Too bad there's not an option to remove stars - I can barely stand giving this review a 1 star. One of the most awful customer service experiences I've had in my life happened here. Last night (sun 10/22) around 930pm, I stopped here to gas up. I was very low gas and had to gas up at that time. I was gifted a $30 shell e-gift card. When at checkout, told the lady there I had an e-gift card, wasn't sure how to use it. Right away she told me they don't accept gift cards, there's no way for her to enter it in the system or scan the bar code. I tried telling her, the scanner would scan a valid bar code and she completely refused to help, telling me to go get gas elsewhere, walking way from the register. I ended up downloading the shell app, because apparently that's how the e-gift card works and was able to pump the gas. This same lady, walked out of the store talking on the phone, telling whoever she was talking to that there's no way this should be working, she doesn't know how I'm pumping the gas, they don't allow gift cards, she tried telling me it won't work, and how did I get the gas pump to work. So damn ridiculous. I've told her several times this location should accept e-gift cards because the Shell app sent me there. Mind you, she messed up a transaction for another customer who was there before me. While she was so busy telling me she's been there for 17 years, she knows what she's doing and the don't accept e-gift cards, maybe the Shell corporation should provide some training to her, showing that e-gift cards are in fact allowed. Again, ridiculous, insulting and just horrible customer service. I suggest everyone get an e-gift card and go give this lady some practice😉
The lady working this morning has to be the most rudely person. How you keep employees like that I will never understand. If you don't like you job quit. There is no reason in the world to treat customers like that. If there was a 0 star to check I would have checked it. You lost my business and I know you don't care. Very bad business at this location
Lady working tonight is very angry and rude. Someone with that attitude does not need to be working in customer service. I am a General Manager of a company and I would like to know if one of my employees acted in this way . Especially without being provoked . Makes you wonder if she’s just racist . To raise your voice and cut off and over talk customers. Employee was in the back I waited a few minutes to be treated this way . I told her sorry she’s having a bad day and I left she continued yelling comments. Also I see the same lady in some of the reviews with pictures and nothing is being done . Is it ok she treats people this way at Shell in Thornton?
Dear owner, I think you should know this as you may not be aware that your associates are refusing to serve customers.
Today at 730pm, I stopped at this shell gas station as I normally do never have i had an issue before. Today, this lady in the picture you see below refused to open the doors to anyone who approached the door. She was talking on the phone, laughing on the phone, not acknowledging anyone knocking on the door to get her attention. let alone, there were 3 other people outside the store already trying to get her attention when I arrived. When I knocked, she turned to look at me rolled her eyes, continuing her phone conversation. There was no sign stating the store was closed temporarily what so ever. This is so unacceptable and unprofessional. This lady needs to be retrained or given a write for her behavior. Instead of making the store money, she is making the store lose money.
I tried to buy lottery tickets at this location. The guy behind the counter said he wouldn't give them unless I paid cash. He said he didn't want to run my card. I asked him why and he wouldn't give me an answer. Asked him to clarify that he didn't want to make the sale and he confirmed and said "no". I walked out with nothing. I wish I would have known this before I spent $100+ on gas and a car wash. I will find a different place to spend my money.
