A blessing of a location to be in Union Station! We were exploring and visited the exhibit within a short amount of time! ⏲️ We looked the chocolate 🍫 treats over and decided upon ice cream 🍦 instead! The ice cream was locally made, and okay, flavors! 👍 The server wasn't very friendly, and I suspect she meets indecisive kids each day,  but should be used to it! You'd think!

Went today and ice cream was delicious. However the server was not kind. It was the only woman working up front at 2:45 pm on 12/31/23. My 4 year old accidentally dropped his piece of chocolate. I asked if they could help us in any way and she rolled her eyes huffed and said "you have to pay for it". Had she been kind I would understand a store policy. But she clearly doesn't know kindness or proper customer service. We usually stop every time we go to science city and will not be back.

If you love chocolate and you are in KC, take a trip to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.   Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the options.   Whatever variety of chocolate you are looking for, you will find it here.

This place has insanely good looking chocolates. We were just going to browse, but decided to split a candy apple, 4 ways. I can't remember which flavor we chose, but I do remember it was probably one of the best sweet things I've had in quite a while. But, get this...what REALLY blew me away was how they sliced the apple.  I have avoided candy apples since about the age of 10 because they're such a mess to eat.  Well, the guy  just took that apple like it had no stick and sliced it 4 times, like it had no stick...just like you do it in your kitchen. I know,  right? Four of us looked in amazement at the simplicity of that task.  If you don't get what I'm talking about, I really can't explain it. All I know is that the four of us, aged 30 to 65 were flabbergasted!! Call us crazy....

Anyway, YES! GO!

The UPS Store

10/10/23- I had Amazon packages to return and searched for a UPS store near my destination.  Upon arrival the parking was great, right in front of the store.  I walked in with my two packages with one person in front of me. The flow at this location is quicker than what I'm used to at other stores. It's wonderful. When I got to the front I was helped by Devon. Thank. God. She was helpful, quick, informative and made this event less stressful. I had 2 separate returns but only 1 QR code. Sensing my frustration she asked me what was wrong. At first I felt she wouldn't be able to help me by making a copy of the label sent to my phone. She's like yeah we can. I said nuh uh. She said yes we can. Send it to our email address and we'll make a copy and send it on it's way. Of course UPS can. So when I asked the price she said zero, it's free. No it's not. Yup it is y'all. Had Devon not asked me questions I would have left that store to find a print shop somewhere else. If we just open our mouths, it's amazing who God puts in our path to assist when needed. I'm grateful for Devon, truly I am. We will always choose Brown-full stop. Thanks for being the best part of my day Devon.

I had to write a review for this UPS location because Tziah and Berger were simply wonderful—attentive, engaged, kind, and capable of anything their position required. I came in to send a return to a merchant and they made my experience easy and pleasant. They were also aware of other customers’ needs and personable with ALL. These guys are the real deal! Promote them, UPS!

The UPS store located in downtown Kansas City is simply outstanding. No matter who is on duty, the staff consistently outperforms their suburban counterparts in terms of efficiency and customer service. Their performance is exceptional to the point where it is hard to adequately express my satisfaction. As a frequent Amazon shopper, who frequently makes returns, I find myself visiting this store on a regular basis. The high quality of service provided at this location consistently enhances my experience.

The owner, Bob, helped us create and print some business posters for an upcoming conference, virtually. He is very responsive to emails and phone calls. The posters were ready for pickup when we arrived in Kansas City and they looked great. I don’t have a photo because I wasn’t in attendance but the conference committee members were pleased with the quality.

I rarely write reviews, but this is a special case. A gentleman named Bob (I hope I've got the name right) went above and beyond to assist me over the phone. What's remarkable is that I was actually at a different UPS location and had been unable to get any help for an entire week. This is undoubtedly the best UPS branch in KC. If a UPS manager happens to read this review, Bob definitely deserves a raise; he's exceptional!

Midas

Once again I’m beyond impressed by the honesty of Midas. Stopped in during a trip through Missouri to check out my brakes, suspecting it’s time for new pads, and was told by Jason that I still have enough - 5mm on my front and 8mm on my rear. It could have been an easy sale, a quick buck pulled from someone a long way from home, and yet they continued their insistence of being honest. It’s so rare these days!

Midas will remain my trusted source for qualified and HONEST service. Kudos to this company!

Went in for an alignment before thanksgiving! I just forgot to leave you a review. Super nice guys, great service. I brought my kiddos in with me and they tried to entertain them or make them laugh and joke with them. Definitely making the appointment less boring for the kiddos 😅
The only thing I will say is when I'm online and I try to book and appointment or get a quote, I get an email saying you'll get back in 2 business hours or at least by the end of the day. Every time I have tried to do that, I don't get a phone call, no text, no email. So I don't know if it's not set up right or if you guys just don't check the messages?  That's my only complaint.

As an ASE Certified Master Mechanic it is rare that seek out an automotive shop. Midas at 6003 North Antioch Road got me in quickly, took care of my vehicle and got me back on the road. And the other family vehicles since.

GREAT experience at this Midas! They got me in right away when I was in a pinch, had super fast wifi for me to be able to work and the service was great. Highly recommend!

Bruce was very helpful, he located a battery that saved me some money, was a bargain.

My last time ever stepping into Ace. First nobody helps, second item will say in stock and you show up, they are out. you need to beg for someone to help you here.

I have always loved going to ace, but I've never been to a better one than here. Staff is wonderful, kind, and smart. They helped me with my questions and gave me the best advice!  I 1000/10 recommend going here, and Robert is the only reason. I wish I could smooch his bald head!

Very happy with outdoor mechanical sun shade for under the deck. The whole experience was great! Jeremy came out gave us a quote, timeline and expectations. He did a thorough job of explaining options and process. Very easy to work with. Would highly recommend

These are very high-quality curtains. At first were not happy with the installation, but Jeremy made plans for repair.  As soon as he heard about this, he reached out and has made arrangements to repair the problem for us.
He is very professional and when there was a problem he made things right.

Jeremy was able to help us figure out the best options for the windows at our office that were not efficient and economical. The attention to details from Jeremy, Aubri and the installer was much appreciated. We love our blinds!

stay away from this gas station unless its an emergency! place is a total scam! if you use a card they scim your money and overcharge you.

They deliberately scam your fuel rewards. Their gas pumps will use up any fuel reward or hyvee points you have then reset and not discount the gas. This appears to be deliberate because it is on all the pumps and the staff will not help.

I cannot go to this gas station customer service sucks because it's in a different language & when you swipe your card they'll hold your transactions for days. They need to fix their systems or close it down

So disgusting! The place always smells bad. Food is expired and moldy. The cashier is always talking on his phone and completely ignores customers.

Pretty nice selection of good products. The cashier seemed to have a working knowledge of what was being sold. I'd have given them a 5 had he not roped me into a monthly "Routines" membership that not only costs money every month but sends me stuff. No real, up front explanation that I was being signed up for it or nothing, very not kosher for me.  Probably had better encourage your employees to be more honest in their dealing, not snakey. Honestly, I won't go back to that store. Otherwise the store and it's selection of products and price would be worthy of repeat business.

I don’t typically review places - but my experience here was honestly fantastic. Aaron worked with me and I felt like I was shopping with a friend. I asked questions (I’m very much a beginner when it comes to supplements) and he was very kind and helped SO much! Such a sweet guy!

Staff was very helpful& knowledgeable about products in the store. Answered our question an explained differences in certain products as well as primary use for them. We were at the Westport area store an Austin is a great guy. We will be repeat customers!

These are my guys! They know their products very well. I've been able to get into a groove of catching things that are on clearance there and that's been great. They'll take time to answer your questions about products or find products that meet your needs as long as they aren't too busy. Most recently I was able to stock up on OrganIQ vegan protein powder that was on clearance and over the course of the next few months I will have saved a lot of money buying on the discounted bulk. I hope the team they currently have stays there for a good while

Very knowledgeable staff!  I come here often, never feeling pressured to buy extra or more than I need.  All of the recommendations I've received from the staff here have been extremely beneficial.

Do t buy cigarettes here. I bought Lucky Stripe Reds earlier today and they were $7.47! I get them for $4.75 or $5 everywhere else. every else.

I have a receipt for 2 boxes of incense and two .50 bags of chips. Total 10.60?? 3.49 (Usually
$1.49) for each incense and .79 for the small chips. Went back and prices where cheaper. The guy overcharged me and I think it was my appearance as to why he did that. Stop robbing the community you serve. Thieves.

I don't write many reviews. However I visited this location with my friend Jake & he knows this guy Ron who works there.  Ron is why I give them 5 stars.  He was helpful, friendly, & a very cool guy.  I mean he was super cool!  And takes customer service to a whole new level!  Thank you Ron!!!  You rock!

I visited this Shell last night to pick up a few small items totaling maybe $12 and was charged $36. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location, so I would certainly avoid them. The location is sketchy anyway, but you’re better off driving a bit further for a more trusted gas station!

Please be aware that this station is a ripped off store. I believe most the overcharged claim reviews. I don’t think it’s fair to charge me extras money because I am using debit or credit. If you can’t afford swipe service fees either, which is already absorbed in the final product price, then advertise your store as cash only.

Ranch Mart Ace Hardware

This place is really nice.  Excellent service, friendly helpful staff, great prices, and an extensive selection of all kinds of things...a lot more than just your normal hardware store.

Called ahead to make sure they have the wood walking sticks that I’m looking for. The associate on the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable, knew off hand that, yes, indeed they have what I’m looking for! We head that way, the wood walking sticks are the first things you see when you walk in the store! However, I was like. Sensory overload!!! In the best way! RanchMart Ace Hardware is clearly doing their part to support local, small businesses as there are soaps, lotions, candles, napkins and all sorts of(non)must haves! I grabbed a greeting card and my walking stick and was checked out by the same super nice lady I spoke with on the phone. My total was around $46 so I gave her a $100 bill and she said that they can’t take $50’s or 100’s anymore because there has been an influx of counterfeit bills going around!!! No big deal for me but I was astonished that’s happening. Just too bad. Great experience at Ranch Mart Ace Hardware, though!!!

The store was very busy-backed up to the door.  At the time I went-there was only one employee working.  She not only kept calm and was extremely efficient-but she was polite, knowledgeable, respectful, helpful and kind even under extreme pressure.  What could have been a long wait time and a lot of stress was a short visit, easy and enjoyable.

The service here is normally very unfriendly, with few exceptions. Today was interesting: I was shipping multiple pre-labeled packages and the representative had to walk 4 feet to a console each time she scanned one of the packages. It looked like a pain. She asked for another associate to assist her and I joked "but it's good exercise". She didn't take it that way, apparently, and divulged in an extremely negative and rude way that she has low blood sugar or something along those lines. TMI. Anyway, I still tried to make light of it by saying "then exercise would be even better". She got further agitated and turned hostile, accusing me of calling her "fat". I didn't even think of her as "fat", but anyway, she became an instant victim for some reason. She said that I could take my packages and leave her store, at which point I was shocked in that she must be the store manager. I asked and she said she was not, but that her manager was right next to us. Christine was, in fact, 2-3 feet away during this whole event. I said that I'd just talk to Christine to sort out the issue. She then continued to scan my shipments and all the while I was feeling apprehensive that they would not be handled correctly. Christine finished with the customer she was working with and turned her attention to me. I am actually unsure as to why after hearing her associate blow up at me in front of many customer that she did not intervene at the time, but maybe she's new to management. I have had pretty good experiences with Christine up until today. To be continued...

This is a comically bad business. The employees are grumpy, and for reasons I cannot understand, they make shipping packages more difficult than it should be. Twice they have told me they couldn't ship a package, but then when I go to a different UPS Store they kind of laugh like they know what store I'm talking about and ship the package with no issue. They once told me I HAD to ship from a UPS warehouse that was out of my way. Went to another shipping store and they took my package and gave me a receipt, no problems. If you enjoy the DMV, you'll love this place.

Really quick and easy! Located across from Walmart neighborhood market. Lots of boxes and other shipping products available for use. They also offer PO boxes. Went there to return an Amazon package they printed the label for me and retaped the box. Absolutely a wonderful experience and I would use them again.

Ended up here after another UPS Store told me they couldn't fulfill my online print order because nobody at their store had the login info for their system (what?). Came in to pick up my order and was given a total 50% higher than what I expected and what the other store was going to charge before they turned out not to be able to do the order.

Naturally, I objected to this price. The employee, one of the nastiest people I have ever dealt with in any business anywhere, then ranted at me about she would cut the price because I was "complaining," but if she "got in trouble" it would "come out of her money."

I'm not sure why she expected me to care about her getting in trouble after she had been nothing but rude to me, but I told her she would lost lose the entire sale instead and walked out.
