Our agent Scott went above and beyond the call of duty when helping us find our new home. We moved to Wichita from 12 hours away and Scott was our eyes and ears on the ground for weeks. Unfortunately, the response of feigned sympathy is an empty gesture.  Having worked in real estate, I know that referrals and repeat business are a realtor's best friend.  Although this transaction went awry for reasons that they could not control, I have received NO further communication from our realtor, nor her office.  It seems that once she received the bare minimum of what she wanted from our transaction - her commission - she felt she had nothing else to gain and has completely vanished (as well as unfriended me on Facebook which, as far as I'm concerned, is just petty).  If there had been some sort of follow-up, checking in on us to see how we're settling in to our new - and being improved - home, I likely would have referred prospective buyers to her and hired her to list our home when it comes time to sell.  Being a military family, both of these situations are guaranteed.  However, given the lack of follow-up, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
If you take nothing else from my review, notice that almost all of the positive reviews of this company come from those who work for it, in attempt to raise their rating.

Original Review:
Upon receiving a military assignment to Wichita, my family got connected with a realtor from the Trusted Advisor team at Re/max Premier to help us find a home to purchase.  The realtor with whom we worked was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which was important to us as newcomers to the area.  Her communication with us through the process of purchasing the home we chose left something to be desired - I often had to initiate contact with her in order to receive updates.  Additionally, the home inspector that was hired by her recommendation missed quite a few health & safety items,  most notably mold and water damage that were pre-existing to our offer and ownership, as determined by a mold remediation company.  Upon approaching this realtor to be an advocate (and trusted advisor) for us to find recourse with the sellers, who did not disclose the water problems caused by the outdated roof, we were sorely disappointed with the lack of concern or action by this realtor, her team lead, and the managing broker.  Although we were told there were attempts to correspond with the seller's agent and broker, we found ourselves being strung along for over a month in hopes of recourse with the seller to ultimately be told that there wouldn't be any.  We ended up ponying up almost $2,000 to mitigate mold and water damage that was present far prior to our ownership (as made evident by wood rot on the subfloor and wall studs).
All things said, this realtor and her team were not trusted advisors, nor effective advocates in our experience, but would likely be sufficient for a client with an uncomplicated transaction.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to hire this person. It's like she doesn't want to sell the property she has listed on behalf of RE/MAX.

I've tried to get in contact with this agent on multiple properties but she never return your call and when does TEXT you back she has an excuse as to why the property isn't a good choice.

Her ability to deal customers is so poor I feel bad for the company she is representing.

RE/MAX PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR AGENTS WISELY.

Watch out for Chris Lary's terrible, terrible communication skills. She's very friendly and engaging when in the presence of other realtors or builders to the point of being fake. Otherwise, its pulling teeth to get info from or through her.  She will tell you what she thinks you want to hear before you sign the contract, but won't give you the time of day once she believes there's no more money to be made off you. Just stop and ask any of the residents in Bay Country that have delt with her. Everyone has a Chris Lary story and all the stories share the same arrogant, indifferent, and greedy undertone. Be warned.

Kiddy Kollege Child Care Center

Our baby girl has been here a few months, since she was able as an infant, now still only 8 mo old. She’s happy to see the caretakers, she plays with a lot of items when we see her, she develops her skills as she’s there since we notice she does more movements when she’s home, the other kids there enjoy time with her so she sees a lot of other kids. The pricing is fair, and you got basically 12 hour access 6a to 6p which is cool. Very flexible. They have a nice online system if you want to keep track of the kiddo every now and again at the place. See their feed/sleep times too. No complaints.

They’re the best! My son loves his teachers and enjoys playing with his friends. We also love the app they use to send us updates all day.

My son started attending 6 months ago. We have noticed in those 6 months how much he has learned academically. They work with all of the kids with patience and kindness. We love the staff and plan on attending for the years to come. We are so grateful to have found a place our son enjoys going everyday.

Our daughter has been here fulltime for 2 years and it has been amazing! She loves her teachers and friends so much and always says she has fun days at daycare! They are amazing people that really care about the kids

Kiddy Kollege is an great day care. My kiddos have been at the Tyler and Country Acres locations both. Erika is wonderful, she has such a good heart and you can tell she really loves the kids. The director of Country Acres, Melissa, is absolutely amazing. I feel like she goes above and beyond to help us and has excellent communication with me! She has been in this field for a long time and it shows in the excellent customer services she provides and in the care she takes of the kids.  All of the teaches, at both centers, are very sweet and do such a good job with the kids. My kids are always happy to go and they have a good time when they are there. I appreciate taking them to a center I can trust, that has teaches who love them!

We absolutely can’t say enough positive things about preschool at Millard Children’s Academy. Our daughter has learned so much in the year and half she has been there and is prepared for kindergarten because of it. The staff has been amazing since day one. I think compared to other centers, the most important influencing factor is the staff has long tenure making familiar faces each and everyday for the kids. Everyone is friendly, welcome to feedback, they provide bi-annual progress reports, and committed to the best interest of the kids. We would highly recommend Millard Children’s Academy to anyone!!!

My daughter has been attending MCA for about a year and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful! She just turned five and I feel that she is extremely well-prepared to go into Kindergarten in a few months. The staff at MCA are very friendly and they offer weekly field trips that you can sign your child up for at any time, plus they have several different rooms that the kids rotate between so they aren't just sitting in the same classroom all day long. My daughter loves going to preschool every day and I'm so glad we sent her to Millard Children's Academy.

Our son has been at MCA since he was 2 1/2, he is now 5. We have had a great experience here! The staff is very friendly and takes great care of our little guy! The preschool program is wonderful, the kids get to rotate through different rooms that each focus on a different subject to help keep them learning and engaged. Everything is always clean and they are good about keeping us informed of any illnesses in our son’s class. Each week they have a theme to learn about and they do so many awesome art projects with the kids! We have no doubt our son is in excellent hands while we are working!

I cannot speak highly enough about Millard Children's Academy.  The staff is professional, courteous, and always shows the utmost care for our kiddos.  Since bringing our first child to MCA 5 years ago, we have consistently been impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the focus on learning while our kids are there.  Our littles genuinely love their teachers and look forward to going to MCA every morning.  If you are searching for a childcare provider, please do not hesitate to consider Millard Children's Academy!

We were originally referred to Millard Children's Academy by 3 of our neighbors. We couldn't be happier with deciding to take our kids there. I am a construction superintendent with 40 years of experience and did a lot of research to find the right manufacturer for my own home. Although the wait was long I received a door to my specifications that was of good quality. I did the install myself with the help of 4 carpenters(heavy!). The door hardware matched perfectly and and the reveals were spot on. I don't know how the finish will hold up but so far so good. The door itself is made in China which gave me pause and this is not mentioned on the website. All in all a good experience.

Midwest Iron Doors offers a patented thermal break system necessary for our midwestern weather, the custom options are limitless and the end product is always spectacular.  After almost 10 years of doing business with MWID I can say that the customer service has never waivered, the communication is top notch and the product is exceptional.  It is the only iron door I will ever own or sell.

I have been trying for over two years to get my door repaired ,or replace it if you can't repair it. The metal is peeling off the wood. Dan Cullinane canceled two appointments before the pandemic. When travel was open again, I emailed Dan he said he would send paint, and said any painter could paint it. I explained the problem and sent pictures. He will no longer respond. I called and asked for the owner and explained the issue.I have had no response from this company. This door cost me almost $10,000. I noticed the response to reviews sent this company. Believe me I have better things to do with my time than to send false information about any company. I just want my door fixed or replaced.

I have purchased 7 doors from Midwest.   I have worked with  two other Iron door companies in the past and neither of them have  the quality of midwest's doors.  Midwest's custom design abilities are great and the doors have provided the WOW factor we strive for on our projects.  If you live somewhere that gets cold in the winter  you are crazy to buy a iron door from anywhere else.

Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza

I come to this location multiple times a week and the staff is always super nice. We keep coming back because the pizza is always so consistently good, and the $10 XLNY is hard to beat!

We love Papa Murphy’s pizza. It is so easy to order online, pick it up & bake it when we are ready so it’s nice and hot!

Always smiling and pleasant when we visit.   This is one of our weekly regular spots.  Pizza always yummy ☺️

Stop by to get a Chicago style double crust pizza and the pizza was pretty much all bread. They put like a quarter of an inch worth of toppings in the pizza. If even that. It was $20 and it tasted terrible. What a waste of money. Then what I complain they told me they would give me 25% off my next order. I told them I wouldn't be back as I could credit me 25%. Then she said I had to call back tomorrow to explain the situation and request that. I even tipped the girl of the pizza was awful.

Eric at the store was awesome. I had a online coupon that wasn't working for some reason and he made it right by me. Highly recommend this store. The store was clean and was welcoming.

The Maids in Wichita

They did a fantastic job! They arrived on time with a 4-person crew. They did the living room, dining room, office, kitchen, two bathrooms, and a laundry room and they finished everything in one hour (We requested only one hour of cleaning, as this was a trial run to see if this service would be worth it for us, and it is definitely worth it).  The rates are obviously different depending on the size of the house, the condition things are in, and how much you are wanting done, etc., but for us it was $200 for the first cleaning, and $160 for bi-weekly cleans, which is a GREAT deal.
They did a wonderful job; everything was cleaned thoroughly, smelled nice, and they even did some light organizing. All 4 ladies were extremely nice and professional. I am so happy with how the house looks, we scheduled them to come back bi-weekly.

I can't comment on the actual maid service, I didn't get that far. Matter of fact, I didn't even get a quote from them, even though I was sent an immediate message from SJ, following my request, saying "someone will contact you soon" to give me a quote. In my request, I detailed exactly what I needed and when (same day service the following day, 2 rooms, kitchen & bathroom, combined smaller than 60 sq.ft). When I didn't hear from anyone by the following morning, I sent two more messages, both went unanswered. Tick tock tick tock.
I then called The Maids office in Wichita and told the receptionist who I'd gotten the message from and hadn't heard back with a quote. She put me on hold and I assumed I was being connected with SJ. Wrong. The receptionist back came on the line and told me their base rate is $220/hr for a 4 person team. For 2 little rooms that won't hold 4 people? I was told if they finished in less than an hour, they would piddle around and do other things like dust to fill in the time. I was stunned. I said thank you and hung up, my mouth still open in amazement. That's crazy!                             .
Then I realized I had been waiting half a day for a quote from someone that I just got myself in less than 5 minutes, the same amount of time it would have taken someone to reply, with that info, to my request in the first place. Instead they ignored my messages and wasted my time, time I didn't have to waste.
You'd think that was the end, right? I did, the day I needed them had come and gone. A week later, I received 3 messages in 3 days from 3 (I think) people, the last from SJ, the one that contacted me first. They all basically said the same thing, thanked me for my interest, happy to help and to reply for a quote. I responded to each one becoming more and more convinced it was a good thing that I didn't get any farther with them.
This treatment wasn't at all professional, especially to a potential new customer or to any one for that matter. Not responding to messages, not responding in a timely manner and then responding a week too late, as if it were nothing, are totally unacceptable. That was my first and last time with The Maids in Wichita, Ks. I do not recommend.

Hit and miss cleaning quality. Very poor communication with multiple missed appointments and accountability. Would not recommend if you value your time and money.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park

Tanganyika provided an affordable, indoor space for my 5 year olds December birthday party. It was super cool, educational and interactive experience that the kids and adults all loved. My son was able to choose 4 animals that he and his friends got to learn about and touch. The sloth was the fan favorite for sure!

We did upgrade to the package that included  decorations, which was definitely worth it. We arrived 15 minutes prior to the event and everything was set and ready to go! We only had to set the snacks. They also did all the tear down as well. We just made sure the trash and what we brought was cleaned up. Taylee checked in on us several times to make sure we did not need anything.

My one and only complaint was that the acoustics in the room were not great making it a bit loud.

But my son and his guests all loved the experience! Thanks for making his birthday party dreams come true.

WOW! What an unforgettable experience! My family and I came in from Kansas City to visit and it was incredible. We were there from open until close. The splash park is a wonderful addition so be sure to bring your swimsuits, sunscreen, and towels. Such a great way to cool off on a hot day. We loved the unlimited feedings option. My kids could not get enough of it! We can't wait to come back again!!

I have had several people recommend visiting and I am so glad we did! There are so many opportunities for animal encounters. I am impressed with how clean the area is and how healthy and animals look. Employees stressed not bothering animals who were away/under cover and to leave them alone if they got up and walked away. I didn't notice any stress behaviors during our visit and we even saw more animals playing that we usually do at zoos. It is fairly expensive to visit so we won't come as often as we would other similar spaces but we will definitely come back again sometime. Do buy tickets online though as they are cheaper than they are at the window. We got the passes with unlimited feedings and had a great time with them.

I purchased the "best day" package for our son's birthday trip & unfortunately Mother Nature didn't cooperate (the high was 39° for the day) but the staff was amazing! We got a partial refund due to most animals being inside & feedings not being done but our experiences were still a GO! The VIP lounge was a great place to warm up & offered us free hot Coco! Even though the weather was cold we still had a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing experience. The weather was perfectly comfortable. The cooler weather seemed to make the animals more active. Each enclosure had animals interacting. The different breeds of babies leads me to believe that animals  are happily reproducing. I look forward to the next opportunity that we can return.

Wax Lab - Inside Opulent Salon

Annie does a great job waxing and is one of the most affordable options in town! I've been going to her for a little over a year and I'm really pleased with the results every time. The salon is also really nicely decorated and I love the little shopping area up front. Super cute place and easy to find.

I was a bit nervous for my first wax but Anne was clearly an expert. She was quick and great about talking me through the whole process. I highly recommend!!

I came for a Brazilian Wax, but left with so much more. The service was definitely 5 Star, it was easy and smooth, plus I was educated. Anne is truly someone special, in every way!! Amazing conversation as well!! Please book, ASAP! Tell all your friends!! Lol

Just moved to the area and found Annie by chance. Had my first appointment today and she was great. Quick and thorough - exactly what you want with a waxing! She was very friendly and very knowledgeable in her field.
