Shoshoni Yoga Retreat

Had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the retreat hut cabin was great, especially for the price. Clean facilities in such a beautiful wilderness setting. I enjoyed all the activities and the meals were delicious. I would love to go back again sometime!

My first time at Shoshoni was wonderful as it’s truly a unique and charming place to visit. Over the weekend my favorite parts of my yoga retreat included the hatha yoga classes (which were 1.5 hours each inc. meditation led by lovely yoga instructors), evening temple with chanting and meditation, sacred art in the art cabin, and the gorgeous views. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating of my food allergies, and my fellow guests were all very pleasant. My friend and I stayed in a cabin, which was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. I actually ended up having great phone service (T-mobile) so I was able to check in on my family since this was my first time away from my 2 & 4 year olds, but I took a break from technology, otherwise. The itinerary is packed with so many activities that I chose to slow down halfway through my visit and skipped a few things (sadly, didn’t wake up early enough for fire temple) to ensure that I took time for myself to relax in the gorgeous location that is Shoshoni.

Shoshoni is absolutely magical.
Attended an overnight anytime Retreat and had a blast. The schedule is constructed well and offers many options for any visitors taste.
The vegetarian meals were delicious!
The staff goes above and beyond to know each guests name and special needs that may have (physical, dietary, etc).
The family style set up offers many opportunities to get to know the many people that are coming from various walks of life.
Bring appreciate attire to enter the main Temple and ceremonies. Yoga attire is acceptable in all other areas.

Shoshoni and the people there have been such an inspiration. When I found out about their yoga teacher training a week before it started, with no knowledge of Shoshoni/ShambavAnanda past what I could find on the internet, I jumped in given the great reviews and the fact that they appeared to take yoga seriously. I had no idea I would come out the other side changed for the better as a person, better as a practitioner of yoga asanas, and as someone who finds comfort and learning through meditation and mantra (fairly new to me prior). They also prepared me extremely well as a yoga teacher, and the effect the people there have had on me in 3 weeks has been profound and life changing. I learned so much more than I ever expected at a YTT and I see why they get such good reviews. I now see yoga as a way to be a better version of myself (and for my future students) mentally, spiritually, and physically, at a very fundamental level, and not just as a way to stay in shape and be flexible. I said that they take yoga "seriously"- and they do- but always with laughter, plenty of breaks, activities, and always modify/accommodate.

The food is incredible and made by the instructors who are also the staff; it is clearly made fresh and with love. They are also extremely accommodating and helpful, and again just inspiring and wonderful humans to be around and spend time with. The hiking trails nearby are well marked and take you to fantastic vistas, right from the lodge. I didn't have a car and probably hiked more than anyone when I was there, so access is great. Mats, yoga props, bath towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/water/fruit are always available, there's a hot tub and sauna that are well maintained... I can't say anything negative about this place. I have a loving family back home and I missed them terribly, but I was sad to leave Shoshoni. I will be back one day, I hope. If you have the opportunity to do a weekend retreat, or YTT or mediation training here, you should jump at the opportunity. I'm glad I did. ❤️

Shoshoni is my favorite place on Earth! I've been visiting for 12 years on yoga retreats and as a work study student.

The meditation practices keep me coming back, because they are real and authentic. My life is so much better when I meditate and Shoshoni taught me how.

I love the lovingly prepared food, the kind residents and teachers, the beautiful temples filled with sacred art, and the sweet dogs who will hike with you on the trails of the 200-acre property.

Remember a headlamp, snow boots, scarf & mittens, long skirts or dress slacks for temple, and a swim suit for the sauna and hot tub.

Only AT&T has service and there's wi-fi in all the buildings, but do yourself a favor and put your email on out of office, put your phone on airplane mode, and tell loved ones to call the office if they really need to reach you.

This is the perfect place for introverts and highly sensitive people to unwind and turn their attention inside.

BOOT CAMP MADNESS

After two months of nearly daily attendance, my attendance this month was spotty due to an injury and personal reasons. Eventhough I wasn't able to attend regularly, Carlos was paid up front for july dues. Today out of the blue he texts and says he assumes I'm not coming back and to remove myself from the chat group.

I had intended to return this Thursday and had a check ready to go for August.  Very unprofessional to make an assumption and tell me to leave in one text without even asking what my situation is. People have lives. People get injured. He seemed understanding of that until this random and unprompted text.

I’ve never really been a workout person but BCM is really fun, it’s always different , and it’s super welcoming.

Visiting Angels

The staff here is great and you can tell they really care about their clients. Very genuine good people here. Highly recommend!

As an employee of this office's Third Party Bookkeeping company, I can speak to their professionalism and prompt response to questions and concerns. Business dealings tell you alot about people: what their priorities are and what level of integrity you can expect to witness. I can confidently rate this agency a 5/5 on each of these capacities.

I have been an employee for a year and a half and have enjoyed every minute. Visiting Angels is a great company and cares about their employees and clients. They go above and beyond and I wouldn't want to work for anyone else. I love my job and our director, our staff, are some of the best people I've ever met.

I moved to Texas August last year and started working with Visiting Angels 3 days after I moved here. Been with them since. Great company. Not only do they go above and beyond for their clients, but they do for their caregivers as well. They do their best to pair you with someone that you’ll see as a best friend rather than a client. They create friendships and family, not just a job.

I highly recommend Visiting Angels Amarillo. We needed help with my husbands mother. We called and received help right away. The Lady who was sent was kind, gentle and very caring. We couldn’t have asked for better care.

Fun City

A fun place for kids.  Know it's expensive,  but the kids will have lots of fun.  Big slide, bungee jump,  bumper cars, 2 putt putt courses,  arcade,  bumper boats,  go carts.

Pretty decent way to kill a couple hours; HOWEVER, your money is going to go FAST! The cheapest “ride” is going on the huge slides, but each time down is $2/person and it’s seriously over in seconds. Mini golf is about $9/person for 18 holes and go carts are $10/person for 5 or so laps. You can easily blow through $100 in an hour.

I’ve been coming to Estes Park on vacations for years and every time I come by Fun City. This trip I have to compliment them on a much better upkeep than in previous years. For one, it looks like the mini golf carpets have been replaced since the last time, which is a vast improvement alone. They’ve also added some gold panning and a water ball thing where you go into a huge inflatable ball and go into a pool.

My only complaint this go round is that the mini golf could’ve been improved even more. Pine needles and leaves are everywhere and I don’t think it would take much more than a leaf blower to clear the courses a bit better. Also, the water features are all dirty and full of debris. Not a deal breaker, but maybe a touch more attention for the expense customers are paying.

Great place with friendly staff. All 4 kids in our group loved it, and said it was their favorite part of the trip. Even the dads had fun on the go-carts and mini-golf. We ended up going here at least once a day while we were in town. Bonus: the bathrooms were very clean too.

This place was so accommodating and fun!! the Slide was an easy hit, the go-karts and bumper boats were a blast, there's so many more options for all ages. The facilities were well taken care of and we will be back!! Thanks to the Davis owners for great customer service!

Been coming here for years and always had a great time. Really surprised how they’ve shortened the time in the water balls & the Bungee Jump time is ridiculous for the price. Barely got to the right angle for the video and it was over. Five jumps. 🤨 No one in line, and they’re asking for tips. My tip went back in my wallet.
Nice park & fun stuff to do but when you increase prices and shorten activities it’s disappointing!!

Ivo Bekavac, MD, PhD

I am beyond pleased with his treatment. He discovered that some of my issues were from severe vitamin deficiencies and provided me with good information as to why my memory has declined since being on a heart/machine for open heart surgery. He tells it like it is and might not always come across as warm and fuzzy but he is very good at what he does. Highly recommended!

Everyone else was so kind, professional, and helpful  at Dr. Bekavac's office including Dr. Bekavac. I highly  recommend him to anyone who would need his services in this field.

Initial appointment was very thorough and productive.
The follow up appointment for MRI results was disorganized, lasted 3 minutes, and left me confused. When they could not initially locate the results, I knew Dr. B had not seen it yet, and his quick explanations made me uneasy.
I’m now set up for orthopedic surgery, but I’m not certain it’s the best option.

Always friendly staff who genuinely care about their patients. They are always willing to visit and show interest in your life and health.

Dr Bekavac has been very helpful with managing my restless leg syndrome.  He has my on a medication that is well studied and has little side effects.

Amarillo Fit body Boot Camp

Coaches are encouraging and motivating. The workouts get the heart rate going and I love that I don't have to write them! The coaches have also helped me with nutrition changes and a more balanced healthy lifestyle. I also love that the workouts are 30-45 minutes so it's easier to get in and get on with my day. If I could give 6 stars I would!

I went to AFBBC for a free trial session last month, signed up same day and haven’t looked back since. The coaches are great and the workouts are different each day. I finally feel like I can reach some long overdue goals with their knowledge and guidance without feeling inferior. I’d recommend again and again!

I joined wanting to build strength and obviously lose some weight. I've been going 5 days every week, and I absolutely LOVE it. The workout is planned and the coaches guide you through the 30 minutes. I wish I found this sooner instead of feeling hopeless and lost in what to do in a regular gym.

Great place to work out!  Love the coaches and the style of workout. Love that it’s different every day and challenging for both the already fit and the trying to get fit!  Highly recommended!

I love Fit Body Boot Camp! This place is so welcoming and accommodating to everyone who walks in! I love seeing all the different body types come together to work hard and have fun! Highly recommend!

Cedar Valley SportsPlex

This place has all you need. Two great, massive soccer/American football fields, lockers, weight lifting room, treadmill room, two tennis/volleyball courts, one track field, and a swimming pool with lap swim and waterslides. The track field is very nice, it has a lane for jogging and one for walking. You can look out of the wide windows while jogging. The pool is very cheap and is good for kids. The gym is in great condition. Would recommend getting monthly pass if you are planning to go there often.

We went to a football tournament here. There were a lot of areas to sit and watch. The facility was clean and easy to get to with parking right across the street.  They had basketball courts and a fun looking pool that was having a birthday party. We did not use the pool.

Had a birthday party and it was very nice and plenty of space the kids had a blast on the playground equipment p

Mondays and Thursdays mayor's League youth basketball from 5:30 to maybe 9:00 good competition fun to watch

My only concern was how far away everything was and there were only paths in front of the complex but not through it. You definitely need a wagon if you are carrying things here because it's a long walk to the back fields.

Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC)

We just spent two days at the hospital with my dad.  E R professionals were great.  Mrs. Gedney and her staff were superb.  Everything was clean and neat.  The food was excellent.  I am so thankful for the care he received.

My husband got a terrible infection and needed to be on IV antibiotics for several days. The staff there were exceptional. Everyone we met seemed happy and upbeat, that helped with his mood a lot. His room was clean, he was happy with his meals, everyone was professional and courteous.
We couldn't be happier with the whole experience, especially during a time I was in crisis mode because my husband was sick and I couldn't do anything to help him.

I was visiting family in Iowa when my sciatica flared up. I went to the Washington County Hospital ER. I cannot say enough good about my experience there. From the kind and cheerful greeters who checked me in, to the doctor and everyone that dealt with me, the service was excellent. I was in and out in a short time, too. Thank you for the help you gave me during my visit!

All the people at this Clinic were awesome. Dr Ashby and his staff were very professional and very in tune to my needs and getting a solution to my illness.

Was here at Er twice...will NEVER  walk in those doors again!! I am talking to someone about the way I was treated, I still have pain. ..I would actually give them 0 stars
