The gym is great. It has plenty of good equipment. The glaring issue is that any acceptable time to work out, there are 250+ people in the gym. It makes it literally impossible to get your workout in efficiently. The workaround I have found is going at 2:00 AM. Obviously, most people can’t do that. I work East Cost time so it works for me. I’d recommend a different gym if you plan to workout anywhere from 4AM to 12:00 AM.
Gym looks great & well maintained. However, I wouldn’t have a positive experience to share because the policy for their 3 day pass is exclusive for residents only. I’m from Hawaii & currently live in NC, visiting family here for a week. Corporate shows the lack of willingness to help or maintain a professional relationships with potential clientele. When I move back here this gym would not be the first option I have. Their day pass is $25, I was here for a week & would have rather spent that money on a gym that showed the sympathy of welcoming me home. The only initiative they took was a phone call to “assist” in activating the guest pass to lure you into their “training programs”. I recommend that their sales team show less sales initiative & more genuine intentions of building strong relationships with their clients. Do better.
Welcome to the Kapolei branch of 24 Hour Fitness, where the crowd density rivals Times Square on New Year's Eve! If you enjoy playing human Tetris while trying to find an empty spot for squats, this place will make your dreams come true.
Let's dive into the ambiance: Picture a gym that's busier than a beehive on a summer day. Trying to get on a machine here is like trying to catch a unicorn - it's mythical and requires some serious magic. Seriously, they should offer classes on ninja moves to gracefully slip through the throng of people.
And cleanliness? Well, if you're searching for a challenge beyond your workout routine, spotting the floor under the equipment might just be it! They've mastered the art of hiding dust bunnies under weights - it's like an Easter egg hunt, but instead of chocolate, you find forgotten gym socks.
But hey, who needs a pristine environment when you can embrace the 'dirty gains' philosophy? Sweeping aside dust while lifting weights is a multitasking skill I never knew I needed. Who knew a gym could be both a workout space and a lesson in survival?
The camaraderie among members here is impressive, though. It's like a support group for navigating the chaos - bonding over the struggle of finding a clean bench or sharing knowing glances when someone accidentally sprays themselves with the water fountain.
So, if you're ready to embrace the organized chaos, the labyrinth of lost equipment, and the quest for a clean spot to lay down your yoga mat, Kapolei's 24 Hour Fitness awaits! Remember, bring your patience, your social skills, and a good pair of sneakers. It's a jungle out there, but hey, where else can you train for a marathon while perfecting your dodgeball skills at the same time?
Came to this gym as a guest while on vacation and it is F.I.L.T.H.Y. Don't waste your time coming, it's pretty gross. If you have no other choice, make sure you take some antibiotics ahead of time and sanitize your hands throughout your workout.
Because I am still deciding I currently attend as a "buddy." The space and amenities are great. However, the dressing room/shower/restroom stalls are filthy and have remained so for more than a week. I'd share a photo but use of camera is not allowed.
