Red Rock Mechanical saved our butts today. All week our 5 year old on demand hot water and heating system has been glitching and It finally exploded at 1am this morning. We called Doug (Owner of Red Rock) at 7am. His guys arrived at 9am with an entire new system and installed it. All communication was excellent and extremely accurate. They were very respectful of our home, they cleaned up after themselves, and the final result looked immaculate. I couldn’t thank them enough for fixing us up before the weather got really cold and I would highly recommend Red Rock for all of your heating needs.

I had called for typical boiler maintenance & because one of my zones appeared not to have any heat. We scheduled an appointment for about a week out. Woke up the next day, after having made the appointment to no hot water. I contacted Red Rock and left a message. I soon after received a text from Max stating they could be at my home that afternoon. They tech, (I am embarrassed to say, that I don't remember his name) arrived with in the time frame given. He was wonderful! So helpful and knowledgeable. He graciously explained everything to me and fixed the broken stuff quickly! I appreciate this buisnesses customer service so much! It's really top notch. UPDATE: Later that night my basement flooded, due to a "faulty valve on my water heater". The valve while old was not rusted and did not look faulty. The tech who came out to repair the cause of the flood had no explaination other than it had to be coincidence. I'm really doubtful that it was coincidence since it had been worked on only hours before. I am a solo-parent & I work full time. I had to take 2 days off of work to clean up the mess plus an extra $400 for clean up. Only to get a text from Max at 1:00pm the next day asking if I needed a tech to come out. Not even a little bit of empathy for the situation. So why a tech?? FOR WHAT??? To watch clean up the mess?? Now waiting for my bill.

One of my friends, a former employee of Red Rock, recommended them highly, so I reached out for help with some plumbing renovation projects, and possibly a new heat pump system. The owner himself, Doug, came out on October 10th and looked at the projects we had to do. He recommended I do some of the work myself, and recommended the well drilling company do some other work, which all seemed fair enough. Doug said, "I'll get back to you in a couple days with a quote." He said they were scheduling about a month out. No worries. Over a week later, I still hadn't heard anything on that quote, and that began a saga of over a month of both my wife and myself trying to contact Red Rock...email/phone/text with Max, their office guy...some quick responses, then multiple days between communications, then some definite miscommunications...we would have given up, but we'd already been ghosted by another company and decided to try being persistent rather than continue shopping. Anyway, we finally scheduled service for November 28th (still no quote, and not sure what they were planning to do...did clarify with Max finally). On the 27th, Doug emailed and said his service tech was sick and they needed to reschedule. Totally fair enough. We rescheduled for December 12th at 9 a.m, and I blocked that day off on my calendar. On December 12th at almost noon, I had called this a "no-call, no-show," grew frustrated, wrote a less-than-great Google Review, and started back at the beginning of calling other plumbing companies. I was literally on the phone with a plumber who was making plans to come out next week when Kurt with Red Rock showed up! Kurt, a heck of a nice guy, quickly zipped through my list of plumbing projects, and to my amateur eye, did a fantastic job. This was a list that would have taken me multiple days of fussing, cursing, and repeated trips to the plumbing store. I went from borderline pissed to totally thrilled. So there we have it...initially awesome experience followed by hair-pulling frustration and terrible customer service, finishing up with success and relief! Five stars for the quick initial visit, five stars for the work itself, and one star removed for the (lack of) customer care between the two.

The people at Red Rock Mechanical were very prompt to answer when our AC unit stopped working, and yesterday, their technician fixed the unit, which had two issues: one was electrical, and the other one, was refilling the coolant. He also checked the furnace and noticed I was using the wrong filters. He did show me a couple of things and gave me some good information and advice while working on the unit. Their company will now be our new maintenance people to service our heating and cooling system.

I have used Red Rock Mechanical for the past 5 years for servicing my home heating / AC. They have always shown up on time, very professional service and reasonably priced. I highly recommend.
