Great amazing experience! Malia is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor, she always has many pointers to help you improve no matter what kind of issues is hindering your floats/swim. My sister and I do the semi private lessons and we have  drastically improved since starting a month ago, we can’t wait to continue to get better and incorporate more styles of swimming to our growing skills. The owner here is very thoughtful, understanding, and communicative as well. I would highly recommend coming here if you are an anxious swimmer or an anxious person in general. This is definitely the part of my week I get excited for!

The trainers with British swim school are all great. They take time to assess the level of comfort some has with the water and work to improve on the comfort level as well as skills while in the water. They ensure that your concerns are heard while in the water and guide you all of the way. They also have areas for parents to wait and observe which I appreciate

Instructors are really helpful and patient. I decided to learn to swim and I have done more things underwater than in my entire lifetime in just 4 sessions. I am still working on being comfortable in the water, but I am a lot more confident than when I started. This pool at the embassy has a slightly slick bottom, so be careful.

Very patient and consistent with teaching kids techniques for swimming. The cost is great compared to other swim classes. Classes are small in size which is good for beginner learners. Also, the communication from James is very effective and consistent

The directors really take the time to hear me out and don’t make me feel like a needy or tough parent for being vocal and asking tons of questions. They are new and each week I see the improvement in the process and my children absolutely adore their teachers. They communicate very well and the camera system makes me feel like I’m not completely disconnected from my child. I recommend this day care. The facility is very nice.

British Swim School at LA Fitness Northeast Charlotte/Concord

This school is everything! Mr. Victor is a wonderful teacher. He is constructive, well meaning, and encouraging. Cassie and Kayla are so good with the kids especially when they are hesitant to participate. James is a very good communicator with families, flexible, and understanding. It is a well rounded group that create positive environments for swimmers at every level and no judgement. The boys have been going for two years and plan to continue at least another year or more. Swim is a necessary life skill. Look no further, bring your kids here!

We moved recently (Feb 2023) from Baltimore to Charlotte and we really valued the swim lessons we did with our children in Baltimore to make sure they learn life saving techniques if they were to ever fall in a pool. It was a rough start with our son (5) as he tends to struggle with new things and transitions but after about a month or 2 of going to lessons and being consistent he's leveling up super fast. Our daughter (2.5) started shortly after and is now in the same class. The teachers have been great and they've all gotten to know our names and our kids names. When we try to schedule the kids as close together time wise as we can and class schedule permits they've always gone above and beyond to accommodate. We barely use the swimmies or puddle jumper with our kids in our neighborhood pool anymore and a huge part of that is because of what this place and company teaches our children. Heck even my wife and I float better in the pool/ water after paying attention to some of their tips and tricks they've given to our kids. 10/10 company and teachers!

The staff is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and caring. I see my child gain skills and confidence in her swimming abilities. I feel that she could save herself in a water situation and is able to swim without needing a life jacket.

Started my babe at 9 months old and what a difference 6 months later in his abilities to swim! He can go under water without coughing, learned to hold his breath float on his back, scale the pool wall and feels comfortable in this environment. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff and instructors. We love Cassie and Victor! Facilities are clean and welcoming, pool is large enough that multiple classes are able to run without getting in each other's way.

Safari Kid Leslie/404/HWY7

My son attended Safari Kid Leslie/404/HWY7 when he was 2 years old, where he was in the toddler room with Teacher Katie as his first caregiver. We were so relieved because Teacher Katie provided excellent care, and our son always had a smile when we dropped him off. He later had Teacher Toby and Teacher Sarah, who continued to provide a joyful and nurturing environment. He genuinely enjoyed all the activities they had in class every day. Whether it was learning new things indoors or having a blast during outdoor playtime, he was always full of joy. The teachers here put in a lot of effort to keep our children safe, happy, and focused on their education. This daycare truly provided a wonderful environment for his growth and happiness. We can't thank them enough and highly recommend Safari Kid Leslie to all parents seeking a safe, fun, and enriching place for their children.

Special thanks to Ms. Ammy for not only keeping us updated but also going the extra mile by regularly sending us pictures of our son actively engaging in various activities. She consistently responds promptly to all our concerns and inquiries, even with her busy schedule. Her kindness and love for the children in her care truly shine through in every interaction. My son attended this daycare and he had a lot of fun, Ms. Amy is great and she loves kids, from the first day she provided all the information we need, and always taking great care of detailed things every now and then, after we join, daily communication was also conducted through whatsapp. This center also provides various extra programs and summer camps/field trips with extra fee, I also want to mention that Ms. Yan is very nice and kind, my son successfully completed some important life skill training with her help. Food was from a catering company, and my son loved the afternoon snack.

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the amazing year we've had at Safari Kids. It's been almost a year since my daughter started, and the transformation is incredible. From tearful mornings initially to joyful and eager anticipation every day now, the journey has been remarkable.

Our family has transitioned from initial apprehension to complete confidence in Safari Kids, all thanks to the dedicated teachers – Carol, Ammy, and Summer – and our supportive principal, Ammy. Their unwavering commitment and daily actions have earned our trust. I cannot find more responsible, patient, and dedicated educators elsewhere.

I hope all mothers get to read this review and understand that Safari Kids is an environment filled with love. Unlike traditional Montessori schools I've visited, where non-verbal children may struggle for attention in mixed-age settings, Safari Kids embraces a playful learning philosophy that I truly appreciate.

Above all, what sets Safari Kids apart is the personal touch. Ammy consistently shares at least 8 photos daily, along with updates on our child's well-being. It's evident that the teaching team genuinely loves the children and works diligently every day.

If possible, I wish for my child to continue learning here. I highly recommend this school to all mothers, especially under the caring and professional leadership of Principal Ammy.

** PARENTS BEWARE** My father who has terminal lung cancer has been disputing with the administrators of Sarafi Kid since 2020 for a refund of my brother’s fees. The lack of compassion and responsiveness is mind blowing. My 4 year old brother was enrolled beginning of March 2020 and the province wide COVID shut down started end of March. My dad started chemotherapy mid March -it suppresses his whole immune system and his oncologist advised for everyone in his household to be extra cautious due to the respiratory effects of COVID, especially to those who are already at risk. Kids at that age do not understand social distancing so we kept my brother home as per the doctors advice. Safari Kid claims to be a pillar in the community for helping families… imagine withholding funds for services NOT rendered from a cancer patient who no longer requires the services. They have been offering to provide summer camp and after school services in lieu of a refund but my father would rather spend his remaining time on earth with his child now that he is capable to do so. How’s that hard to understand? Cancer patients have a ticking time clock and should not have to spend their last days on this earth fighting over mundane issues. This is the receipt/contract that was provided to my dad (he does not speak English and due to his medical conditions, I am his POA) - I have requested a copy of the official contract from them for over 3 weeks now and have yet to receive a response. Unprofessional and disturbing to take advantage of an unfortunate situation, I would never let them near my kids.

**UPDATE: After my Google review caught the attention of over 100 views within a few days, the company asked one of their teachers from that location to contact my father to settle. A little background, I had spoken to this same lady last summer and she was seemingly trying to resolve the issue with my father. Trying to preserve some of his independence, he asked me to let him finish up as they are close to a resolution - only for me to find out now a year later that they are still giving him the run around. I asked for a copy of the contract and she basically said that the registration form is the contract. After insisting that I be provided with a copy, she told me that she had filled out everything on my dad’s behalf because he could not understand English. Well that all adds up now because the terms were not explained to him properly and I, his power of attorney, was not present to read this “contract” over. Had there been an unbiased third party translating or had she asked him to take the form for someone else to review, I would have no objection but the issue lies within the clear conflict of interest that has now arose from her vaguely translating only what she deemed important. She indicated to me that the charges were $55 per day and the registration fee of $150 and some material fees. After calculating it together, I stated that it would be fair to return $1800 to us and to be honest after all their negligence and unprofessionalism, we are not going to settle for anything less. She called me the following evening and told me that the company would like me to leave my warm and cozy home to discuss the terms in which they will only return the deposit of $1000 as per “the contract”. LOL sorry, maybe I was a little petty for hanging up the phone on her but when she called back, I told her to tell HQ to hold their position because I’m holding mine. They responded to my Google review and are now saying I’m using my father’s health as a way to breach a contract… Good job Safari Kid, great way to avoid accountability and show your potential clients what poor morales your company embodies. Quality? Low. Research-Rich? Your PR did not research the elements of a legally binding contract. Progressive? Not in the field of childcare.

My daughter attended safari kids for about 2 years when she turned 2 and we saw a huge improvements with her social and motor skills during her time here. They staff always gave us daily updates and we felt like she was in the best hands during her time at Safari kids, the supervisor at this location Ammy would always send photos of my daughter to me/ art updates/meal updates etc daily! We felt like we were being well informed with all the activities and progress throughout the day. I would definitely recommend

British Swim School at LA Fitness - Ballantyne

We loved having our twins learn to swim here…they were extremely accommodating and we highly recommend them to families who need more flexibility when it comes to swim lessons

The scheduling availability was great, with an opportunity to make up time if you communicate in a timely manner. The app makes it easy and is useful in most situations. Most locations are not suitable for adult-sized people wanting to learn to tread water, but outside of that the pools were fine.

As an instructor, this is a great place to work, the whole staff is professional and the owner James does a great job providing solid customer service! Every kid is treated with care and assisted in every way to help make them a strong and independent swimmer!

We have had an excellent experience with British Swim School. We quickly saw improvement in our children and the staff has been fantastic. Great communication, friendly and personable staff. Would highly recommend!

Rock University

Our son has taken private lessons and also done the band camp & both have been wonderful! I can't say enough wonderful things about this program. Everyone has been so great to our son & he absolutely loves attending!!!

My son has been at Rock U for close to 4 years and I can’t say enough good things.  Prior to Rock U, my son was taking lessons elsewhere and although he was progressing, things were getting stale.  Rock U offered the opportunity to play with other kids in a welcoming environment and he’s never looked back.  He’s very active at Rock U with guitar lessons, drum lessons and also does performance band.  He’s made great friends and has thrived in that environment.  In addition to the great work Kevin and Karen do with the school, Music 49 is in the same building and have a great selection of guitars, amps, etc.  Their prices are competitive and the service is outstanding.  Highly recommend both!

Our son started four years ago with a Groupon and hasn't missed a month since. He takes both private lessons and performance band. He continues to improve and loves getting to play the same stages as touring artists do. He is also learning songwriting and recording skills. The owners and staff were also instrumental in helping him get accepted into the School of the Arts.

We have watched a large number of kids go through the Rock University program over the years and grow into excellent musicians and great people. Karen and Kevin Corzine spend countless hours providing these kids with opportunities to learn, perform, and connect throughout the Charlotte music community. They hire the best instructors and tirelessly give of themselves to make kids lives better. Do your kid a favor and enroll them and watch them grow into what they dream they can be.

We have loved being a part of the Rock U family for the past two years. Our son takes drum lessons with the incredible Tim Jones and loves performing with the other students at venues around Concord and Charlotte. This it truly a special place, run by special people.

Seneca Rocks Climbing School

I had one of the best outdoor experiences of my life out there with Shawn as our guide.
Me and my girlfriend’s mutual friend suggested that we book a climb at this place, and I, having had exactly 0 experience climbing outdoors agreed, thinking we’re gonna be doing single pitch sport climbing with a guide! It turned out to be multi-pitch trad. I can say confidently that it was the most exciting and fun outdoor adventure that I’ve ever had. Aside from MAYBE skydiving, nothing comes even close.
The scenery was breathtaking. Our guide, Shawn, was very knowledgeable about climbing and outdoors in general. The routes that he chose for us was great for our skill level. He was also very thorough in explaining some of the techniques he used to guide us through the experience.

10/10 would recommend, 10/10 will come back.

Fantastic day of rock climbing with Seneca Rocks Climbing School!  Instructor Daniel was great and really knew his stuff, was fun, and led us through a few different pitch options to the summit.  We always felt safe and learned much about solid climbing techniques as well. My son and I had a blast and would highly recommend you give them a try.

I just had an excellent day of climbing with Seneca Rocks Climbing School. The guides and staff at the shop were excellent; they were informative, and knowledgeable. The climbing was really great -- there are a ton of different routes for all skill levels. The 360 view from the summit was really awesome and a great pinnacle for the day. I'd recommend the climbing school to others and will climb with them again in the future.

If you've never went rock climbing before but want to, this is the place to go!! Dave and Pat were our guides. They did a great job of being friendly and helpful to a bunch of newbies!

We had an amazing experience with our guide, Garry Blevins, at Seneca Rocks Climbing School! My wife and I did the two-day Gym to Crag course. We went into the course with gym and mostly bouldering experience and left feeling confident in seconding multi-pitch climbs. Gary was extremely informative and patient with us, he happily fielded all our newbie questions and built a relationship with us. He made us feel safe throughout the whole experience while instilling confidence. I would highly recommend Seneca Rocks Climbing School, and Gary to anyone interested in elevating your climbing knowledge! We will definitely back for the more advanced courses!
