Eagan Montessori Academy & Child Care North

I absolutely love Eagan Montessori North! My boys started in the toddler room then advanced to the Preschool/ Pre K room. Ms. Pang, Ms. Mandy and Ms. Molly work so well with my boys and their different personalities. They always make it a point to update me on their day, what went well, what they struggled with and my boys love them! Often times at pick up the boys will run to hug their teachers before we leave and as a mom that's so comforting to see!  Also- Janet in the office is amazing! Any questions or concerns she's got you covered! Quick responses and willing to work with you. Awesome staff!

Finding a Montessori daycare/school option for our daughter has always been a must. This place has been absolutely amazing for our daughter! They embrace her and her curiosity so well, and encourage so much independence on her part. My daughter does so many things that just aren't usually expected of children her age, and socializes and communicates to that same extent because her growth has been continuously fostered by Eagan Montessori north! I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of bringing their child/ren!

Our family LOVES Eagan Montessori North! Our child thrives here. We switched to this daycare and have never looked back. Our child is well cared for, encouraged, and challenged to learn - even at a young age. We really like the teachers - our current lead teacher, Ms. Pang, is truly amazing! I recommend Eagan Montessori to anyone looking for a high quality daycare/school in this area. The teachers and staff balance learning and fun so well. My son LOVED going to school here. My son started in their toddler room and grew into their preschool rooms; my daughter was in their infant room before we relocated. I've had positive experiences with many teachers (Ms. Kirsten, Ms. Shirley, Mr. Derek) and felt like I could talk to Ms. Ruchika about anything. Any concerns I had were addressed immediately. My children miss going to this school.

Both of our girls attended Eagan Montessori and had a fantastic experience! The teachers and staff provide just the right balance of love and education. Therefore, our girls developed a love for learning and were well prepared for Kindergarten. They also made some great friends! We are excited for both girls to finally be in Elementary school this fall, but we will all be missing our Eagan Montessori. It's such a special place with many special memories for our family :)

Tierra Encantada - Bryant

We are so thrilled with the experience we’ve had at Tierra Encantada Bryant! The entire staff will always greet you with a smile and the teachers and aides go out of their way to make the experience fun and engaging for your child. Our son is in one of the infant rooms and it is incredible to see how excited he gets everyday when I drop him off. We love this place!

Tierra Encantada is a wonderful community. The cultural and language education is amazing. My 3 year old knows all her letters, colors and shapes in Spanish and in English. They have fun field trips and enrichment activities all the time. Love abounds here. I can see and feel the connection my daughter has with her teachers.

Intially attracted to Tierra Ecantada Bryant, because of it's location and the good Google reviews. After touring most of the daycares in the area, we picked it because the staff seemed vibrant and friendly and the facilties were cheery and clean.

A reluctant daycare parent... We have been rewarded immensely for our choice. I am appreciative every day Tierra Encantanda is in our life.

Two moments that especially resonant is when the staff was able to determine our child's unusual mood was because he
was constipated after a weekend break, because they remembered that he hadn't pooped on Thurs/Fri. Recently when our child was having nap issues at daycare, the center director met with us and we developed a contigency plan. Then she brainstormed with the care staff and they shifted the cribs around so he could get a little more darkness. For now at least the naps are better.

No one or place is perfect, but I am very impressed with the staff.

I have two children at Tierra Encantada - one in the infant room and one in the Intermediate Preschool, and my oldest has been with Tierra since early 2017. We've been very happy with our experiences there. Both of my children happily greet their teachers in the morning, and I always feel that they have been well cared for. My oldest potty trained because his teachers took the initiative to help him with it, which I really appreciated. We also love the nutritious breakfasts and lunches, and that our children are being exposed to a new language and other cultures. My oldest has also made great friends through the program.  Whatever small concerns I've had during our time there have been promptly addressed and corrected by the staff. I have recommended this daycare to many friends, who also now send their children there. I certainly encourage those looking to tour here. My spouse and I feel very lucky to have Tierra and its wonderful staff in our and our children's lives.

Our daughter transitioned from a corporate (yet loving and clean) daycare to Tierra Encantada when she was 16mos old without having any Spanish language in her life and just 5 months later she comprehends and speaks Spanish as well as she does English. It's amazing! She hugs her teachers every evening before she leaves, the food is great, they make crafts daily. We are very happy with the tender care and education that our active toddler receives.

STL Rock School

My son LOVED St. Louis School of Rock on Baur Blvd. He thought the instructors "were great" and the girls at the front desk were "really nice".
I thought the pricing was reasonable, and the business owner, Jared, very professional and personable. My son was offered a marvelous opportunity to counsel at a church camp. Since the opportunity was offered to my son, he unfortunately had to miss a week of the StL Rock School camp. Jared graciously allowed a discount for the week my son was going to be missing.

Having said that, the street is in desperate need of repair though. St. Louis County division of Streets & Maintenance said the street is privately owned by all the building owners on Baur. :(

We did a summer camp there, and our kid was hooked. The staff are patient and kind, and have helped spark a music interest in our kid, so we're now in music lessons weekly. It also helps that it's a cool place! Highly recommend.

This camp has a fantastic program with amazing staff. Our son learned so much and we are going to continue lessons. If you have a musically inclined child I can’t recommend this camp or it’s staff enough. Especially Trish, Devin, Taylor , Dean and Keith.

The place itself is great and my son loves it here however they don’t do very well with communication. We went to the initial trial lesson and it went great. We decided to give Kidzrock a go to give our son more options with other instruments and it took weeks to get a response about signing him up. Finally, we got in to try the class out. That class also went great and the instructor was awesome. After that class, we gave them our contact information and told them we would love to come every Saturday. They never contacted us to sign up. My sons dad and I have both called multiple times to get him signed up for every Saturday and they don’t answer or call back. My son keeps asking about it so I suppose we’ll try School of Rock.

My son Ari LOVED STL Rock School!!!  He made great friends, had great teachers, had fun, and improved his guitar (and drum) playing tremendously.

Attended school here...education was mediocre, but sufficed...warm atmosphere...friendly staff and students...could have a lol more challenging curriculum tho...

School of Rock

Mark is an amazing drum instructor. He makes learning fun! We are so lucky he has chosen to share his talent with young musicians. Our son loves him!

My daughter loves working with Chan. He is very professional & patient. She is just starting out & he is so great with her. I would recommend School of Rock to any child wanting to learn an instrument or vocals.

My daughter loves the summer camp! The instructors let the campers collaborate and be creative - from naming their own bands to writing their own songs - this camp is everything a young musician could want. Music is meant to be fun and inspire and create connections - you get that all at School of Rock.

Great staff who are attentive to students and their needs. The adult program is changing and not a fun jam session anymore, and they want you to play the songs they chose for $250 a month. I feel they should be more upfront about this when you sign up.

My kids love School of Rock...my daughter takes Vocal lessons, my son takes guitar lessons, and they both do the performance group. They have learned so much great music, and their confidence has grown so much. They have fun and feel very supported and encouraged by their teachers!

Tierra Encantada - Hiawatha

We've been taking our two and a half year old daughter to Tierra Encantada since she was three months old and have loved it. Its an excellent fit for our family. They made a stressful transition easy for us and its been clear that not only do they care for her and want her to succeed but she loves being there. The staff beyond just her classroom teachers greet her by name and with enthusiasm. On top of that her skills and mental development would not be at the level they are without their thoughtful lesson plans and support. We've especially loved being able to have Maritza as her teacher in both the infant and toddler rooms. It's clear to us that she's invested in the success of the center and individual kids. Would highly recommend the Hiawatha center!

I love Tierra!!  My baby is so excited to go there each day and the teachers are equally excited to see her. Seeing her growth and how much she is developing gives me tremendous confidence in the programming at Tierra and how capable the teachers are. I am also slowly learning a little Spanish myself and I enjoy that connection. I cannot give them enough credit and wish I could give them more han 5 stars!!

Very grateful to all of the staff and admin at Tierra Encantada-Hiawatha. Both of our kiddos are in the daycare, and we can see how well they are supported, cared for, and enjoying the community  that is provided. We have a strong connection to all of the staff in our kids' rooms, and they are always open to chatting, catching up, and checking in. This is vital. As well, we can see how the staff supports development socially and with early academics.

Knowing how important it is for all of our children to have a nurturing and positive environment, we're thankful to be in community with the folks at the Hiawatha site.

We have been going to Tierra for over 3 years now. Both our children have flourished there. The teachers are so amazing and devoted. Ms. Amada in Pre-D has helped our daughter progress so much with her writing skills as well as her basic fluency in Spanish. We recommend Tierra to anyone we know! I have seen reviews regarding the treatment of children of color and I have to say that has not been our experience at all. Our children have been well supported throughout our entire experience and we feel that any concerns we have brought forward have been taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Our daughter Gwen has been attending TE since fall 2020 and freya joined her in fall 2022. They treat our girls like family and we are impressed how quick they pick up Spanish. We especially are impressed with how much Gwen is learning in pre-k D and highly recommend this classroom. Freya loves her teachers in toddler E. We will be sad when it is time for our girls to move to kindergarten over the next few years.

Tierra Encantada Corporate Headquarters

I will say we have had mixed feelings about our experience here. My daughter loves her vocal teacher but sometimes she has a different teacher and that was not great. She would get nothing out of her lesson then. Lessons are expensive we cancled a couple of lesson to go out of town and couldn't find a time to reschedule that matched with her teacher, very limited time slots. We were then told the lessons are expired? So we just paid for what exactly?

"SoR is my therapy. The people there are amazing and I can be me without being scared or worry about being judged." - My 12 year old.

Our kiddo's self-esteem and creativity has soared since joining School of Rock. Because of the skills and bravery she picked up at SoR, she was able to perform at her first open-mic outside of the school and her band. The staff are receptive and communicate well and I fully trust that they care very much about the kids they work with. We are grateful that our kid has them for role models, and we're sticking around as long as she asks us to.

School of Rock is a wonderful place for lessons. The instructors are wonderful and my daughter LOVES going.

My kids love School of Rock, so we do, too. The teachers are all wonderful, funny, and talented. The best part: when our kids come home from lessons, they immediately go to our piano or keyboard to play music they just learned.

The instructors and the staff are awesome. They work on songs the students want to learn. The performance aspect of playing in a band is a great experience and gives them confidence in standing up in front of a crowd.

Tierra Encantada - Seward

Our son has been going to Tierra Encantada Seward since he was 5 months old, he has since transitioned from an infant classroom to a toddler classroom. We have had a very positive experience at TE Seward, and here are some reasons why we would recommend them:

-It seems like all the teachers know who our son is, even the ones that are not his primary teachers. The staff here are very loving and do an amazing job taking care of so many kids at a time.
-Great communication with teachers and the center director
-Drop off/Pick up hours are some of the most accommodating we encountered when searching for a daycare
-Meals are provided!
-The classrooms are very clean.
-Our son's days are well structured and full of learning, it's been wonderful to see how much he has grown in his time there

Tierra Encantada-Seward one of the last day care centers we looked at but immediately noticed and felt a difference from all the other establishments we had visited. All of the kids were well behaved, the facility was clean, and the teachers were engaged and in every classroom. Over the past 15 months, we've been extremely happy with the care and attentiveness of the teachers and staff. Tierra Encantada-Seward is a wonderful day care center, and we couldn't be happier.

We’ve been so thrilled and impressed by Tierra Encantada Seward. The teachers are so wonderful and caring. Every teacher seems so invested in the children and know them.  My child has learned so much and always loves going to see her friends and teachers. The facility is exceptionally clean and well kept. The meals are nutritious and diverse. The playground is large. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood as well.

We’ve had a fantastic experience here with our two boys, ages 3 and 1. Our 3-year-old started in late 2021 when he was 15 months, and we felt good about the communication and safety precautions in place at the time.

Our one-year-old started when he was 4 months old, and we have been consistently impressed with the infant program. Our son was also born with a heart condition, and needed medicine administered 1-2 times a day the first few months that he went to daycare. They did an excellent job and really made us feel more at ease.

In spite of teachers changing more than would seem ideal, the staff are all friendly, warm and professional.

Our kids go part-time, and I feel grateful for that as a schedule possibility, as full-time doesn’t work for us financially right now.

One final note is that the families here are wonderful. Everyone is kind and considerate - it’s a really nice community, even for the brief moments of drop-off and pick-up.

Tierra Encantada has been one of the best choices I have made. Having my daughter there since being a toddler & now being able to be in preschool but soon to be in pre-k has been the best. This Sewards location has the best teachers and they have the best way when it comes to receiving and welcoming the kids and family’s.
The way they are able to have a good curriculum impresses me. The food they also provide is 100% organic and I’m glad to have my daughter eating healthy food. They also have very loving teachers that support my child. She loves her teacher and is able to able to be in a safe environment in her classroom or around the center. The center is also very clean making it very suitable to know that your child is able to be in a clean environment. And with that I would definitely recommend this Seward’s location.

Dodge Nature Preschool

I have a very active and curious kid, and I wanted to find a school that would really embrace that. Also, I am a former preschool teacher, and I am really picky when it comes to finding quality early childhood programs. My son just finished his first year here, and it has been such a great child-focused preschool experience. Everyday is a new adventure—hikes, visiting the farm, watching bees make honey (and then having tea with THAT honey), making maple syrup (and then eating pancakes with THAT syrup), and just learning about nature. The teachers follow the students’ interests. We will absolutely be back.

I have a child who is energetic and loves nature and Dodge has helped him develop his motor skills , social skills and has developed his love for nature into skills.

The preschool is amazing! I wish I could go here. I don't have a bad word to say. It's really helped my daughter become an outdoor explorer, ready for the next adventure. And the teachers are wonderful and loving. You can tell how much they love their jobs.

My daughter just finished a full year at Dodge. She went to the Summer program and stayed on for the school year. She and I are both so sad to be moving on. I wished I would have known about this place with my other kids. It is so amazing! The staff is well trained and you can truly tell they love what they do. The outdoor based education is an experience that opens their little world to so many things. If you are looking into a preschool, this is the place. Thanks Dodge for an amazing year.

This preschool is amazing. My only complaint is that it’s half day because my daughter would love to go full day!  The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, and patient. What better way to learn than out in nature?!  I wish there was a kindergarten here as well. I cannot speak highly enough about this school. We love it and wish we had more time here.
