It’s a beautifully landscaped property with kind staff and a wonderful location beside the national park. However, the rooms are tired and need upgrading, especially the bathrooms where the shower door doesn’t even close properly. Also, the pool looks amazing but is not heated.
Between the traditional looking rooms and the view of the national park there are a lot of photo opportunitys, the restaurant offers a nice mix of traditional Mexican food and more conventional stuff and the bar is pretty well stoked to ward off the cold
The grounds are indeed beautiful but the rooms need upgrading. The pricing does not reflect the current aging state of the rooms we were offered. Could be a better value.
We haven't stayed here yet but we did visit the hotel and its grounds/facilities when we visited the nearby adjacent national park. The hotel's landscaped gardens and pool areas are stunningly beautiful and the hotel interior is classic colonial style of high quality. We will definitely return here to stay 5-6 days mainly to enjoy the property, the fabulous park with its many gorgeous waterfalls/paths and the quaint city.
It’s truly a paradise this hotel. The services are great. I request a handicap room for my 88 year old mother. Thanks Benny, Monica in the lobby. Sr. Antonio and son bell service. Raquel , Marina and Gloria room service ladies. Edgar and Raul. Everyone was great. They lend me a wheelchair at the hotel for free. Is a must if you visit Uruapan. If I forgot some names, I am sorry. But everyone was great. I definitely will return one day.
