Parador de Ávila

This parador brings you back to the medieval age. It is located in the beautiful historic town of Ávila. It has a somewhat claustrophobic underground parking facilities, so if you own an SUV it is recommended to park outside. The garage also has destination chargers. People in wheelchairs can enter the hotel via the garage and then take the elevator. The staff is friendly. The menu of the restaurant did have some vegan options. The vegan options of the breakfast were limited, and there was no plant-based milk available.

We stayed in this hotel because it has the same last name as mine. The city is steeped in rich history which was very rewarding to learn. Hospitality is a second thought . Services well is something that you have to seek out as opposed to the opposite. Luis At the front desk was very very accommodating and very kind.

Great place to stay. If you have a large car then I wouldn't advise there car park as it's the smallest we've ever been in and trying to maneuver is a nightmare. The rooms are big and the bed is massive but there's no information in the rooms . Not a pen or notebook. The main desk has No information.

This Parador is breathtakingly beautiful surrounded by the city's outer wall and its mediaval structure, wonderful gardens, and waking paths great rooms and service. What was extremely disappointing was the food in its restaurant, expected something else.

I just wanted to express my gratitude. We were tired when we arrived at Avila and wanted to see the Cathedral, but could not find a place to park our car. I walked into the reception of the Parador Hotel in Avila to ask them for help in directing me to a viable parking spot. To my surprise, the receptionist offered me the only available parking spot on their property, even though we were not guests of the Hotel - our stay was already reserved in Salamanca. This was to me such an unbelievable act of kindness - I realize the tourists can be a real pain in the behind for the locals. It was also an example what hospitality is all about.
