The Maids in Wichita

They did a fantastic job! They arrived on time with a 4-person crew. They did the living room, dining room, office, kitchen, two bathrooms, and a laundry room and they finished everything in one hour (We requested only one hour of cleaning, as this was a trial run to see if this service would be worth it for us, and it is definitely worth it). The rates are obviously different depending on the size of the house, the condition things are in, and how much you are wanting done, etc., but for us it was $200 for the first cleaning, and $160 for bi-weekly cleans, which is a GREAT deal. They did a wonderful job; everything was cleaned thoroughly, smelled nice, and they even did some light organizing. All 4 ladies were extremely nice and professional. I am so happy with how the house looks, we scheduled them to come back bi-weekly.

I can't comment on the actual maid service, I didn't get that far. Matter of fact, I didn't even get a quote from them, even though I was sent an immediate message from SJ, following my request, saying "someone will contact you soon" to give me a quote. In my request, I detailed exactly what I needed and when (same day service the following day, 2 rooms, kitchen & bathroom, combined smaller than 60 sq.ft). When I didn't hear from anyone by the following morning, I sent two more messages, both went unanswered. Tick tock tick tock. I then called The Maids office in Wichita and told the receptionist who I'd gotten the message from and hadn't heard back with a quote. She put me on hold and I assumed I was being connected with SJ. Wrong. The receptionist back came on the line and told me their base rate is $220/hr for a 4 person team. For 2 little rooms that won't hold 4 people? I was told if they finished in less than an hour, they would piddle around and do other things like dust to fill in the time. I was stunned. I said thank you and hung up, my mouth still open in amazement. That's crazy! . Then I realized I had been waiting half a day for a quote from someone that I just got myself in less than 5 minutes, the same amount of time it would have taken someone to reply, with that info, to my request in the first place. Instead they ignored my messages and wasted my time, time I didn't have to waste. You'd think that was the end, right? I did, the day I needed them had come and gone. A week later, I received 3 messages in 3 days from 3 (I think) people, the last from SJ, the one that contacted me first. They all basically said the same thing, thanked me for my interest, happy to help and to reply for a quote. I responded to each one becoming more and more convinced it was a good thing that I didn't get any farther with them. This treatment wasn't at all professional, especially to a potential new customer or to any one for that matter. Not responding to messages, not responding in a timely manner and then responding a week too late, as if it were nothing, are totally unacceptable. That was my first and last time with The Maids in Wichita, Ks. I do not recommend.

Hit and miss cleaning quality. Very poor communication with multiple missed appointments and accountability. Would not recommend if you value your time and money.
