Hotel Parque México Boutique

Terrible “botuque” hotel. It’s quite old, very creaky, and loud pretty much all the time. The staff shout and bang things around all night. The small, windowless standard room was also quite warm and it was 45 degrees Fahrenheit out so this place would be absolute hell in the summer months. Good thing my room had a broken fan. The rooms all have a strong astringent odor, some more than others. I had to ask to be moved the day I arrived the smell was so bad. The floor was uneven and so was the bed. The bed was also hard as a rock. No water pressure to speak of. The water in the hotel is not filtered, don’t drink it. I will say the breakfast was ok even though I only had coffee and pastries and the staff was pleasant. Also I left my watch and they refuse to mail it back to me, so they’ve effectively stolen it. There are just so many better options in CDMX.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week as our first introduction to CDMX and Mexico. At first we found the hotel charming. The park outside is incredible and the hotel is in a great location. Its decor is lovely and security at the door are great. On the first night we were kept up until 2AM by the bar upstairs and the hotel staff who constantly yell and bang things around all night. They have no consideration for the people who pay a lot of money to stay here. The same happened early in the morning from 5-8AM, where the cleaners would wait outside your room having full conversations, waiting for you to leave. You could also hear all the plumbing around you, including every single flush from above. It’s great that they offer free breakfast. But far out, did this make me hate eggs… soggy tortillas and no seasoning. Coffee was great though. The room also lacked amenities. No heating, no kettle - not even a single piece of cutlery. The kitchen sink was also ‘out of service’ - lagging 10 litre barrels of drinking water into our ‘boutique’ hotel room is a bit of a joke. $250MXN for a load of laundry - just let me do it myself. The room also feels like a subterranean dungeon with no natural light. An ice box during a cold snap. Being boutique doesn’t mean being outdated. We have since stayed in places much cheaper and better value - drinking water should be a bare minimum in Mexico. As should heating or A/C if it’s an old building. Nothing against the staff who were always very friendly - but the quality of the hotel and its management are extremely poor. We still haven’t received our $2,000MXN ‘deposit’ after three weeks. Wouldn’t recommend.

I spent 2 nights in a suite in January 2024. Night 1 the floor and bed vibrated from 9pm to 2am due to some problem with machinery below (perhaps water pump or air extraction system on its last legs). Morning after night 2, no water in hotel - no working toilet, no shower. Staff suggested I go to some 'sister' hotel for a shower. No refund, nothing. Moved to a super hotel 200m away - Casa Mannach. Same money and superb.

A super nice small hotel in the heart of Mexico City, just next to a large park. Cosy rooms, the only thing I missed was a desk. The front desk crew was always helpful. The restaurant is operated separately and was great for the evening. Their breakfast menu is limited and could be expanded. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops in the area so I found this hotel well placed.

Great location and great restaurant, it's a shame that the guy at the entrance it's so rude that you just want to leave ASAP. He just basically insult you when you ask for a table.
