Hawaii Poke Bowl

This is not my first time at Hawaii Poke. I love the selection of premium ingredients and choose your own factor.

Today's review is on the taiyaki (fish-shaped, pastry  dessert). I wanted to highlight this unique dessert as it may be unknown (yet to be discovered to most.) Taiyaki is traditionally flavored with a red bean paste that's slightly sweet wrapped in a crunchy pancake-like batter in the shape of a fish.

I love the taste and texture of taiyaki. So it was not hard choice whether or not to get one. The red bean paste was smooth and velvety. Right on par. The batter could have been slightly crisper. Perhaps the batter could have been left a little longer to achieve a better crunch to my liking.

Overall, it is definitely worth trying and a delightful snacking experience.

Refreshing, filling portions and clean place. The casual spot is a nice pick me up for a healthy lunch. Everything tasted fresh in my rainbow bowl, overall great Poke!

I didn't have time to break for lunch today so when my friend offered to pick something up, I let him make the choice. And, oh boy what a choice. First off, I do love poke. Fresh, tasty, plenty yummy!

Today's bowl of salmon was perfect. Tons of different textures with crunch, julienned cucumber, firm edamame, soft rice and lots and lots of salmon. No question, a filling and satisfying meal.

So happy to get West Coast level quality and attention to a beloved seafood dish! Very reasonably priced for the high quality and flavor.  Wonderful ambiance and just steps to the lake.

Really enjoy this place. The style of food is right up my alley. I keep thinking I'll make my own mix but I always grab one of the menu options as I always realize what I was craving was up there. At this point I've tried them all.

Service has always been excellent, food has always been high quality, place is always clean. I only went 4 stars on atmosphere because it's just a bit too empty space for my tastes, but it's still a positive aspect.

Pizza Hut

The food and service was spot on. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly and attentive. The reason for the review is having 4 ⭐ . I feel they could use a bit of an update.

I'll give it a C-. It's just not that good. The ranch doesn't taste like ranch and the tomato sauce for the pizza is too sweet. God forbid they have more than 3 pizzas out for the buffet.

Reason why I gave it three stars is because in the past when I have ordered anything from Pizza Hut and went to get my order the woman or should I say the manager was rudely talking to one of the employees in front of me. And I used to work at Pizza Hut a long time ago and all I can say is I'm glad I was not working there that day because I would told that woman off and probably ended up getting myself fired. The last time I went there was just recently I didn't see the woman there but the service was a lot better and so were the employees. If it wasn't for the fact of the rude obnoxious boss I would have giving it a five star.

Very nice atmosphere.. fresh salad bar and great pizza.. the people are very friendly.. definitely recommend this place.

I purchased Philly steak melt 7/25/2023
,picked up 945 pm,,got home found hair all though it,,,called store asked for refund ,was told couldn't do anything till tomorrow because closed for 7 minutes,, return next day  ,and told by manager ,refusing to give her name,,that I could not get a refund even if hair was in it ,though entire melt still whole with hair cooked through it,was presented,,and then she threatened to call cops for simply wanting refund, and threatening to ban a lifelong customer who doesn't want to be fed hair and treated with such careless attitude,,! Shameless and disrespect to the very customers that keep you employed!

There's gas station to get gas. Shell gas stations are known for gas so if you want to put gas and expect to pay the price for it here is where you go to know what you're getting

McDonald's

I was the only one in the drive through and it took the store 10 minutes for them to take my order and get me my order. The order was only 2 sweet teas. And the people working there are not professional. When I asked what took so long the lady at the window replied she was the only one there. Does she think I’m blind? I counted 4 workers behind counter.

Food was fine, A McDonald's normal meal.
It was veteran's day and they said they did not have any discounts for veterans. But she thanked me for my service.  Lol
Guess a small town needed the full value.

Ordered 1 hash brown 2 biscuits and gravy my hash brown was pretty much cold floppy like it had been sitting for 3 hours at least mind you this was 6:30 this morning I took 2 bites now I'm throwing up at 9:30 possible food poisoning....just got told by the clinton Mcdonald nurse? That there is something wrong with my stomach it couldn't be the food never even saw the person also went to my doctor for all this documentation

Bus was on time.  I never actually ordered anything from them. But this McDonald's also serves as a pick-up/drop-off location for Greyhound bus lines and i dropped my brother off here and the bus driver was incredibly helpful and friendly as my brother is blind.  Cheers to Greyhound and thanks for McDonald's partnership with Greyhound which make it very convenient to travel anywhere in the United States/ mexico or Canada by boarding the bus right here in small town Clinton Arkansas.

This was my 2nd experience stopping at this McDonald's while traveling, and I won't make the mistake again. We waited 25 minutes for 3 meals inside the restaurant with 1 person in front of us, who left with their food after 5 minutes or so. I asked after 15 and then 20 minutes why it was taking so long? ... They had to make fries. What???? At least 30 cars went through the drive-thru line.... Pretty sure they got fries my friends. We ended up asking for our money back and leaving after asking a third time at 25 minutes. Ridiculous.

Carbone's Pizzeria - Minneapolis

My family and I had just spent the day out and about and the kids were squawking like birds needing to eat.  So on the way home we seen this place and figured we'd have some pizza 🍕.

We were seated and our server came over quickly. We have our order, it did take a little long to get a 14inch thin crust pepperoni pizza. So while we waited our server (Meghan) brought us some sodas and water. When our pizza did come Meghan stated that the pizza edges were a bit "overdone" aka burnt. But she was kind enough to offer to make us another pizza. Honestly, it was no big deal and it was delicious. But I did appreciate the offer.

Meghan was a very kind and helpful person. I appreciated her service.

The place was nice and clean. I will be back again when I'm in the area. Thank you guys.

We had some issues, but the owner Jessica personally came outside (caught us as we were leaving) to try to rectify the situation and apologize for our experience. I was quite surprised that she came out so quickly (Thank you). I have a lot of respect for people, particularly owners, who are willing to step in and find out details and address them. Their wings are REALLY good (wing fanatic here) and I was able to experience some live music. I would have loved to stay the night and enjoy the festivities; perhaps another time.

The large pizza for takeout was hot and yummy, but for the cost of $24 I thought it was closer to a medium sized Pizza. This was my first visit, and I'm inspired to return again. Might actually dine in the next time, as I saw the environment was welcoming, and they had a lovely fireplace. The staff was friendly, and prompt. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

This is a fantastic little spot. The meatball sub was well made. It comes with a side of warm marinara so you can control how much you get. The chili was top notch and the pizza had a great thin crust. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Great place to stop for lunch.

Great pizza! Carbones is probably one of my favorite pizza places. I usually get their thin slice but decided to buy my staff the deep dish pizza which was amazing! Super delicious! I would definitely return! The shakes were delicious as well! I ordered the Oreo shake.

Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza

My wife, daughter and I stopped in to get dinner for ourselves and my father-in-law.  We LOVE the pizza here!!! It's delicious!!! Always the freshest ingredients always a kind and wonderful staff.  My father in-law loves a supreme type pizza but since my mother-in-law passed away his appetite hasn't been the same so he doesn't eat as much.  Because of this we get him the Mini Murphy.  For a little extra they will give you all the toppings you need for a supreme.  For people who are single, elderly, or dieting this is a wonderful option.  Mini Murphy's don't just have to be for kids.  Plus you even get the temporary tattoos in the box.  I still haven't gotten my father-in-law to put on one yet but I'm trying.  Lol.  Thanks again though to everyone at Papa Murphy's for all they do and for the delicious food!!!!

Have eaten several pizza's from Murphy's. They all have been uncooked. jk.

They are an acquired taste meaning some ppl love them whiles other not so much. I think the crust is too chalky from the type of flour they use and the dough though cooked in oven at home tastes undercooked. Does not have a buttery taste like from the big 4 take-out places.

again it's something one either likes or doesn't likes. The one thing the biz could improve upon is sending the pie home in a box instead of in a plastic wrap as I have never been able to get it home, yes I still get them due to others in family likening them, without the toppings all sliding to one side. If it was boxed, maybe better care could be taken and keeping it from tipping.

Papa Murphy's is a great place where you order take and bake pizza. You order the pizza and watch them make it, and pay. Once you get home, you put it in the oven for a fresh pizza. I love their cheese pizza wheel appetizer.

I ordered online with 12pm pick up time. I have done this in the past and they were in the cooler ready to go when I got there. NOT THIS TIME!  I couldn't get there at 12, but around 2. When I picked them up  they were sitting out on a rack at room temperature  for over 2 hours. I can't believe  people in food service could be so ignorant.

Wrecktangle Pizza

The food was so good & honestly the leftovers were as delicious as it coming out of the kitchen! Root beer was tasty. This is the kind of place I'd love to have dinner with my friends before a night out.  I was on vacation with my 2 teens & they enjoyed it as well.

Delicious! Me and my wife started with delicious cocktails. She had the spicy Mezcalita and i had the Old Fashioned. Loved the curry bitters! And then we shared a Shredder pizza. Just right amount of a little heat balanced with the honey…super tasty! We’ll be back again.

Sooooo delicious.  Waiters were very kind and positive. The pizza I could eat for days. I had to MN sushi and that was nice and light and helped me from digesting myself because I was so hungry.

We were a group of 6. We ordered the Caesar salad and garlic cheese sticks to start- both were great, the salad creamy and fresh, the marinara sauce complimented the cheese sticks well. For pizzas we ordered the veggie and Earth Wind and Fire 3.0. The veggie was amazing, especially after adding some marinara sauce and red pepper flakes. The Earth Wind and Fire was a little disappointing, the lemon ricotta was overwhelming - bottom line I think I just enjoy red sauce pizzas better, the rest of the group liked it.
I would defiantly go back, staff and service were top notch.

Wrecktangle Wreck-tales: A Saucy Standoff

On Fridays, the gym rats, Mike, and I flex our muscles. One such Friday, we decided to test the hype around Wrecktangle Pizza in Uptown. I parked my car on Aldrich Avenue, a free parking spot, a rare gem in a city where even breathing seems to cost money. I strutted towards the main door, only to find it locked. A sign directed me to an inconspicuous entrance on Lake Street. I could swear the entire restaurant was laughing at my failed break-in attempt!

Once inside, I was warmly greeted and given the choice to brave the elements or enjoy the air-conditioned paradise. Patio, please! Mike, fashionably late, showed up gasping for icy water. The waitress, ever so kind, fetched it post-haste. However, with a seasoned salesperson's persuasive skills, Mike talked me into trading the patio's ambiance for the indoor freeze.

As we sat inside the restaurant, our waitress Ms. Bryn, who seemed to have wrestled with life and won, promptly came and greeted us and asked if we wanted anything to drink, as the spot also had a full bar longer than the Las Vegas strip. Mike ordered a 1919 Root Beer with ice, Bryn told him that the drink came in a super cold mug, but Mike persisted and finally won the battle; Root Beer in an ice-cold mug with ice for him and plain old water with no ice for me.

Our pizzas, mirroring each other in toppings but differing by a slice count of six to two, were officially ordered at 3:02 PM. The eatery, with an ambiance like a metal concert and a personality split between a bar, restaurant, and gift shop, buzzed louder than a bee on caffeine. Children wailed, music played, and Mike, perhaps overwhelmed, enquired about the existence of a cotton candy store. Outside, the scene was equally tumultuous, with ambulances, near-accidents, panhandlers, and a comical line of patrons trying to pry open the dummy door. Mike, playing spy, whispered that Bryn was having a tequila party at the bar.

Mike's Root Beer looked so refreshing that I ordered one too. Our pizzas arrived at 3:27 PM. Mike, ever the critic, complained about the lack of tomato sauce. I hadn't noticed until he pointed it out, and suddenly, I felt like I was munching on cheese bread. Mike, playing the hero, fetched some sauce from Bryn. It did improve the pizza, but the show's star was the 1919 Root Beer.

Boxing the leftover pieces for my wife and sister-in-law, I also packed some of the now-precious sauce on Mike's insistence. The end was near as Bryn presented us with the bill. She inquired about its division - separate, thank you - and then dropped a sauce bomb. Who was to pay for it? What followed was the most "Minnesota nice" standoff I'd ever seen. Armed with pizza-photo evidence, Mike, Bryn, master of the gaslighting technique. I felt like a kid stuck in a grown-up quarrel, wishing to disappear under the table. In a masterstroke of sarcasm, Bryn offered to deduct the sauce - a proposal Mike met with an enthusiastic 'yes.'

As I fled the madhouse, I reflected on our adventure: the pizza- meh!, the atmosphere like a rock concert, but the 1919 Root Beer was absolutely heavenly. Wrecktangle Pizza gets a generous 3.5 stars from me. Would I return? Only if I could bring my own sauce. But, given the likelihood, I might also win the lottery tomorrow!

Gyro/Gyro

Wonderful place wonderful workers very polite people definitely my new favorite place to eat out at from now on!! I felt terrible because I got there 5 min before they closed but they were beyond friendly about it and invited me back! Oh I'm definitely coming back! I got a to go order and it's 8:19pm right now and just had a few bites of my food I'm beyond blown away by the taste it's so good and authentic it takes me back to a very happy place!!!  Not to mention I'm a very picky about certain food places but I'm so happy I tried this place SO WORTH IT!!! Made my day! 🖤

I'm a regular here and customer service has improved immensely with this new guy they hired. I really like the good hospitality! Keep it up 👍

This meal was better than expected. The size of my Gyro was massive. So big that I thought they forgot the pita. Looked like a family ran location with authentic food. Meat wasn't too dry. Perfect amount of ingredients and vegetables tasted really fresh. I also love these types of places because of their specific type of fries. They are a large fry with the perfect amount of crunch but not overcooked. Fry cheese is typical pumped cheese. Nothing good or bad about it but when mixed with the fries it is delicious. Very friendly and not crowded. Will definitely be back. Keep up the great work!!

This place is amazing! We come here every week for our gyros. They taste amazing and are consistent every single time. Never had a bad experience. Highly recommend

Great food. Fries are so crispy.  The sauce could have a little more flavor but all is so good!  Will be back soon!

The Honey Baked Ham Company

I love the sandwich called Honey Baked. It is amazing!! I love the friendly staff

Their hams are way over priced....if you are lazy and rich ....it's a good place for you....one is paying for the bone more then the meat...

I ordered a pickup online, got a much larger ham than expected (I'm assuming it's the smallest whole one they had), and staff was incredibly nice considering I showed up later than my pickup window. will definitely recommend this location!

Quick service and nice staff - there was a lot of upselling involved but we managed to get away for less than 80 bucks with a coupon!

Get together w my 3 cousins weekly for lunch & decided I would bring ½ smoked turkey breast from Kirkwood store.   Stopped by to check out prices & info.   Hillary was most helpful & informative about options.   The sliced turkey & Hawaiian Rolls were a huge hit & now I bring it monthly- everytime my turn to bring main course.   If you buy the ½ smoked breast it much cheaper per lb than purchasing slices.
Hillary was so nice & helpful & friendly.  I later purchased the deal w ½ turkey breast, rolls & 2 sides for friend who just got out of hospital to feed her family.   It was reasonable & very appreciated.

Kaslik Mediterranean Cuisine

Wonderful, freshly prepared Mediterranean Cuisine! Good people behind the counter and in the kitchen, too.

Great atmosphere inside, with some free parking. Most customers appeared to be placing orders to go, like me. The minimal parking lot seems to reflect this.

This is my first time trying Middle Eastern food. Great dining experience and service. Dining room looks great! Food was amazing, I couldn’t help but order more!

Went today for the first time as a date night. Had a great time and the food was amazing. Even better than expected. I had the beef shawarma.

Expect to pay over $15 for most entrees.  The price is the only downside though, and considering everything seems to be made to order the price can be justified.

Service was good as well and I enjoyed meeting the staff.

I will definitely be backave will bring friends to try too!

I went for lunch and had take out , very thing is fine but the server barely speak English, and he’s not welcome in person could be the language , not very attentive to his customer since I was the only Customer and this restaurant. Price was acceptable. I had no problem with that.

First time at this restaurant.  We truly enjoyed the food, I had the Mixed Grill and my wife had the Beef Shawarma. Both were excellent.

The service was a little slow. I believe the server was new and still learning. He still did a good job. I think experience will help as he was very courteous and nice.

The atmosphere was nice with beautiful music and a nice decor.

We will be going back and I recommend them.
