School of Rock

My son attended a week long camp at School of Rock -Ashburn this summer. I loved that he had the opportunity to try out various instruments over the course of the week
- and then display his newfound talents in the week’s ending performance.
I would definitely send him again!

Stella is an amazing vocal teacher. Within the first month of me being taught by her, I can already notice improvements in my voice. She works with my learning speed and never feel like the lessons were too fast or too slow. I feel like she personalizes her lessons depending on the style of my voice, which helps me learn what my voice is like and what songs go best with my voice. However, she's not afraid to get me out of my comfort zone which I HIGHLY appreciate. I am a vocal amateur so I don't know even *how* to get out of my comfort zone or what even my comfort zone was. But Stella guides me through it and, even though I'm no singing prodigy, now I am more confident than ever with my voice.

My daughter has been going there for summer camps and private lessons for a couple of years and she absolutely loves it.  They do their camp performances at a local brewery.  How cool is that?  It's amazing how much they can teach these kids in just four days.  Highly recommend for anybody looking for a great summer camp or looking to get into music.  We've tried different places before School of Rock and we will not be going anywhere else now.  Couldn't be happier.

Both my kids go to Ashburn School of Rock. My daughter is a vocalist and has been involved in the show program and the younger house bands for four years. We love it. She has progressed so far with the help of the wonderful staff at School of Rock. My son started playing drums there about a year ago in the Rock 101 class for younger kids. He absolutely loves his teacher Bill - going to his lesson is his favorite activity of the week ! He just debuted on stage in one song last weekend and is excited to be joining the show program next season!  Couldn’t be happier to give this school a five star review!

My kids have been taking lessons and playing in bands as part of the performance program at School of Rock Ashburn for 6 years. They love it!!  My kids that want to learn musical theory to advance their playing have found supportive teachers, and my kids that play be ear are equally supported.  They have loved the different performance options and venues and have played in some pretty cool places.  Playing in a band at School of Rock has also helped their public speaking skills, gain stage presence, and renew their commitment to academics.  My kids will say being with School of Rock is one of the best decisions they've made!

Kiddie Academy of Wake Forest

Absolutely love Kiddie Academy of Wake Forest! Vanessa does an amazing job and my daughter’s teacher Mychelle is so creative and hands on with the children. I’m going to be sad when my daughter has to leave her class due to getting older. Saniyah does a great job as well. Thank you both!

Kiddie Academy of Wake Forest has been a wonderful daycare for my son the past three months. Suchi and Vanessa are passionate about childcare and it shows! We always get a warm and personal welcome upon arrival. The school provides a well balanced and wide variety of meals and snacks. There are cameras which can be accessed via the app which has been very reassuring for this new mom.

Nothing but great things at Kiddie Academy @ Wake Forest - Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Suchi are amazing and my daughter loves her teacher Ms. Jessica! We get daily pictures and videos every now and then. The camera access is amazing and every time I call they are quick to answer the phone! 100 stars if I could!

Kiddie Academy of Moorefield Station

Kiddie Academy is a excellent place for children. Since the first time we were received with kindness and care. They took the time to provided all the information and answer all of our questions. From the director to the teachers our baby always felt safe and calm ( we got daily smiling pictures  showing this). The kids are in a safe and healthy environment that promotes growth and learning. I totally recommend Kiddie Academy Moorefield Station for your kids.

We have two children at KAMS, both starting at 6 months and we have been with the academy for the last 4 years. We have built a relationship with our kids teachers and if any issues came up, they were immediately addressed and resolved. The love and admiration the staff at KAMS has for the children is unlike any other school. My kids are excited to come to school each morning and have truly enjoyed every moment of their time at KAMS. With my oldest graduating to go onto Kindergarten next year, we are saddened to lose out on the attention, love and dedication she has received these last 4 years by a team who have molded her into the amazingly intelligent, warm hearted girl she is today. I can only hope her next school offers that same dedication. As for my son, I know he’s in the best hands here. A good daycare has a well trained staff offering love and commitment to the children. As my daughter was turning 3, I wanted to put her in a daycare to socialize because we do not have family here and she is a very social and friendly girl. From the first day, I did not have a good experience. One of the main reasons why I put my daughter in this daycare was because there is a live camera to watch the children. First of all, there was a teacher who was very kind, but she was not a qualified educator. Every time I looked in the camera, there was no structure to the class it was more of a free for all. I told the school this multiple times and they told me it was that was because I bring her to daycare late?? I would see from 9-6 there was no group activities or anything. I would see the teacher sitting bored as children split up and played with toys. I wanted to take her out but my husband said lets try another year. After the first year, when my daughter was turning 4 we started taking her at 9 on the dot to see if the issue was actually we were late, there was a new teacher that year. Even though we took her on time, they separated my daughter from her friends because they said my daughter does not know certain things. The manager set a meeting with us and really bothered me and made me feel like I was not a responsible or good mother. They always gave me this feeling just because I would bring my child late, even though I would take her late on purpose so she could be with me in the mornings as I did not have to leave for work until later. A tension was started. My daughter who was obsessed with school turned into a girl who would cry every morning because she didn't wanna go to daycare. But we still kept her in the daycare but I never saw that she had learned anything, even a song, her abcs, 123, etc. Whenever I'd complain they'd say my daughter doesn't listen and she is a crazy kid and they can't control her and it's because I do not educate her at home. Here are the notes from our first teacher meeting:
"Doesn’t recognize shapes, letters, and numbers. Need to know numbers at least up to 20. Need to know how to write numbers up to 20. Need to know how to write letters. Need to know how to write her full name. Knowing number up to 100. Knowing and recognizing side words. Knowing how many sides each shapes have. Knowing the sound of each letter. Mixture of each category would be the best so she doesn’t get bored. Don’t teach letters in order, teach in mix, teach each letter with words that have the letter in it even though it is in the middle of the word. Peter rabbits learning game on computer.Practice minimum 1 hour each day. Work on her listening more and make sure she understand rules and follows them."
My daughter was not even 4. I just wanted her to have fun, I did not send her to an ivy league school. They told me if my daughter didn't learn these things they'll put her in the slow/ESOL classes once she starts school.
One time, my daughter and another student went under a table and she cut a little of the other's hair. They called her father saying the other's girls mom is so upset because she cut so much hair, they were very angry. They sent the girls to the office, and when I came to pick up my daughter, she said she had already apologized for cutting the other girl's hair. I told her she apologized so its ok, shes only 4 so its good she understood what she did was wrong. The manager on the other hand yelled at us, saying its not ok. I said what should I do, hit her? She apologized what more should I do? She kept nodding his head no with an expression on his face making me feel like I was looked down on and a bad mother. The next day of daycare, I took a gift for the girl who's hair she cut. The other mother was shocked to see I gave her a gift, saying "whats the big deal? It was so little hair she cut off they are just kids." This means the manager lied to me when she said the other mother was very mad, and it was not a lot of hair. The teacher should have taken care of this situation in the class, but there were so many students that she could not control. Theres more, out of characters.

Had a very bad experience with this facility. Very rude receptionist. Not helping with homework as the admin had put it. They kept me waiting at the reception as they served customers who even came after without asking why I was there; descriminative you can say. My child always dreaded this daycare and would come home unhappy most of the time. One day,my child had been signed out as picked, but was still in the facility.

very rude staff. I had a concern and was trying to talk to front desk woman, she didn’t make eye contact , kept playing on her computer, and was eating. then took a personal call while i was trying to talk to her. teachers aren’t the nicest either. they don’t serve food that children really like either. i’m sure all the good reviews are from the workers there. my niece has came home from school saying she got hurt at school and the teacher didn’t even tell my family or i that has happened. they don’t communicate properly either. We want to take my niece out.

The Learning Experience - Corona

Kiddie Academy of South Reno

We waited over a year to enroll our daughter. After 8 months of attending this for profit daycare 3 days a week they used her personal information to expel her with a 2 week notice so they could fill her spot with someone 5 days a week. They did give use the opportunity to pay more money. This is not an academic. It is a For-Profit sitting service that is cherry picking. She was not causing any problems according to 2 of her teachers. They finally used her speech therapist statements to expel her. Do Not share your child personal information with  them, they will use it against her in the future. This is NOT an Academy it is a For-Profit setting service. The turn over of employees is amazing (something is wrong there) Hopefully this will save someone some grief.

I was super glad to move my baby from Kinder Care to KIDDIE CARE ACADEMY. Looked like it is the best option ever. The staffs and all the teachers here are supper friendly and helpful. I have no doubts sending my baby to the school every single day because I know the owners (erin and andrew) and the director (Lyra) are doing their best to help out the working parents, especially during winter and snow days. And especially to Ms. Mary, Ms. Kirrin and Ms. Vanessa (Bobcats classroom); you guys made the vital mode roles to every kids in this classrooom. My baby does not want to stay home even when shes sick because she loves going to school to see her teachers and friends. You can see the teachers put their ultimate love to every kid. Also they create lots of fun activities for the kids to take part in and they are also very patient to the kids as well. I just want to say: thank you and our family is appreciative for your being here and my baby's teacher during her early education - I believed this early education is really important for our babies. We absolutely love Kiddie Academy! I was nervous about sending our youngest to pre-school, as he had only ever been at home with me. It took him a little bit to adjust as we knew it would, but the teachers were amazing and so helpful when it came to helping him adjust to being there. They are very attentive to all of the kids. Our son loves being there and loves all of the staff!

Kiddie Academy is truly amazing place . They have became our family . My son is in the 3 year old classroom with Ms lani and Ms Idania and enjoys going to school each day and the does he learns is amazing. Kiddie Academy is our home 🏠

I absolutely and undeniably recommend. Childcare is definitely in a crisis state right now in Reno and finding this preschool was such a relief. The staff here made us feel like family and that we were in great hands. Our son also has a speech delay (thanks pandemic) and the resources they pointed us to are a blessing. We are truly lucky to have found such an incredible community with this preschool.

The school is clean, and the staff is friendly and professional.  The pool is not crowded when I attend my swimming lessons, which I appreciate.

It's everything you're looking for in a spiritual retreat. Speaking as someone who struggles with feeling like a burden everywhere I go, you'll feel right at home here. This community of people is so welcoming I didn't want to leave. I'll take the experience with me for life, and it makes me calmer just to touch the memory. I cannot commend the menu enough. Seriously. I learned a thing or two about a thing or two just by dining here. The feeling of togetherness while respecting your private space is just such a priceless concept. Also! Ask about the gift shop!! You won't be disappointed! Thank you, Vedanta, for (amongst so many other things) bringing us a little bit of your culture so we could take some home.

My husband's and my retreat was an unforgettable experience, surpassed only by the excellence of our hosts, Kristin and Deepak. Their generosity of spirit was palpable, and the teachings they imparted during our New Year's breathwork retreat have already begun to enrich our lives. I came here with little expectations. However when there’s a spiritual retreat I have experienced some people who claim things they are not . I will say this was really relaxing and super insightful. I learned how to care for my self. Kristin is quite the ray of light she is knowledgeable and has such a calming energy . Kristin knows her craft . The facilities are posh with a sense of community. We also had an opportunity to do our own exploring of the area. I would recommend this retreat to all my friends and family who are seeking some spiritual guidance . The best thing I found is that all healing starts and ends with you . Kristin facilitates you into going within your self to find that inner healing. I will be coming here as many times as I can . During the summer they had a weekly theme which was fun; my son learned about space; planets.  So happy i found this place.
Little pricey but happy to know my kids are in great and safe care.

My 2 year old loved Kiddie Academy! We were there for almost a year before we moved and had to switch childcare. His teachers were kind and loving and he loved saying hi to everyone coming and going.

I love this school, and so do my children. Friendly staff, clean and fun environment, and secure facility. My children are always bringing work home that they are excited about and share with me what they learned about each week.

Such real, caring and genuine people! Could not be happier with this Kiddie Academy!
