There aren’t a lot of dedicated boba places in the area, this by far is the best, but can be a bit pricey. Online ordering makes it more convenient so you won’t have to wait in line. The app can be a bit outdated, say when you order something from the app that isn’t being offered anymore in store. There’s ample sitting space inside for around 10ish people, they have outside seating too.

I had the silky mango and all macaroons. I enjoyed it and so good. Yummy jellies and boba.

Such a fun and inviting atmosphere! It only took five minutes to get my drink after ordering, and it was delicious! Taro milk with boba is always a must.

First of all, I am a boba tea lover ever since I was a kid, I'm living in the area and was really happy to know there was this franchise coming to the city.
The experiences I had during the first couple months when it just opened were great. Tea are flavorful, boba is in the right texture.
I went there a few times lately and got a little disappointed, the tea flavor didn't come out like before and the boba got hard centers and not chewy, which means they have been left in the container for too long without reheated or thrown away and get the new tapioca balls cooked. I expect high quality control for its price, so it shouldn't matter what time I walk in to get a drink, the taste and texture should be consistent and in good quality.

I love the shop and this is not a bad review. I just really hope this shop will be continuedly running well and I hope it would do so by keeping the high quality. After all, I would rather not driving to Atlanta just for some good boba tea. haha

I might update the review in the future.

Great addition to Birmingham’s bubble tea options. The menu is diverse and fits all tastes. I can’t wait to try all options on the menu.

ThirsTea Cafe Helena

If you are into drinks, I'm sure you'll love this which is called Boba. Basically, you can get any fruit or milk tea and put boba or tapioca, keep in mind there are two types of boba, one that pops in your mouth (boba) and one you can chew (tapioca) , they're both really good though.

Neat little place I go to every so often, great for beginners who have never tried boba tea before!

You can even get a custom boba if you'd like, I got myself a blueberry milk tea and it is personally my go to when it comes to boba.

Came when no one was here and was in and out within 3 mins. The person taking our order was super friendly and helpful. The service here was amazing and they were quick. The price was also great, this is the best place to get boba in town. This is a much nicer Thirstea than the one in Birmingham since it’s much bigger and has a more open space. It seems to be cleaner too, will be coming back in the future.

This was our first time to get the Poke bowls. Everything is so fresh and amazing tasting!

So overall really good, friendly and efficient service.

The store itself has a really cool vibe with plenty of seating and great lighting. Definitely a place to hangout with friends while enjoying a delicious drink.

I came in to the helena location for the first time and was greeted by a teenager who seemed super nice at first. I ordered what I always order at the other locations-  cinnamon milk tea with oatmilk (remove all dairy) and she got frustrated and red in the face saying that there was dairy in it. I know that. I wanted her to swap it out for oatmilk. She then went on to say that drink did not come with milk and that it was just tea and cinnamon? So I said please put oatmilk it it. She was very condescending in her attitude saying “ok.” We still gave her a tip when we closed out. And when she brought the drinks out she said “you know there is cream in that right?” And I said that I never have a problem when I order this elsewhere and they always reassure that there is no dairy. She seemed like she might be new or something because she kept switching up what she was saying. In the end I couldnt even drink it because she literally just gave me oatmilk and boba. I wanted to get my money back but she threw the receipt away before we could even ask to have it. Do not think I will be coming back to this location.

McDonald's

I go to this McDonald's nearly everyday and order just about the same thing every time and every time it's hot and comes out fast. If they see you're there too long they will acknowledge you and do everything they can to make it better. I used to never eat McDonald's but for a few months now it's been really good and easy to order especially on the app. I've earned so much free and discounted food! 😋👍🍔

The best coffee period. The biscuits are great as well. I know it's fast food but you can't beat it for value, and it actually tastes good. I repeat though,  the coffee is the best around.

Speaking from as a former GM for McDonald’s, I understand that times are changing and everything is going to kiosks. However with what you are paying your employees, I feel you should be able to take orders on the front counter. When a manager asks you if you want to use the kiosk and you say no and they look to another employee and say something, I find it very unprofessional.

I ordered on the app. When I got to the store the order was no longer on the app but the money had been taken from my account. After speaking with an employee and a manager they were able to help me find my order details in my email. They were both so courteous.  I didn't get their names but they were working at 2:30 pm on 10/2. Keep up the great work!

Slow as ever. Perhaps if they put their cell phones away they could properly serve customers in a timely manner. It’s not called “whenever the heck employees get around to it” food, it’s called FAST FOOD!

ThirsTea Cafe Birmingham

Really disappointed! My husband and I are big boba fans and came in from Huntsville for a day trip. It took probably 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were there, and that seemed to be the trend for others visiting, too. The boba itself was not good. Very chewy and hard, and overall the drink flavors were incredibly sweet / artificial tasting. Nothing was blended together within my drink or my husband’s, and he unfortunately ended up throwing his way after a few sips. The atmosphere creares a fun hangout spot! Some photo spots throughout. There was scattered trash here and there, but otherwise there were a lot of fun games to play with plenty of seating.

Really enjoyed this place! The boba was really good and the vibes here were suuuper unique. Loved the touch of games and the overall aesthetic. They played a movie on the TV, indie music on the speakers, and it created a comfy and chill environment. Will definitely be coming back here.

We just got some Vietnamese Coffee to try out.

For about $6 a cup, you get a good amount of coffee too.

Solid experience!

This is a great place for a refreshing tea, coffee or smoothie. This was my first visit and I enjoyed my Thai milk tea with boba. Just a heads up for others though, these drinks are full of calories - high in carbohydrates. Delicious but not great for the waistline.☺️

Not good at all. I went to get a Thai tea with almond milk yesterday and it tasted like celery for some reason. Also over $7.00 for a “regular” size is ridiculous. I used to pay $5.00 for a large and that’s in Dallas which is way more expensive than Birmingham, AL. Wild! Very disappointed because this place used to be good.

When you can’t remember what he remembers after visiting a restaurant, that’s good.
This means that there were clean tables and a restroom, that you quickly received your order and performed the actions that you planned with it.
It also means that you didn’t have to ask the manager for the key to the toilet and you weren’t surprised by the strange prices for ordinary dishes.

The kids love McDonald's, heck! We love it... and the McDonald's, here, in Trenton's food is excellent... but the prices for ALL of it has gone up so much, even with using their app... that it makes for a really bad experience. That's just the truth!!

Super fresh. Offered to make me lunch while I was traveling thru for work. The lady behind the counter gets 10 stars. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met and her kindness meant the world to me. Sometimes it’s more than food we need.

Update Aug 13 2023: Received some seriously odd food today, crust doughy burger... it would have been impossible for whoever made this burger to not have seen the nasty dough coming off of this thing...

By far the fastest McDonald's I've ever been to. At east 10 cars in the drivethru this morning and my car wasn't sitting still for more than 20 seconds.

20 year Active Military Member that travels often.  This is The Best location I have been to this far. Veterans employed there and quality of service and food are Amazing.  Thanks for the positive experience.

They took their prices up like everywhere else...I think that's why I'm so upset about the whole $20 bag of cold stale food. I got a burger, nuggets, and fries to play my odds thinking at least one or two items would be good.... nope. Seems like leftovers from the lunch rush. Fries taste like saltless cardboard. You see no salt on my desk from the fries. Like I'm so sad and disappointed right now. This was my cheat day. 😭😭😭

I dropped by McDonald’s on the way home. The drive thru was backed up, so I parked and went in. I had already ordered on the app and took a trip to the restroom. The restroom was spotless and well stocked. I took a look around while I waited on my order and found the dining area and fountain/tea area to be clean. Service wasn’t fast but it wasn’t slow either. The employees were friendly.

I got a McDouble, fries, the new Mambo sauce and Sweet and Spicy Jam, with a mocha frappe. Everything was hot and delicious. I really can not choose between the new sauces. Both were fantastic on fries and burger. If you aren’t a fan of spice, you could probably still enjoy this. Both are spicy without being too hot. Sweet and Spicy is the mildest of the two. I really hope they keep these two because they are so good. The mocha frappe was the best thing. It was perfectly sweet and spicy.

The person on the speaker and the person at the second  window was kinda rude the person at the first window that took the money was ok but all did not seem like they cared about their job. I ordered a big mac combo and 4 piece kids mean with sweet and sour sauce. I got my food and checked the bags the kids meal didn't have sweet and sour sauce so I had to ask for it. I got home to give my toddler her food and opened the chicken nuggets and there was five nuggets one that had been bitten off of and had sauce on it. It was disgusting! Never going back to this McDonald's! Have tried to call to talk to someone but their phone keeps coming up with busy dial. Gonna go up there later t try and get my money back!

Now I understand why this store is rated so incredibly low. Stopped in this afternoon (3pm on a Wednesday). Stood at the front register for several minutes, not acknowledged. Finally an employee, or manager, i really couldn't tell, trudged over. Looking at me with no smile, I spoke to her first to begin my to go order.  A Filet- o- Fish combo...."I ain't got no fish today" was the reply. What? Who's doing your ordering there. And who's training your customer facing staff?
Gotta tell you, I'm rooting for the robots in situations like this.

Employee would not let me use "20% off" deal on the app even though my subtotal was $5 and gave me wrong dipping sauce. Rude and dismissive.

I can’t say enough good things about our local McDonald’s! The family who owns and runs this establishment consistently goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Their warm and friendly demeanor creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit a pleasure. The staff’s dedication to ensuring a positive experience is truly commendable. Kudos to this fantastic team for their hard work and outstanding customer service!

I visted the restaurant in Chelsea around 9:30 pm like I normally do.  The manager on duty who appeared to have ORANGE braids was the rudest person I ever encountered.   She first became upset because I ordered no cheese nor onions on my burger at drive thru.  I heard the deep breathe over the speaker and the tone of her voice was very rude and unprofessional.   Once I received the $11.21 meal I noticed onions was on it.  I went and parked and carried it inside to get the correct sandwich.   She approached me and snatched the bag and threw it to the back line worker.   I continued to remain calm and kindly asked for a refund.  Once she proceeded to give my refund she stood there and talked about me.  Once againI remained calm and kindly said "honey I'm not upset."  The amount she refunded me was $8.79 so I will be returning to get my $2.42 when someone is on duty that's professional.   I would actually give her a 0 if I could.

I am spoiled by this McDonalds.

Y'all.....the shake machine works! The fries were hot and the burger barely fit in the box.
This location is out of the way for us but may have to become the way.
Oh and we ordered some chocolate chip cookies.....they made them fresh!

To keep in mind I work at the Chelsea McDonald’s first we do have some people in there that are really rude but not all of us is rude some of us care about our customers and we don’t have nobody working at all especially at night so if you see a long line plz just come inside because there only be 3 of us in the store so y’all have to be patient with us and I advise all of yall to get yall food cook to order because some of yall customers be soo rude like it’s just not always the employees and DoorDash if the door lock and there a long like just come around to the second window and tell us or knock on the door I’m pretty sure someone will see you yall gotta understand we are trying our best we may not be fast with three people but y’all’s food be fresh bc that’s what we mostly wait on is the food like we all gotta communicate better I love all my customers but look at it from a second person point of view because we not just sitting around we actually working love yall just a little side note to think about and also our phone is broken it’s not gonna ring so if you trying to call don’t just come to the store

McDonald's has really stepped up their game the couple times I've been there this week. The employees have been great and the food was hot and fresh!  If you had a bad experience with them recently, maybe give them another chance!

1st time ever to this 1 of a kind McDonald's. Some of the prices are ridiculous here, $9 for 1 special sandwich, not a meal, just a sandwich. But mcdoubles, spicy's, fries, Nuggets etc roughly the same price. Customer service was top notch, food was fresh, hot & tasty. Obviously, the turquoise color of this 1 & only McDonald was a great, different fun sight to see.

A McDonald’s is a McDonald’s! Food is nothing out of ordinary. Service was very friendly and not slow at all considering how many people were there. The blue M sign is cool to take photos with. Parking lot is not too big.

No one ever gets our order right half the time. I order the same thing, and it is never right. I get the #5 x2- 2 extra 10 pieces - fries come with the meal - and drinks come with the meal, and we never ever get our fries, or we get the fries and only 1 #5. It is really not that hard to do. The workers are going to have to start checking the screen and bags to make sure customers get what they pay for. 30$ for 2- 10 pieces and 2 drinks. And y'all want 15$ an hour and can't even get that right. Y'all owe me. Jeesh. This is ridiculous

We ordered our meals through the app online. It took them three minutes from the time we pulled up to the drive-through window to tell them the code to the time we got our food. That’s not bad at all! And we got a great deal online! If you haven’t use their app, you should get it and use it.

Staff is great! Very friendly and the restaurant is neat, clean, and organized. The food lacks a lot from McDonald's as a whole. It's cheap food for expensive prices. I can go to a sit-down restaurant and eat a good meall for just a few dollars more.

Best place ever! My childhood place! Best Service! Best food! I love McDonald’s! I love eating their for breakfast. The only thing I don’t like doing is waiting for the food in the drive thru takes forever.

Z's Bubble Tea Plymouth

Cute little place in the heart of Downtown Plymouth. The Bubble tea variety is nice, I wish they had more options like Guava etc.

One of the coolest places in DTP. The decor is a mishmash of cool teenage bedroom, coffeehouse and of course, comic book shop. The bubble tea rocks and the staff are chill.!

Very cute, good for tween/teens. It’s in a comic book store! Boba texture was great but flavor was a bit over sweet for me. They had very interesting flavors that would cater to the kids!

Nice to have a place like this in town. That being said, bubble tea is approximately double the price it should be ..$6 for what i would call a medium, But still a fun place with an air hockey machine!

Had a good experience, the people were nice and welcoming. Their bubble tea was very good. The chicken pad Thai, and drunken noodles were as well.
