Miguels Pizza

Miguel‘s is a cult classic. I can see why. You go for a hike in the red river gorge and then you need to be able to get nourishment and what perfect way to do that then with pizza. Miguel‘s is very unassuming. it is off the main road in Slaton Kentucky in a yellow building. The menu is extensive if your vegan don’t worry. If you’re vegetarian, don’t worry. They have plenty of options. The prices are also very reasonable. We got a cheese pizza, eight slices $12. The pizza was yummy and tasty and the space to have is was plentiful . This was excellent. We ate outdoors. Watched the kids play basketball and enjoyed our pizza. This was the perfect way to end a hike.

Heard how great Miguel’s was so we decided to give it a try. First the atmosphere is great they have two levels of indoor dining if you want air during the summer, after that the outside has three different areas of seating including covered areas if you don’t want to sit under the trees. They had a two man band the night we were there which was really good we definitely enjoyed that. On the down side do not expect to get your food fast on the weekends they are very busy and it takes a lot of time to make that many pizzas so enjoy the basketball court and maybe a few drinks as you wait. The pizza is average to most good pizza places nothing spectacular but good with a well cooked crust. Price is as you would expect being in a tourist area (pricey) but not out of control. You should definitely try this place while in the area. On a side note it is very pet friendly so if your are or your not an animal lover expect to see and be near plenty of them.

This is a must go when visiting the Red River Gorge, friendly staff, delicous pizza (well done in pictures) and a variety of local draft beers available! I backpacked for 3 days and stopped by on my last day. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating, a gear shop and camping available in the back lot for a small fee. Very happy with my experience here and will be sure to tell my friends! Thank you 🙌

I am from New Jersey, and this region is blessed with the best pizza. I don't often find pizza that is appealing to me when travelling, but this place has delicious pizza! Also my salad was huge! Fun atmosphere, kind staff. Went in the off-season, was quick no wait for a table. Very busy place in warmer months. Will stop there again if in the area.

We really wanted to love this place as it looks so fun and there were so many people. The food took a long time to be delivered and the pizza was just awful. The salmon sandwich though was decent and the meatball sandwich was very good and a great price. They had a wide selection of craft beer, which was nice. The atmosphere is fun like I mentioned , with lots of seating and dogs allowed. The servers though were like robots, and made no eye contact and just kind of put your food down without connection. The girls at the front counter, though we’re friendly.
