My younger brother and I go to this gym because it’s the closest to our home. The gym is pretty decent with gym equipment but what surprises me the most is HOW CLEAN IT IS, yes compare to other planet fitness around that area this one the cleanest, Golden gym from down town could never compare to the cleanliness here lol. The employees are very kind and always greet you and say good bye when you leave (please treat them kindly). One time I forgot my Stanley gym cup and they kept it save for 4 days, THANK YOU GUYS YOU GUYS ARE THE SWEETEST. now yes you might meet a weirdo here and there but a lot of the people that come here mind there own business, if you see something say something the staff are on it and will do their best to handle it. Please treat this gym with respect and clean after yourself when using the equipment everyone here does their little part to maintain it.
This is a gym you go to only because it's either cheap and/or nearby. The members are the biggest problem, and nothing can be done about that. A significant percentage of members are rude, selfish, and disrespectful. It’s often hard to find the free weights you want because so many others take them to all corners of the gym and leave them. And of those who do take them back to the rack, most put them in the wrong place. On one hand, I think it’d be nice if there were more free weights. But on the other hand, the rude people would probably just scatter those, too. I also often see members use equipment and not wipe it down when done.
The gym is full of machines taking up floor space that are actually harmful to human biomechanics. However, the machines also tend to attract the more ignorant people who don't know how to effectively use the free weights.
The gym is crowded from Jan-Mar with temporary New Year's resolutions, and during the summer with teens who get in free.
It’s been really hot in LA lately, but the AC seems to be either broken, or they’re just hoping keeping the doors open and the fans on is enough to cool it down. Not really. It gets pretty warm inside.
The surrounding environment is awful. Parking in the lower lot is very cramped. I usually park in the upper lot, which is less crowded and more secure. However, it also literally smells like an open sewer ALL THE TIME. I have to breathe shallow breaths through my mouth to make it across the lot.
The employees are overall very nice and pleasant to deal with. They also do a good job of keeping things clean.
The things I'd change to make this a gym I actually enjoyed are not realistic:
1. More free weights.
2. Members who are conscientious and respectful.
3. A parking lot that doesn't stink like human waste.
I have been ill and have lung problems because of mold. I prematurely signed up and need to cancel until i see the lung soecialist. I cant cancel and the keep charging my card. Now I found out my insurance will pay for my membership. They should make it easier to cancel for seniors who dont see so well and who ate seniors.
Excellent art supply shop! Located in Culver City, they specialize in Aerosols, Markers, Caps, and are some of the best suppliers in West LA! Family owned and operated!!
When I got here in planet fitness, the amenities were good and clean. women's locker room and restroom are clean. This is really what I have admired so far. The staffs were so polite. The cleanliness is manageable but a face mask required for safety reasons. All the room that I have went was amazing! You can ask the front desk staff to leave your valuable items before begin the workout. They take care of it! Thank you for having me to your gym. Sooner later I will get membership for good amenities! Sorry other gyms
