I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Posh. They had come highly recommended and have so many 5-star reviews that I felt I was making a good choice hiring them to do hair and makeup for myself and my wedding party. I went in for my trial, and my makeup was cakey, breaking up on my skin, and I had mascara all under my eyes after 5 hours, so I decided to do my own makeup. I did a low bun for my hair, and it turned out beautiful. The gal that did my hair was very nice as well! My bridesmaids also looked beautiful! My other issue was that communication was just really bad. We had so much back and forth communication, and the numbers they would confirm were somehow always wrong. Posh was fine, but do a trial and make sure your communication is nearly foolproof.

We used Posh for 9 hair and 10 makeup for the day of our wedding! They did a fantastic job (my hair and make up made it through 95 degree weather for photos before the ceremony and you could hardly tell). They also were so timely and helped keep our day running smoothly!!

I used Posh KC to do hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids for my wedding in October of 2022! We had three women come to our Airbnb, and they did a wonderful job. They were very quick and efficient, super pleasant to chat with, and you can tell they really knew what they were doing!

My makeup experience was fantastic. It stayed on the whole day, it looked exactly how I wanted, and the fake eyelashes looked super natural.

I gave my hair experience a 3/5 because even though it looked amazing, it sort of fell apart throughout the day. I had it half up half down, with a braid on the left side and twists on the right side. My hair is super thick, and within an hour it started to fall out of the very complicated bobby pinned setup. I had to have my mom and a bridesmaid fix it multiple times throughout the day (at least 5), and we had to do a really big touch up right before the ceremony. Also, because my hair is so thick and straight, it has a hard time staying curly. I told the hair stylist this, but my curls still became super flat within a few hours.

Overall I'd recommend them, just definitely do a bridal trial, and make sure they know exactly what you want!

I was booked with Julia & she was simply amazing. I’ve had Brazilians before, but never tried sugar wax. Julia recommended it after seeing my skin/hair type & this girl definitely knows what she’s doing. It was quick, effortless, & the results honestly exceeded my expectations. Needless to say I started a membership & I was pleased to find out Julia works great with her clients in terms of putting the membership on hold or moving around dates, etc. Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Such an amazing experience I had here. I got my service done by Julia and she was so pleasant! Since coming to Kansas City I struggled finding somewhere I would be comfortable getting my sugaring and Hello Sugar is that place to go! Julia made my first time so comfortable and she is so thorough with what she does! 10/10 would recommend!

My esthetician was Kelsey & she was SO welcoming & informative on the entire process of my Brazilian wax throughout the entirety of it. I’m only visiting for the holidays but if I could keep going back to her I would, 10/10 recommend her!

I forgot who I had, but she was so sweet! she made me feel really comfortable and not as nervous as I was when first going in. The service was quick and the pain was I wanna say about a 7.5/10 for me. Highly recommend, it was my first time and i’m definitely going back again!

Dishonest. They informed my wife that there was no startup membership fee and then proceeded to charge her for a “startup” fee, claiming it was taxes. It was only after viewing the receipt that we found out what the erroneous charge was. I would not do business with these people as they are not entirely honest about their business model.
While it’s only $7, I value the principle more than the money.

Sherrie was very personal, she made quick work of what I thought was going to take an hour and a half. She made great conversation and made me feel really comfortable. Sherrie paid great attention to detail. I rebooked another appointment 4 week out with her.

The front desk girlies are always so welcoming 👏🏼 Markel is my fav wax specialist & I’ve tried a couple different ones. She’s a pro! Always pain free and makes you very comfortable. Kimberly is my go to and she is amazing. However, when our schedules do not align, I see someone else. Roxane was great the other day! Everyone is professional, kind, and quick. The facility is clean and the front desk girls are welcoming.

Very pleased with the service, professionalism and products found at the Stare Line location. Emary has been my go to gal ever since my very first visit. She was super patient with me explaining the entire process and walking me through it. She is fantastic! She’s the only one I will book with!

I have a wax pass but live out of state and was in need of a wax. I love that I can use my wax pass at any location. I was able to make a same day appointment and was scheduled with Leosha. She was WONDERFUL! I will definitely be scheduling with her if I am ever back in town. She was so kind and explained everything she was doing. It was the least painful wax I’ve ever had!

Kenzie (or Mackenzie) is one of my favorite specialist since coming to the facility. I’ve been proudly coming to the same location for the last 5 years or so and Kenzie has always taken of me. She a perfectionist & she makes me feel very comfortable. Out of five stars, I’d give her 20 stars!

I never write reviews but MacKenzie deserves one to spotlight her great service. Mackenzie is wonderful.  I’ve been going to her for months now for Brazilian wax & arms. She is consistently great!  She’s always sweet & she does an amazing job.  Highly recommend booking your appointment with her.

I've been going to ewc for years now. I've started going to the Leawood location for about a year now and have been going to Sarah! She has been literally the best tech I've ever had. She makes sure you're comfortable and does such a great job. All the staff here is so nice and welcoming!!! Honestly would go out of my way to keep going there!! Recommend this place 1000%%!!

Didn’t hurt, surprised by how little it hurt. I honestly thought, “she didn’t do a good,” because I barely felt it. She did an awesome job. Le'Osha was amazing! It was red after and a little itchy, but I wasn’t bleeding or anything like I have at other places. I have super sensitive skin.

Granted, I just did my eyebrows. I can’t speak for other areas of the body though. Pretty sure I read that you can wax between your cheeks! And I’m not talking about the face. THAT sounds painful. But if that’s your style, this is probably the place to do it.

Beth Ann was fabulous. There's no time time to be embarrassed or intimidated because she gets right down to business. We had a great conversation throughout the wax and I feel like she could be my new best friend, lol. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and she is very skilled. I will definitely be going back!

Radiant Waxing Lee's Summit

I got a Brazilian from Abbie and she was amazing! It was my first time being waxed, so I was nervous, but she walked me through each step so I knew exactly what was going to happen. She takes her time and does a great job. Will book with her again!

My first time experience here was excellent.  My Aesthetician, Meya, was amazing.  She thoroughly explained every step of the process. There was no pain or discomfort and she had a very customer centric personality. She was so sweet and is great at what she does.  I am in town on business but I will be returning.  The facility was very clean and sanitary.

I got a Brazilian wax done by Abbie and she was AMAZING! She was so nice and made me feel super comfortable. The spa was clean and well kept and Abbie was Very thorough with the wax service! I will 100% be coming back for more!!!

For starters, the aroma is amazing at radiant ! The atmosphere is very positive and bright! Abbie is the girl!  She gets the job done 100% every time! I have never had a bad experience with her although the reality is hair being pulled! She makes the experience overall very enjoyable. I wanna add that Abbie is hilarious so be ready for a good laugh. Don’t pass up radiant wax you will regret it :) !

This was the second time I’ve gotten a brazilian and it was even easier than the first time! Kylee is the best! She makes the experience super comfortable and is very quick! I would recommend her to everyone!

Shear Madness Haircuts for Kids

I took my 16 month old here to have his first haircut. I booked the “first hair cut experience” which was supposed to give us double normal appointment time to make sure everyone had time to get comfortable have fun. Right off the bat the stylist seemed to be in a hurry, did not listen to what we wanted from the haircut and definitely did not listen when I told her this was hard for me to see his curls cut. She didn’t encourage my child to get comfortable or give him time to adjust, actually cut his hair without the cape and kept telling him sternly to “sit still”. The entire cut probably lasted 5 mins. The haircut it’s self was awful and our first haircut experience was awful. The manager did a good job listening to our frustration and gave me the number to the owner who I still have not gotten a return phone call back. We will never be returning to any of their locations and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Couldn’t recommend Shear Madness enough! We are first time parents and brought our 2 year old here for her first hair cut. I was very hesitant because her hair is extremely curly. Kendra was our hair stylist and she was absolutely fantastic. From the friendliness to the employees, to the kid friendly environment. I really couldn’t think of a better place to bring our little girl! Will absolutely be returning for all future haircuts.

We had my one year old son’s first haircut at Shear Madness in Lee’s Summit today. Our stylist Maddy did such a great job and was so patient. My son was very squirmy and fussy the whole time and the cut still turned out great! I don’t know how she managed to do it but I’m very impressed! Highly recommend!

Great place to get a haircut for your kiddos.

There's different chairs for them to sit in: car, motorcycle, train, firetruck, etc. (6 vehicles total) so your kid can act like they're driving the whole time.

They're very kind for first haircuts and don't use clippers (just the scissors) to not scare the kid.

They have screens for each of the charis so the kids can watch their choice of show from a selection.

There's a lot of toys in the front of the store.

The haircut with the clippers wasn't perfect. Rather, it could have used some work. I think they probably think their clippers are barber grade (they are not), so they only go over the hair once when they should be going over it several times... and there were quite a few stragglers.

I will say, this would probably be a bad place to take a kid who gets overstimulated: toys, bright lights, lots of tvs, cars to ride. I imagine it would be hard for a child with sensory issues.

Took my  3 1/2 year old granddaughter to get a haircut Saturday. The girl obviously did not know how to just “trim”   Curly hair.  I could have done better.  Wish i hadn’t paid for seriously 3 maybe four snips and terrible braids( didn’t even part her hair straight ) Hair was uneven when we got home. Asked to have her bangs shaped up, wouldn’t trim them because she has curly hair.  If you can’t trim CURLY hair say so. Will NEVER go back there.

Kelly was so awesome! It was my first time and she was very kind and provided plenty of info to help me through the experience! I will absolutely return. The office is so beautiful and clean. Definitely recommend!

I was totally nervous to get waxed especially being plus size. But Ari has been so amazing!! She has always made me feel so comfortable! I recommend #WAX  for all your waxing needs.

I've been to #Wax twice now and both experiences have been excellent. Kelly did my waxes and they are better than any I've had at previous places.  Very friendly, very fast, very professional. I also like that they make it easy to book online appointments, appt changes, etc.  Great place!

Kelly does a fantastic job and is the most thorough aesthetician I have found in the area.  I went to multiple places prior and left each place unsatisfied with the service and expertise I paid for. I had my microblading class with Tammy Johnson, my experience with her was very pleasant, Tammy took her time to go over the course materials with me explaining everything I needed to know. She's very knowledgeable and precious about her teaching. The course went by very smoothly and well taught. Overall I had a good experience taking her class and I would recommend her to anyone who's willing to take her class. Thank you Tammy you're the best.

I see Tammy for both my lashes and microblading, she is very detailed and meticulous. My eyes tend to water while applying extensions and she is very gentle to avoid irritation as much as possible. She corrected previous work done to my brows and the individual hair strokes are fluffy and beautiful. I even see the nail techs that own their separate businesses in the same salon suites down the hall, they are friendly and do fabulous nails. Do not hesitate to schedule a consult!

I had SMP done by Tammy and am thrilled with the results. I did a total of 4 sessions, and she was always accommodating with my busy schedule. She was meticulous about the shade I wanted and the areas I wanted done prior to starting in order to make sure I got what I wanted. I trusted Tammy and she delivered.

Tammy is one of the most dedicated and ambitious people I've had the pleasure of meeting, and it shows in everything she does. She puts everything she has into her craft and will go above and beyond to ensure her clients are happy with the service they received. Do not hesitate to work with her. I was given the most amazing thoughtful gift - Two sessions into chemo cancer treatments I was looking pale, and colorless and yet excited, all at the same time! Mache is fantastic! I found Mache and her waxing service almost two years ago by the luck of the draw. I had moved from out of state not knowing where to go or whom to ask for a referral. If anyone has any hesitation about getting a Brazilian, do not. Mache has a way about her that makes you feel so comfortable. She is very detailed. I have 10+ years of "being waxed" experience so, I personally believe I have the knowledge to know a great Esthetician.

Mache is dedicated to providing excellent service to her clients. She uses quality, high grade hard wax which is rare in the Des Moines market.
