparison, this place is superb. I hope they stick around forever to keep us in good health.

Love Fit Body Boot Camp - Ballwin!  The coaches are SO knowledgeable and encouraging!  The members are also motivating and supportive.  Every day is a different workout which keeps it interesting and fun!  This is Family!

I have been going to FBBC for about a year. Love the quick 30 minute workouts. You do something different every day so you don’t get bored. All exercises can modified to your fitness level.  Love the coaching staff. They make an effort to get to know you and call you by name when you walk in the door.  It is a fun place to work out.

It is always a great experience for mind and body at Stretchlab Edina. The staff is friendly, responsive, caring and qualified. Thank you Sophia, Kelsi, Morgan, Jeremy, Nael, Sonnie and Vicky are wonderful hosts and always find solutions.

Everybody at Stretch lab are awesome, some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I’ve only worked with Sophia and Lily and both of them did a phenomenal job. Both are always smiling and making good conversation that your time will fly by. But most important, they do a great job at making sure you get in a good stretch and get your body feeling right.

I have been coming to Stretch lab for 2 years now… And I have not visited the chiropractor since. I usually throw my back out every 6 months… With Stretch lab I no longer have this problem. It’s truly preventative care! The team is great!

Great stretch! I felt I could trust Jeremy who made me feel very safe and was very professional and personable. He helped release a lot of tension and pain and explained and guided me through the process. I recommend Jeremy very highly.

Burn Boot Camp - Manchester

I’ve always loved being active, but would find myself in spurts where I’d workout and other times where I wouldn’t. I joined Burn Boot Camp in April 2021, and never looked back. This is the most consistent I’ve ever been and I feel so much more knowledgeable about my overall health and nutrition as well from my focus meetings with the trainers. The people in this gym and the trainers are truly the best.

Loving their new location! So much bigger! Every time I come, everyone is so friendly. Great workouts explained by a trainer with modifications if needed. The trainers are very involved and move about the room to make sure everyone is having correct form to avoid injuries. It’s a great gym!

5+ years and I’ve never done the same workout twice. Amazing supportive trainers and community. The trainers meet you where you are in your fitness journey and encourage you to find your strong. Nutritional guidance. Free childcare. Multiple class times. Free universal membership. No place like it. I have never stuck with a workout program this long! Burn Boot Camp has helped me find the athlete I never knew I was! My favorite happy place (besides the beach🙂)!

I visited BURN Manchester while I was in town, using my universal membership. Everyone was so welcoming and the new facility was spacious and fully equipped. The trainers give one-on-one attention in an energizing class setting. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This is my favorite gym that I’ve ever belonged to. The atmosphere is unbelievable. The trainers know your name and cheer you on. You can walk in knowing no one and walk out with a friend. I highly recommend for any and all age groups and body types/experiences !!

Bettendorf Family YMCA

Love the pool and track, and most of the folks at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. My gripe is with the condition of the women's locker room, particularly the showers. Honestly, I've got to wonder when any of them were last cleaned - particularly the showers on the ends of the row. Disgusting hardly covers it. Won't go into detail. Suffice to say, never be without shower shoes anywhere in the locker room. Also, no soup in dispenser

I really enjoy the pool and the hot tub.  It only took about ten minutes to become a member.  I'm a natural redhead and I don't like to get sunburnt, so the YMCA is perfect.

Not a fan. The membership is too expensive considering something you need is always broken. Day passes for a single day are half the cost of a monthly membership which makes no sense to me. You would think the employees would get paid more too since they are saving on repair costs from not repairing anything or hiring an adequate amount of staff. I've cancelled my membership but when I did go, the women's restroom in the weight lifting area never had soap either.

Hygiene issue for sure in men's locker room and steam room. More times than not, smells like a mildewy wet sock fallen behind the washer with a spritz of fromunda. Equip. rags always gone it seems. For how new facility is, outdated ellipticals and bikes. Not convenient to go out of my way to another branch. Need  some more effort put into this place.

Just on vacation and stopped in for 45 minutes on the bike. Nice and busy place. Had a hard time finding a wipe or small towel for cleaning the bike. Otherwise fine.

D1 Training St. Louis West

Awesome facility and instructors! Great programming and well organized. As an ex college athlete this has been an amazing way to get back in shape. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I signed up for the 6 Week Boot camp and worked out three times a week plus sending pictures of my weight and other things. I thought the support of the staff was amazing and all of the people who work out there were really great as well.

The classes are intense, but well structured and everyone is very motivating and nice. The instructors are amazing too.

I am not a D1 athlete, but it sure is fun to train like one.  Coach Q is truly one of the best and I can't speak highly enough about the community that is being created here.   It's encouraging, it's warm, it's welcoming and there hasn't been a day that I have regretted coming at 6 a.m....Team Savage is really the best!!

Met the owner, he was awesome. Super clean. Friendly staff. Great layout. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome! Mike was very helpful and gave me a great tour of their facilities. The basketball gym is great and always has good games going. There are lots of helpful staff and that is unique to this LA Fitness, other places in the cities don't take care of their members like this place does!

Mike has provide excellent service while trying to figure out an emailing issue with LA Fitness 7 days pass. His patient was commendable and prompt me to write this review. He was very helpful and we wanted to ensure he receives  recognition for his efforts.

As soon as I walked in kallie greeted me an amazing attitude. She had the most amazing smile on her face and I really felt welcomed here and if I ever see her again in this La I’ll make sure to bring her favorite coffe just to make her day. Mike had the most coolest beard with the biggest muscles I’ve ever seen, as he greeted me it felt like he was apart of the fam. I really hope you give these two a raise for there work and I will 100% be coming back.

My friend, possessing a 7-day pass (having utilized only 1 day at the aforementioned branch), and I, a full-year paid member, were subjected to an unexpectedly prolonged and discommoding entrance process on this occasion. Previous visits were seamless, simply involving form completion and entry, however, on this particular day, we were informed that assistance from a sales representative was requisite for my friend's pass.

Regrettably, the engagement with the staff, notably with the individual identifying himself as Mike, the store and district manager, was noticeably less than professional and contradicted the positive experiences I previously had at your St. Louis Park location.

Despite our explicit expression of intent to discuss membership options post-workout, Mike persistently and insistently pressed us to engage in a sales conversation at that moment, which significantly delayed our entry. It is worth noting that I had explained my status as a retired veteran with anxiety issues, emphasizing our desire to commence our workout due to my limited time and to mitigate my increasing anxiety.

What exacerbated the situation was Mike's subsequent demeanor and interactions, which I perceived as both condescending and dismissive, particularly when he said, “you good,” in what seemed to be a diminutive manner. Furthermore, my friend experienced an unduly prolonged discussion, which could be categorized as an interview, with another sales associate even after I had commenced my workout, a situation I found to be unnecessarily elongated and disruptive.

I understand that every business strives to expand its membership and sales; however, the approach taken by Mike and his team was unbecoming, unprofessional, and not customer-oriented. His inability to provide a business card or further contact for a higher-level manager when requested was also deeply concerning and contradicted the standard transparency and accountability I anticipate in professional settings.

I kindly request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately to prevent future similar occurrences. As a proud member, veteran, and individual of Latino descent, it is pivotal for me to convey that such an experience significantly undermines my comfort and trust in La Fitness.

Moreover, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to formally document this unsatisfactory experience, but I am hopeful that addressing this matter internally within Richfield LA Fitness will facilitate a resolution and prevent any future patrons from experiencing similar discontent.

I joined LA Fitness a few years back and did not care for this branch then.  It has improved a lot over the last year.  Friendlier and more helpful front-desk staff, the bathrooms and locker rooms are clean.  There is always equipment available when I need it.  It has also been cooler inside during the summer, making it easier to work out.  For what I pay a month, it's worth it.

The Bar Method Edina

I write this review in my capacity as a visiting client from CA rather than an instructor: I love the ample, free parking next to the studio and its location to lovely bars & restaurants within walking distance- barre and bar! The manager and instructors made me feel so welcome as a visitor; they tend to your needs and make you feel special! They also have very cute retail that I haven't seen at other studios!!!

I highly recommend you make a visit- whether you are a visiting client from another studio or a local needing a regular exercise routine.

The Bar Method has been the only work out I've stuck with consistently and I've been doing it now for 4 years. The instructors are fantastic and everyone there truly cares about you and your fitness journey. It was a great way to stay active throughout my pregnancy and the live stream classes make it easy to fit in to life with a toddler as well. Highly recommended.

I have been a Bar Method Fan for 10 years! I have attended Bar Method Classes in Hermosa Beach, San Francisco, Chicago, Highland Park, Scottsdale, NYC, Philadelphia & Boston. Without a doubt the best instructors are right here in Minneapolis! I love the fact that there is a group of us who have been here from the start and are still here. The Bar Method is a part of our lives and even when life takes an unexpected direction and we may temporarily stray, we always return! I love coming to exercise at this studio! All of the instructors are knowledgeable, dedicated and supremely gifted. I've met more smart natural leaders in this relatively small space than I have in any other comparable studio or gym...ever!
There is a genuine spirit of collegiality and supportive non-competitiveness. As an exerciser on the other side of 65, I am most definitely a devotee of The Bar Method approach and philosophy. I have seen the results in myself in terms of strength, agility and balance. I love having a place to go where it is safe to  challenge myself--and be challenged--to keep growing in fitness. The Bar Method stood out to me because the attention to physiology and collaboration with actual physical therapists. I have a background in dance (long ago), yoga, and other exercise. I'm attempting to return to physical activity to build strength after a forced hiatus due to health issues. I have to be extremely careful in how I exercise, and so far Bar Method hasn't caused any issues. It's a place where you will be challenged, but it's low impact and modifiable if you have physical/health issues that make exercise tricky. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. Give it try! Especially if you need a little extra care in your journey back to strength.

Bodiology Pilates

Wonderful pilates studio with a great instructor.  Pilates is a great low impact way to get active - especially if you are just starting out.  And Bodiology is a great place to learn.  The studio is conveniently located off of 394 with plenty of parking.  Inside it has high ceilings, skylights, hardwood floors with boho carpets and a fireplace.  It’s warm and welcoming space.  Not intimidating and cold like so many gyms!  The instructor, also a Catherine, is patient and really cares that you learn and take care of your body.  She is great at explaining everything and matching the speed at which you learn.  I really enjoy working with her!  Check out her Groupon specials for beginners, but make sure the times work for you before purchasing :).

I came across this place via Groupon. I'm usually weary when it comes to places through groupon, but, Bodiology is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone that wants to start getting into pilates. I've taken several classes in the past, but never had an instructor like Kathy who really starts at the fundamentals. She guides you through every movement and makes you feel very comfortable if you do something incorrectly. She will make sure you do things properly before moving to the next thing. I appreciated it very much. Her studio is very clean and welcoming with all the pilates equipment you would want to work with. Her covid precautions are up above and beyond expectations-I felt very safe. I highly recommend booking with Kathy at Bodiology!
