Fullmer's Ace Hardware

Despite the friendly staff, I noticed a minor issue that prevented me from giving a perfect 5-star rating. During my visits, I didn't receive assistance in finding the specific product I had asked for, other than providing the isle. However, I still believe that the staff's friendliness deserves recognition, and I'm overall satisfied with my experience, hence the 4-star rating.

What a fabulous store, I was in a real bind, and manager Bryson and his staff just went way beyond the call of duty. Each employee nicer than the next. Gunnison you are so fortunate to have these folks. Thank you. James

Little over priced. Sad you have to pay $8 for a can of spray paint? Same can is across town at Walmart for under $5. Wish they would bring back the rental business. Now we want to rent a floor sander, gotta go to Montrose. New owner is milking this town for all he can. Great friendly staff. Prices are just too high all over the store imo. Update: 9/10/21, today a needed a tube of g/e silicone.... $9.99? Rediculous! I buy hundreds of tubes a year, from Walmart to Home Depot to Ace, not any more. It's $5 overpriced. That's $1000 a year it costs more to buy here. Insane! See the pics.  I included a Walmart pic of same product, same day. Rodent Stopper in the spray can? $15.99, it's $9.99 at tractor supply.

I could write raving reviews about this place after every single visit but that would use up all of Google's remaining memory capacity.  The folks at Fullmers are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and not one bit condescending (even with the most stupid questions).  Need paint? Bring in a chip the size of thumbnail and they can match it.  Online order? Ready for pickup IMMEDIATELY.  These folks will help you before you know you need help.  It's service that's inspiring to see in this day and age.

Always shop at this Ace Hardware store when you are in Gunnison. You will always be satisfied with the customer service and the selection. Avoid Walmart in Gunnison and just go here because they have it and Walmart does not. I have never been disappointed going to this Ace Hardware Store.

Nice clean organized local hardware store that carries basically everything you need in a pinch. You'll pay a bit more but that's worth it for the convenience it provides me. The knowledgeable and friendly staff is definitely worth the trip.

Pricy, and I just moved from California,  but service, workers are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Most definitely a must, to come, for the hidden gem!

Always on point and quick to help you but also give you space . Easy shopping and easy ordering process.  Just all around better that a home depot or lowes haha.

I needed a special gardening fertilizer and Ace Hardware carried what I needed. I visited the store in Searcy and they didn't have any. Also the employee stated that there wasn't any at their warehouse. He looked at the inventory of the other Ace stores and showed 3 packages at FL Davis  Ace Hardware. He called to have 2 reserved for me to pickup the next morning. I went to the store and got the fertilizer that I needed. Thanks to all involved. Tim

Schuler Shoes: Woodbury

Ellen was so wonderful in helping me find a pair of shoes to help me get through pregnancy comfortably! Very patient with my needs and was super low pressure, which I really appreciated!  Schuler has a great selection of shoes!

Great customer service and choices of shoes for even my extra wide high arched feet.  Staff even suggested how to get a sale shoe that I was trying from another store in my perfect size.  Text the next day when it came in!  Kids shoes, clearance room, dress shoes, active shoes and sandals.  Quality is great!

I want to give my greatest compliments to Linda for helping me find the perfect black wedge Dansko sandal on July 3rd. There was a big sale going on, yet she was kind even though I had smelly feet and wasn't planning on shoe shopping that day. I was desperate and had an event where I needed dressy sandals that I could speedwalk miles in without sacrificing style. I am beyond thankful for you, Linda!

The store itself is nice, lots of high quality shoes to choose from. Some of the staff are borderline unprofessional. The person who helped me seemed very annoyed as they tossed the boxes of shoes around and then doubted me when I asked for a larger pair of shoes since I have 'extremely wide feet'.

Great shoes for my bunions! However, the associates at this location seem to avoid greeting me each time I’ve stopped by. It’s hard not to notice all of the other customers being acknowledged while the staff walks right by me. The only time I am spoken to is when I happen to be with my partner who is Caucasian. Please be more inclusive and at least say hello to all of your guests!

Cleary's Shoes & Boots

Edited: McClearys is still my favorite shoe store. Andrew spent an hour helping my husband and myself get orthotic  type shoes for our son’s wedding. He picked out what would work with our physical and fashion needs. My husband tried six pairs. I tried four. After checking us out we spent time in the sales department and we found some great shoes for people with orthotic problems half off. Some shoes we tried weren’t on the floor but he knew his stock and knew what we needed so he went back to the storage room to get them. So patient kind and informed. He even did quick orthotic adjustments for my husbands new
Shoes. Amazing place. Great selection of shoes. They also offer advice to those with feet problems. I have heel spurs and Andrew makes customized orthotics that were recommended by an orthopedic surgeon. I made an appointment with Andrew. He placed my foot into a mold. The mold will be used to make the cushioned orthotic. An appointment must be made. It didn’t take long. He was very efficient, thorough, kind, and reviewed a large selection of possible shoes for my problem, but wouldn’t sell the shoe until we know if the orthotic fixes the problem. He doesn’t just try to sell a shoe but will try to fit the shoe to the individual.

I just bought a very nice pair of Thorogood work boots from Cleary's and it won't be the last. I'm excited about my purchase and happy that Sandra helped me. She's very nice and helpful. This is a nice store with a good selection.

I was looking for a pair of Birkenstocks for my son, which are literally sold out everywhere online. I found one pair left on the cleary website and they shipped to me super fast. Their customer service responded immediately when I emailed a question. Glad to support a family owned business! Great communication and fast shipping.

I have a pair of black Taos sandals and saw them in honey color on Amazon. Cleary's price was much better, they shipped quickly, free shipping for orders over $50, and arrived carefully packaged in perfect condition. Thank you, Cleary's!

O'Donnell Ace Hardware

I needed something I didn't really understand and they immediately got me to the right aisle and a person to help me find exactly the right item.

I bought something online recently. I forgot that I even ordered it. After 2 weeks I called the local store, O'Donnell in Clinton, Iowa. They were so nice. I got my garden hose finally..lol

This is the only hardware store I go to . I like that I can walk in and there is always a hand full of friendly faces to greet me and know exactly what I am looking for when I ask.

These guys did our custom bandanas for our wedding favors. We had a friend come up with a design with our date and Ideal Advertising printed it out for us. They had fair pricing and were willing to come up with a lot of options for us on material and placement of our logo. Super easy to work with, good quality, and fast results!

I was contacted about a graphic design job position which turned out to be a scam to get me to transfer money into bitcoin funds. I am extremely appalled at this companies poor judgement and way of running business. I never received any confirmation emails about joining the team and my money was stolen from another job I already work. My time was wasted and I was scammed. Please don't trust this company.

Called about a specific item (USB Flash Drive) and the man that answered the call was friendly, courteous and well informed on what I was looking for.  He gave me options over the phone for other sizes/prices.
Ace Hardware saved us a trip to Springfield and/a visit to the internet for this item.
It's refreshing to know that even though computer storage devices/hardware aren't necessarily what most people go there to purchase; they give us the convenience of carrying it for the ones that do.  I'll be calling them first for anything else I need in the future!

St. Croix Shoes

I gotta tell you about this fantastic experience I had at St. Croix shoes. I strolled in, hoping to grab a pair of those Birkenstock sandals my better half had been eyeing. I figured it would be a quick in-and-out trip. Boy, was I wrong! I was totally floored by the incredible variety of options they had in store.

But here's the best part - the customer service was off the charts! The moment I started to feel overwhelmed, their stellar team came to my rescue. They guided me through the selection process with such expertise and somehow made it fun.

Well, I picked up the perfect pair for my spouse and they absolutely love them! In fact, they were such a hit that I'm thinking of heading back to St. Croix to pick up a pair for myself.

So, if you're ever in need of some top-notch footwear and an unforgettable shopping experience, you know where to go!

It is hard to come by quality customer service AND product these days. St. Croix shoes offers both...always! As a physical therapist I am always a big supportive of quality, supportive shoes. They are my go to shoe store in town for myself, my family and referral for my patients.

A great little shoe store, with a surprising selection. My fav is that Keens and Birkenstocks are available in kids, and at good prices! Atmosphere is warm, neat and organized. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Returns/exchanges are easy.

I had a great experience here. Ordered some chacos for my brother but they were too small. The owner switched them out for me free of charge and was very kind of the phone. This is small business at its best.

You can tell they take pride in what they do and offer excellent products. Don’t shop online. Come here instead.

Walmart Supercenter

Music greeted me outside on a crisp fall morning. Displays outside were well maintained.  Parking lot was clean. Entrance was neat.  Racks, full. Bathrooms very clean. Nice store.

Quick stop on t he way to Minneapolis.  Well laid out store. Able to quickly locate what we needed and head back to the highway.  Friendly staff at self checkout.

I went here for some specific foods that I couldn't find elsewhere. I was able to get all but one item on my list. Their grocery area is HUMONGOUS!! Loved the meats & cheese selections; most produce looked nice.

I'm not a regular Walmart shopper. I was happy to see/use their self checkout! The staff who helped me locate some items were pleasant and knowledgeable. I came away with a good impression and I'll go back to shop again.

Make sure to call ahead for customer service!!! I arrived first time at 12:50pm, looked for management cause sign says management can do the money orders, management told me it’ll be 40min till she gets back…. Left and came back… it’s1:40 and still no person!!! Over an hour! Disappointment!!!

I hate how unprofessional they are.  My daughter was stopped, asked to empty her bag and the worker made her add a second bag of cat food to her bill and she was so flustered and humiliated that she never noticed until she got home.  She called to speak to them at customer service and they were rude as well.  We stopped shopping and giving our support to this Walmart.  Very unprofessional service.
