Target

Consumers should not pay the price for employees not stocking the shelves correctly. What happen to the days where consumers were valued? Well very disappointed that the shelves lie and mgmt could care less. I could see if there was 1 put out of place BUT ALL of these were in the wrong place. Employee error should not affect consumers pockets.

All the employees I’ve interacted with have been friendly, helpful, and very competent. In front of me in line, was a woman who thought she dropped some cash in the store and the employee who interacted with her was caring and took down her info and took a picture of something related to dropping the cash.

Some of the prices are outrageous especially for food items. Just like at any other store you have some rude and a couple friendly staff members. The restrooms are fairly maintained, They're outside pick-up area is way better than Albertsons because they do NOT allow just anyone to park in the designated spots.

You can always count on Target to find something fun and trendy, whether it is fashion or something for the home. Two weeks ago we were preparing for a cruise to the Caribbean and I need to find a swim suit for the trip. Even though I needed it in February I was able to find that Target had their swim suits out for early Spring!

Target is also a great place to find a grocery item you need for home. I was happy to see that they have added organic items at a cheaper price than some of our other local stores.

And best of all, you can grab a cup of coffee or some iced tea from Starbucks. The wait is usually not long at the Target Starbucks so sometimes I will skip the wait at our regular Starbucks and head to this one in Target!

People here are nice but the lines are insane. There’s never enough self check out machines or only one person at the actual register. Also nothing scans correctly in the self scan price check. Also the frozen area has been empty for months.  Not enough natural organic products.

School of Rock

I am very pleased with the School of Rock. My son (13) took 6 months of drum lessons. After being disappointed with his school's band program, he had lost interest in participating in lessons. I signed him up for lessons with School of Rock and his joy returned. He has formed a jam band with his friends and they are off and running! Thanks y'all!

We love that our son can learn through being in a band in addition to individual lessons. The opportunities to perform in a variety of professional music venues is always something he looks forward to. Performing at the Ryman Auditorium was a literal dream come true for him! The instructors are wonderful and it is a welcoming environment for all types of kids. It has been a great confidence boost. We are incredibly grateful our son has found such a good community and gets to do something he loves.

School of Rock is amazing. Our kids always have great conversations on how much they love each session every time we leave the School of Rock. The instructors are great with the kids, and the administrative staff is super professional and highly proficient in communication. Highly recommended the School of Rock, if you’re reading this review you should stop what you’re doing and enroll today.

Love taking my 6 year old to drum lessons every week. The school is well run, teachers are great, and the location for me is ideal. My son looks forward to drums every week!

We love everything about School of Rock! The ease of scheduling, location and the teachers. My 9 year old daughter LOVES it.

Dillard's

I LOVE that we have a MAC Cosmetics counter in Dillard’s East in Mesilla Valley Mall. MAC artist JD was very helpful & friendly when I called looking for a particular product. There was only one in stock. JD kindly held the product for me until I picked it up that evening. Excellent customer service! Thanks again, JD.

One of the managers, named Alan,  is incredibly rude and not helpful. Not sure how he became a manager with his attitude towards customers. Explaining my issues with some products I was sold, and he was blowing me off the entire time. He refused to give me his store manager's number, and gave me the online sales phone number when I asked for a corporate customer relations number. Taking this to the GM next, and if she can't fix it, I'm done with Dillard's.

I used to love shopping at Dillard's at this location. But things have changed. First, in the woman's department every single purse ended up being locked down. You can no longer shop without a "personal" shopper following right behind you and unlocking things. I hate the feeling so stopped going. I buy purses online now. A quick story:  a couple of years ago, I spent about 2k dollars in the men's department outfitting my younger brother with suits, ties, you name it... The sales associate forgot to ring up four shirts that came out to about $350 in total. I didn't catch it at the time, but did catch it when I got home and reviewed the receipt. I went back to Dillard's with the shirts and paid for them. I didn't make the mistake, the associate did, the tags even had the yellow return stickers added to them. They just never got rang up. Fast forward to 2023: Imagine my surprise when I went for the first time to the men's department in years, and my family and I were followed around like potential thieves by security. I kept noticing the man following us and literally thought he was trying to steal from us. It took watching him casually talking to employees and my sister clueing me in that it was security for me to actually understand what was happening and why I felt so off and guarded.

On top of being treated like a thieves, we couldn't find a sale's associate to check us out... this was after the sale's associate that was asked to help us ended up showing us one thing and then leaving to go help with something else that was more pressing... She did not come back.

I won't shop at Dillard's going forward. Pity it has to come to this, but the price points at Dillard's require ambiance and service. This place lacks both. Steer clear.

Went shopping at the mall for some nice clothes and perfumes for my upcoming vacation. They have a very big selection and friendly knowledgeable staff. It was a very enjoyable experience.

I enjoy shopping at dillards, love the shoe selection and womens clothing. However, the manager for the infant/ toddlers section is very rude and unwelcoming. She became upset because my daughter was playing with a stuffed animal and told me to leave it alone, since I told her I was not going to buy it. She then proceeded to tell me that the last time I was there, my daughter got the stuffy "wet" (not true) and that I was video recording her in the corner. I am allowed to take videos of my daughter and the fact that she was watching me that closely is creepy and made me uncomfortable! When I walked away, she continued to talk to another customer about the situation- super unprofessional. Other than that, the other sales people are helpful and kind.

Budget Blinds of Madison

This store is clean and the employees are kind and helpful. I enjoy shopping here if it's a quick stop or if I have time to waste and want to browse. The new store update is great also! The addition of an expanded grocery section is an added bonus to this location.

Love target it. Between Walmart stuff and mall stuff I love they clothes and have many selections when come to makeup or body even hair products different kind of brands good ones and  reasonable even have discounted bins in most departments always good clearance shoes staff is very friendly and helpful thank y'all target

Target really was very nice about my situation I have trouble with my cards and my counting sometimes (I have some issues) but when I did two times target employees did not try to embarrass me or cause a scene like alot of cashiers do i have seen this so much in walamart but i had plenty of momey to pay for my items but I ended up getting most of items  . Nastiest bathrooms I have ever been in. I have had to contact corporate twice from bloody tampons spilling out of bins and feces dried EVERYWHERE on toilet seats. Please start cleaning these biohazard bathrooms before someone gets a disease. Absolutely irresponsible.

Holmes Ace Hardware

Ace is the place for us. We are fortunate to live just blocks away, and they have a little bit of everything there! We love their customer service. Everyone there is knowledgeable and helpful. It reminds me of an “old school“ hardware store… A welcome change from the big Box stores today.

So I fairly recently gave this place five stars but then I had to change my review after today. I work for a company where we have a business account through ACE Hardware. I mostly will take some keys up there to get them cut. Pretty much all our keys for the same facility use the exact same blank and that's what I've consistently been taking up there to have my keys cut. Then all of a sudden today they can't seem to cut a key correctly. I've cut numerous keys and instead of them being honest and just being like we butcher your key. They tried to blame it on the key blank yet I've probably got 50 keys cut with the exact same key blank. I used to feel like this is one of the last few places that offered really good customer service but now I'm starting to feel a little different.

Amazing customer service.  Friendly, helpful staff. Great inventory. Competitive pricing. My go to store for that odd-ball part needed to fix something.  They have it all.

I have done business here  quite a few times even joined their club but I went in to buy paint and inquired about a contractors rate and the owner acted like I was robbing the place. Well I just went to a more accommodating place of business and purchased the product. As much as I like to do business with local and small business I probably won't hurry to do business here again.

Isenhour Door Products

Josh and Evan were great! What I thought would an impossible (today) or easy fix, they were able to do same day and quick.

If you want to be sold used parts as " new ", then by all means. Poor management skills with a bully mentality. They need to stick to hardware and leave the automatics to people that know what they are doing.

The two guys that man the front desk are top notch...highly recommended. Batting a 1000...👍

Walmart Supercenter

This place consistently has the worst curbside pickup experience. They rarely ever have an order ready at the scheduled pickup time. The parking spots are poorly marked and the phone number they give you to call to let them know you’ve arrived often goes unanswered. And they can get away with it because they don’t care about individual orders. Or people.

Today I went to this ridiculous place.  They are doing something to the parking lot, grating to re-pave (maybe).  You can barely find anyplace to park, many spaces are saved for people who won't come inside to do their own shopping.  They put the wellness display right in front of the dirty equipment repaving the parking lot.  You need a shower if you go near that wellness tent.  WTHeck?

This morning was probably the best shopping experience that I have ever had shopping.  The lot was rather empty at 0830, and the store had more associates there than the number of shoppers.  Shopping without having 10 people per aisle makes the act of shopping a real joy.  We got everything we needed and even found a cashier just waiting for us.  She was friendly and quick on the scanner.  She was very attentive to my wife's talk with her.  In short, it was a good day at Walmart.

I don't know what's going with this place, but it is not what it use to be. I went here on Sunday 11-21-21 and this store had stuff everywhere. Pallets all across the store you couldn't even get down some of the aisles. I am not for sure if they are under new management  but this place is a mess. Madison always have had the best Walmart and now it's terrible.  #Unacceptable.

We had a separate group at the other side of the station so his show was split and we got to enjoy it more.

AAA Ace Hardware

Great workers, great product selection. It was cold, and I was joking with a worker, his name was Jarod, about loading some cinderblocks. He was right on it. We need more workers like this with excellent customer service skills in the business today.

Good variety of stuff. Looks like they are expanding so definitely improving. Staff is very helpful.

Finch feeder I bought broke 2 days later the ball welded to the top popped off. Not there fault it was a manufacturing  mistake. I took it back they were going to give me my money back but I asked if they could fix it. Bob took me to the shop we welded it on and I got to keep my close out sale finch feeder. Truly above and beyond. Thanks Ace you were awesome.

Everyone was welcoming and Jarod helped me get the perfect thing for my husband for Christmas!

They have everything and if you ever need any help with Electrical questions nick is your guy he helped me with a install on a doorbell install and he answered all my questions he was Patient and vary nice so if you need help with that stuff he's your guy thank you so much nick

Very helpful and caring! Bathroom is upstairs. Hard to go up, if you are disabled. A Lot of steps !

Nice small town shop with a wide selection of hardware and tools. Friendly and helpful staff. Higher priced than big box stores like Menards but more convenient depending on your location.

Wonderful store! Trying to repair our grandchildrens popular toy I had hunted for special sized screws and nuts at 3-4 big box home improvement retailers but left each empty handed. Ace is the place! They had exactly what i needed in a variety of grades and lengths. Bigger isn't always better. Ace tries harder and succeeds. What a blessing the store is to small communities like Topeka &  Lagrange.

One of the best places I have ever showed. They go out of there way to help you .
