Walmart Supercenter

Fellow truckers and drivers of America this Walmart is very roomy if you have a delivery.  They were also NTransit friendly!  They were on top of it!  They were already unloading by the time i got in the door!  Good job Gatlin!!

What a miserable store. Tell me, have you looked at how the employees seem lifeless or you hear conversations about how bad management is or that they didn't get breaks because they were threatened with their jobs? I have. This store gets worse with product, employees, and service. I personally only go there if I have to. My groceries are bought elsewhere, and unless I need something the same day that they might carry, I order online or get it in a different town. Walmart used to be a respectable place. But when the CEOs became money hungry, it all went down to the toilet. You can make complaints all you want. Instead of making changes for the better they take it out on their employees acting like it's their fault. It's pathetic.

This location is not your average Walmart. I know this from experience, having lived in large urban cities for the majority of my life (45 years in Dallas and Los Angeles). The only place in urban areas that I have been to where you will see a Walmart that looks like this, is on their website. The big city locations are almost uniformly dirty, poorly staffed with employees that do not have a good work ethic or care anything about Customer Service, from the manager on down. In the Walmarts that I have had available to me, you would find clothing strewn about the floor because uncaring customers would take an item off the rack to look at it and then just drop it on the floor instead of putting it back on the rack. The clothing would remain on the floor, because the employees did not care enough about their store, to pick up after their awful customers (not meaning that all Walmart customers are awful, only meaning the ones who act like this are awful). It would be the same situation in the shoe department. Shoes would be strewn all over the aisles, and if customers bothered putting them on the shelves, they just stuck them anywhere. Again, the shoes remained on the floor and mismatched on the shelves, because the employees did nothing to straighten up or keep them in order after awful customers acted like this.

It seems to be pretty universally common for people to complain about Walmart, even here locally. Without addressing any of Walmart‘s policies or salaries or any affect that they have had on smaller and mid-sized cities that they have moved into, customers that have this particular store available to them do not know how lucky they are to have such a clean and well-staffed store, if they choose to shop there.

My question to Walmart would be, if one of your stores can look this good, and be run as well as this location (where there is not a large population to draw from), why can’t you find qualified managers/employees in large urban areas, that will run their store and care for it like they do here?

In this time of increasing inflation, Walmart is here with usually the best pricing, making it easier for people on limited budgets. People of middle or high income also have it available, if they choose to. I completely believe in supporting local merchants as well, if you are in a financial position to do so, and I think it is important to the continuity and lifeblood of small to mid-sized towns.

(tagging this post in the hopes that management/employees at this store take notice of my appreciation for what a great job they do, and for Walmart headquarters to recognize what a great location this is, but to also be aware of just how much improvement is needed in their urban locations)

This is probably my favorite Walmart that I have been to. I only visit as I don't live in Kansas, my parents do. This Walmart is always clean and well stocked. The employees always seem to be very friendly also. I have yet to get that Walmart crowd here.

I have to give credit to Mrs. Jen. I was getting ready to travel back home from Great Bend which is a 15hr drive. I went there first thing in the morning to get my oil changed on my vehicle(they were the only ones opened). The guys who did my oil change messed my vehicle up and put a damaged piece on my vehicle, which caused smoking and my engine to knock (making a funny noise) I called them and explained what happened and what was going on; left my name and number with an associate. Jen called me back the same day, very professional and has great emotional intelligence. She contacted the Walmart where I live, sent emails to EVERYONE in every department. She called me back to let me know she contacted every manager who’s email she’s found. She assured me she would take care of everything that went wrong with my vehicle. She really helped me out and had the associates of the Walmart where I live come to my house and service my car even though they didn’t do anything. I can’t thank Mrs. Jen, Mrs. Tina and Marcus enough for fixing my vehicle. Jen is the epitome of what great management looks like and what they should be. And to top it off she doesn’t even work in Automotive 😂😂but yet she went above and beyond for me. If y’all happen to see her or know her please show her this and tell her Thank you for making Walmart that much better and providing customers with that type of reassurance in getting their needs met. Thank you Mrs. Jen!!!!

C & E Doors LLC

This group was slammed with orders due to weather. I had a minor concern about the operation of my house garage door and they quickly hurried over the get it working well despite being very booked out.

Dennis was great  even showed up a day earlier than expected. I run a business out of this building. So I really needed it done. Thanks Dennis wonderful  communication and  fixed every thing in a short time. Would use them agian if I need them.

I had issues with the other garage door specialists in Great Bend. Poor customer support, overcharging, and lack of ability. C & E came out and fixed their mistakes quickly and professionally.

So excited to get the part needed right here in Great Bend!  Garage door came crashing down, torsion spring broke.   Saved us from having to wait days and payout outrageous shipping charges. Saved us from driving 4 hours to a big box store where not all stores carried the part! Got there right before closing where we were greeted with a smile and left with part in hand and a smile on our face!  Thank you C&E! Highly recommend!

Called C&E Doors and they sent the most kind and courteous employees, thank you so much for your excellent job!!!

Bruce's Body Shop

I recommend Bruce's Body Shop, slid off a icy driveway and got my left steer tire stuck in mud, I didn't get the guy that came name, but he was friendly and helpful and didn't charge too much, thanks again.

Amazing!!  My mom was visiting from out of town when her car stalled out. Called State Farm and AAA and even the Chevy dealer and no one could be there to help for at least an hour and a half. But Bruce came thru...we called him and he was with us within 2 minutes.  He was also covered by my AAA.  He had helped me in the past tow my car 150miles ..accepted payment upon arrival instead of beforehand.  Bruce gets an A+ in my book. I'll call him again. Thanks Bruce!!

So it has been over a year ago, but I ran into that stupid new school crossing light by the city park....and it absolutely blew my tire right out! I do not live here so I was unaware that it existed....anyway...was a Sunday and I absolutely could not get anyone...I tried my cell phone insurance co....too far from anyplace, tried my auto insurance....too far as well. Tried a few places in Marysville, no luck.   So I looked at the Marysville Advocate that I had purchased and found this tiny ad for "Bruce's". This man was so kind and got my teeny donut tire put on and assured me it would get me home...to No. Platte, Ne.  He did not want anything either...and I so appreciate he helped me. Made it home safely. Glad to post this. Good man!

This place did exactly what they said in less time than was estimated.  They handled everything with the insurance company.  The quality of their work is beyond anything I expected.  Can't tell the car was ever even scratched.  Bruce's 10 deer 0!!🤗

I’m an out-of-towner: a young 23 year old woman traveling alone. I called on a Sunday for wrecker services as I’d gotten my car stuck in mud. I called and was eventually put in contact with Chad who was on call at that time. Chad was professional, kind, and very helpful. Not only did he get my car unstuck quickly, he never made me feel unsafe on a muddy backroad. He made sure I had bug spray to defend against pesky mosquitos and told me how to get my insurance company to refund me for his services. Overall, very impressed and glad I crossed paths with Chad on my little adventure!

Update: For three months I have been coming here to get supplies for renovating my house and they have been stocked on each occasion except for one time. They were stocked today and I got the files to sharpen my blade.

The reason this store will do well in this town is because of their outstanding customer service. Very classy and friendly. I came in today at about 5:55pm not knowing they closed at 6. When I came in, Barb politely asked me if she could help me find anything. I declined stating I had a few things to pick up and was just browsing. At 6:05 Matt politely asked me if he could help, and when I declined he said they would be closing soon but to let them know if I could use any help. I asked him when they would close and he said 6pm. I was really taken back by how friendly and helpful they were even as I was keeping them after closing hours. Needless to say I rushed to the register but Barb and Matt could not have done a better job serving a customer. Management would be smart to highly appreciate them.

At first cashier was offer to call someone to help with what I was wanting to buy that was outside. I got another employee myself to help and he was great help. Didn't have to ask him really he was around the corner working in the paint section and heard. When I turned to go find someone he said he would no problem. I didn't catch their names but not hard to figure out beings not many work a shift in small town stores.
Found and got what I needed and at great prices. Thank you once again young man for your welcomed help. Keep up the great job.

Ace Hardware in Lyons KS is the go to store for us.  The employees are always very helpful, and genuinely happy to see us,
and to help us.
A big plus is that the store is always adequately stocked and clean.  The prices are competitive and the sales are always
a nice plus.

I called Rex after getting a quote from another company. He was half the price. Answered all my questions on the phone. Had me take a few quick pictures. Was out the next week and replaced the door in 2 poor so hours. Door is awesome, much quieter and better insulated. The other company had a 14 week lead time.

The one thing that stood out the most was that I asked him if I needed to relieve my garage door opener. He took a look at it, knew where the common wear points were, told me that usually after an opener got this old it needed replaced. He said mine was fine.

Honest man who did honest work. I will call him every time.

Awesome services, Mr. Rex came to my house on short notice & was able to have my garage back to new if not better by the time he was done. He was extremely nice, fast & very affordable for those random occurrences that do happen to happen out of nowhere. Would refer him to anyone as well as use his services in any future repairs/installations.

We have had both of our garage doors replaced by Rex. His service is quick, thorough, friendly and efficient. Our first service was done a couple years ago and when our other door went, he was our first choice to replace this one. Great experiences and working fine!

Do you warranty your work?  You replaced a garage door opener at 614 Seitz CT invoiced on 2 May 20 and I just got a bill from my property manager on 31 July 20 for $45 to have it re-secured to the ceiling.  Not even 90 days.  Mathis Lueker is my property manager.

Rex was amazing! He was there before the time he originally told me because he knew my garage was left open and I had to work. 10/10 recommend.

First time been here. Walmart always have lots of selection with competitive price compare to other grocery stores. The goods on the shelves are arrange nicely. The ladies upfront was nice and helpful, and they let me  stay overnight at parking. Because I was out of hours. recommended place to shop 💯👍

Why is the Seward store such a mess all the time. Things say they are in stock on line and you go to the store the shelves are empty. There is pallet after pallet of things that need to be stocked. You can’t even push your cart down the isles and don’t even think about trying to get to the other side of the isle without going to the end of the isle. I’ve been to the stores in Lincoln and York and they don’t look like this.WHAT IS THE ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!

Nah cuz it's Walmart. It's top tier . Nothing better. Plus the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus the backroom is organized so finding your products will go smoothly

Checkers are really helpful. Not so much in the rest of the store  if you can find an employee or if you do they don't know anything

Ok store didn't like cloths or shoe selection. Clearence wasnt the best but had potential. All I got. Update. Decided to go back they have alot of clearence items right now lots of shoes and sandals for $1. The clearance isle has alot of phone case and other items.

I'm really curious why it's closed in the middle of the day at the PX when it's supposed to be open.  I'm not in the habit of just sitting around waiting for someone to decide to want to work.

I just sat here for about half an hour and not a soul I'm sight. This is absolutely garbage.

Dylan was unprofessional, started when I walked into the store he said "Get out! Just kidding". next he said " I was skinny as shi*", and he recommends me to get the sport package from my pro membership. I think he needs to learn some manners, I am not his bro.

Sapp Bros. Travel Center

As usual, it has everything you need and more. Friendly and heplful staff. Bathrooms are super clean. Toilet seats have a bidet and keep you warm. Thank you for that detail. It's great on winter nights if you travel.

OMG..I couldn't believe they have bidet. It's so cool. The toilet seats are heated, lighted, & have a bidet. I wish every travel stop install them. The store, bathrooms, fast food A&W area were all very clean

Everyone mentions the toilets or the A&W here but what got my attention was the anti-human trafficking measures in place, from the lockable full stall units of the women's bathrooms, the big red "if you're in danger" button by the sink, and the sign out front advocating. Was both spooked by the need for it but impressed by the efforts.

The place is nice and clean. You can get almost everything here! There is an A&W inside.  It needs help. The coffee is good.  Not all of the drink machines were operational.  Higher prices than I am used to. Nice guy at the register.  He was the only employee there.

oh my god, I traveled 40 states on my truck and for the first time switched to another fuel card which showed a good price for diesel on this truck. Plus I opened a reward card and after refueling I received bonuses for a shower room. Further more, I saw a heated toilet and neatly folded towels with soap, at first I cried because of how wonderful this shower is for a truck driver and only then I went to wash and went to Denver. Thank you, please open more Sapp Bros in the eastern part of America, there truck drivers suffer without good showers and the rest .

We called last minute to view a house in JC.  Amanda Bacon came right over to show.  Although we didn't choose that house, we really loved Amanda's energy and asked if she would help us find our new home in JC.  We were on a time crunch.  Amanda lined up 9 showings in one day and we made an offer that evening.  Amanda walked us through the home buying experience and made it as easy as possible.  We appreciate her hard work and super fun personality!  Look forward to doing more deals in the future.

Holly and her team are amazing. Very friendly, esp with military families. They were knowledgeable about the market and actually listened to our wants and needs for our home. She showed us 6 houses and we ended up buying the first one she showed us. Just perfect!  Amazing folks!

I was in the market for a home in Junction City. I started my search with Robin from this office and she was unknowledgeable in the market of the area, so much so that the only actionable information I got from working with her was when her husband stopped by at a house showing. I found a house that I liked and decided to make a bid I asked Robin if what condition disclosures were available a few days later I was told there was none so I made a bid based off that information. The owner immediately came back accepting my offer as long as I signed the condition report on the roof damage… Clearly there was a report, due diligence was not done and she always treated me as if I was not knowledgeable enough to make any real decision.  Her lack of professional curtesy, due diligence and, friendly personality was far more than enough to never use the company again.

UPDATE:

I started working with Peggy at Coldwell banker and had a great experience. I found a house that I loved but it had a Century 21 sign in the yard. I liked the house enough and Peggy was good at working with me and I made a bid. It was accepted! I tried to get several messages to the owner about closing dates and about condition and I knew that the sellers were older ladies and I wanted them to know that I was willing to take care of any items that they were left in the house. None of these messages made it to the sellers! Costing me time out before closing as the sellers pushed it based on needing to clear stuff out of the house and other issues. Additionally after closing the listing agent came to the house to hand the last of the keys that were in her possession. This was appreciated until she entered the house as if it had not been sold! She had no regard to my property and trespassed into the house and when she was confronted in my kitchen about being in the house she thought nothing was wrong.

I have worked with Holly Beck and have had very positive experiences with her.    She is very honest and has integrity.   She works really hard on behalf of her clients.

Realtor Heidi Morgan is lazy or incompetent on her duties, I dont recommend using her buying or selling property in Kansas. She takes days to return phone call and ask her questions about property and you will be waiting until the cow come home for the answers
