I love this salon! Its clean and decorated really nice! This is only the 2nd time I've been here. And this is the 2nd time I've ever gotten my hair done. They did so good the first time,7 years ago, I didn't want to try anywhere else,and I'm so happy with my decision! My hair again turned out really nice. The girls are all very knowledgeable about what they're doing and do amazing work! My mother in law went today to get her done and she looks amazing!! You can also get your eyebrows done here and eyelashes. Definitely 5☆

I would recommend this salon to anyone. Me and my daughter go here and love the way our hair comes out. We have had Savannah, stephanie, Chelsea , and jenna. They are all amazing talented nice women. They are very kind and professional.

Generally when you treat a client you help them find solutions to the problems that arise during the service.

In my experience, this establishment is one of those that will tell you lies to deceive you and lead you to very high prices. Where they will not provide you with the expected service.

Once paid, you will have to get tangled up in rules that will start to make you senseless. Hours without tolerance, reservations with long waiting times, and where you will have to do everything through a phone call service.

If you want to avoid problems and receive the service you are paying for, consider very seriously that any other place will give you much more things for the same price.

Honestly, it is the worst place to have a laser, the branches do not have a fixed number so you cannot communicate, you can only communicate through the app and they take hours to answer and never solve the problems and sometimes they do not even pull their application! Besides, it's been 2 years and 3 months and they haven't been able to discharge me! Terrible service

I do not recommend it, the only thing they do is steal your money, I never notice changes and in reality it does not work with each session you attend, they tell you that they got a “coupon” for more areas at an affordable price and they get very insistent and do not know how to take a “NO” as an answer

Blo Blow Dry Bar

I needed to travel for work for a couple days and decided I’d try a blow out so I didn’t have to contend with my hair while trying to represent my company. It ended up working out perfectly!

Breona washed and styled my hair perfectly in way less time than I thought it would take, and it stayed looking good for my work conference. Would definitely do this again both for special occasions and also just for when my hair needs a treat. 😁

The staff was very accommodating to work with me on unique timeslots for my daugher and my blow out for family pictures which I truly appreciated. Lisa and Olga were rockstars- got us in and out with time to spare for pictures, Lisa made my hair look amazing and Olga is a makeup magician (as well as curling my 4year old's hair and making her feel like a princess!) My daughter still talks about her visit and how pretty she felt - thank you all for making us feel beautiful, we will be back!

Hayley at Blo Blow Dry Bar was absolutely fantastic! She made sure my curls would fall at the perfect time in the day so they turned out perfect for my photos I had planned. My make up was AMAZING and lasted all day long into the night. I got my make up done by 12 pm and it was still on and beautiful at 10 PM. She made me feel comfortable and was able to customize any styles or choices I wanted. Highly recommend them and Hayley!

This was the best blow-out I’ve ever had. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would! Shawny at Blo Lake Norman was a total wizard with my thick, coarse, curly hair! I can’t wait to go back!

LOVED my time here today. Best blow out I’ve ever had. I just closed my eyes the entire time and loved the girl who did my hair. She really took care of my hair and was super kind. I didn’t feel pressured to talk or chat with her. I was able to just enjoy the hair service. Just want this new mom wanted! Thank you a million!!

Drybar Birkdale Village

I came in for a blow out 3 times between October and November. Unfortunately each time the service I received decreased in quality. I left having to redo my hair myself the last time due to overuse of product. This made me reach out to Drybar through their website which was less than helpful. They couldn’t offer so much as a credit on my account for a service (scalp massage) I never received which just made things worse. Most of the staff is extremely nice and welcoming, but I can’t justify wasting my money here again.

The salon is beautiful and bright and the staff members are energetic and kind. The neighborhood is exciting. There's plenty of parking. I'm going to be a regular here!

I was very excited to try Drybar. I’ve always wanted to go. But I am a bit let down. I paid $25 extra for the Crown Tonic. When I got home, I saw a scalp massage was supposed to be included, however, I did not receive this. While my hair looks nice, I feel a bit cheated out of an experience that was supposed to be included.

I came and got a blow out because Dry bar had a ribbon cutting with the lake Norman chamber of commerce, and it was an absolute amazing experience, I felt sooooooo fancy! They offered me champagne and took great care of me so much fun! Definitely fun with your girlies or just a nice escape!

I had very bad experience at dry bar birkdale a month ago. I was very excited to try dry bar for the first time since they just opened up. I thought of taking their 35$ service where I will wash my hair on my own and stylist will blow dry it. But after reaching there I found out that they cant use hair dryer and are only allowed to use curling iron for this service. I kept telling the stylist that I need bounce in my hair and want loose curls but unfortunately their stylist had no idea what she was doing. It was like I was sitting in Aveda school salon and hair dresser is calling master stylist again and again for help !!! It took her almost 2 hours to style my hair and that also not what I was expecting. This was my first and last visit to Dry bar !!!!

Blow Out! Beauty and Dry Bar

Sadly not what I was expecting for a blowout. Went in for a blowout specifying wanting body at the root and soft curls. The shampoo was wimpy at best. Double shampoo but hardly touched my scalp. Minimal application of products. Not worked into the hair at all, and zero at the root for volume. Blow dry was done and the wet towel was still on my shoulders, dampening the back of my naturally wavy hair. The front still wasn’t dried all the way. I had to specify four times that my hair was still damp in spots. Curling seemed good, but I was turned away from the mirror the whole time so I didn’t realize how flat it was until she was done. There were literally multiple times during this experience that I wanted to just get up and leave. I tried to fix it at home but overall left me really disappointed right before my only holiday party of the year. Two stars are because she started and ended on time and was quite sweet.

For the owner: This is a training issue. The right intent was definitely there, but as if it was her first day doing blowouts. I hate to leave reviews like this and don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. But if I can save someone else from having the same experience then it is worth it.

I love this place! We have come here several times for special occasion hair styling and they always do a phenomenal job! All three hair stylists have been wonderful and my daughter and I are always happy we came here.

This is my absolute favorite salon!! I travel for work and came across this gem when searching for a blowout bar in the area. I have long extensions and I'm very picky with the blowout process. The staff including Courtney and Robbie DID NOT disappoint. They welcomed me with open arms, beautiful smiles and wonderful blowouts EVERY single time I visited them. The careful attention to detail and what I asked for was always perfection. The salon is absolutely beautiful with big comfy chairs and a very clean environment. My hair always looked perfect at the end of my appointment and the blowout lasted me a week each time!  I've been using this salon every time I'm in the area for past two years and never had a bad experience. Their pricing is very reasonable as well.

Secondly, I recently got a brow lamination by Caroline. She is amazing!  She explained the whole process while doing it and answered all my questions. My brows looked amazing afterwards. Caroline is one of the sweetest souls I've ever met. She even remembered to message me and check on me following an important medical procedure I had told her I was having. That was extra special to me. I look forward every time I'm in the area to the pampering I receive at this great salon!

Wanted to get a set of lashes put on for a photoshoot. They were able to get me an appointment quickly and do it same day. The lashes were great and for $16, it was totally worth it.  Highly recommend !

I had to cancel with my original stylist of 8 years due to last minute change of plans and they were able to accommodate me the very next day! I was so satisfied with the results. Jasmine is the best and very knowledgeable about the products she use. I’ll definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend:)

Drybar - Atherton Mill

Parted my hair in the middle when I asked for a side part. Rushed the end because she ran out of time. All of my extensions were showing in the back!! She took the top of my hair and brushed it back to cover the extensions that were showing so it was alike a 60s poof :( she didn’t even use all Of my extensions!  there was no time to fix it as they were booked. This is sad experience

Kimberly was the most incredibly gentle stylist I have ever been to. She did a great job with the styling and listened to exactly what I wanted and needed for an amazing night at the Pink concert. The entire staff were amazing and friendly. Highly highly recommend!!

Hands down the worst blowout I've ever received. Was called in early but ended up waiting until my original appointment time anyway. Then had two different people alternating working on my hair because they were in a rush. Ended up with two different styles on each side of my head. When I called they stated I could come back the next day for a new blowout (by this point it was already 6pm), but would have to pay. Then received an email from their client relations manager who I asked for my credit back. Never received a response.

I love it here- everyone is kind and friendly. Asia has been the best blowout stylist I have been to! And as a bonus, they are often able to accommodate last minute appointments.

The service was amazing!!My stylist name was Kimberly and she was the best!! My hair has never looked better..definitely will be coming back🤩dry bar🔛🔝

Emma and Debbie were so accommodating with our large group and all the changes and permutations we had between the first time I booked the appointments to the day of! They were incredibly patient and understanding.

While I was not at the appointment, my cousins and aunts gushed about how beautiful the salon was and how the stylists were fun, kind, and talented. They were so impressed by how quick and affordable the services were! They loved the experience and looked great at the wedding!

I’m so grateful you made this special event even more special for them. Will definitely recommend you to anyone in town and will have to stop by and treat myself to a blowout sometime! Thank you so much for all your hard work and lovely customer service!

I had Anna.   She was friendly.   She did a great job and she moved quickly.    I also had my clip-in extensions added and she made sure they blended so well and lightly curled them to my liking!  I'll def be back! I forgot to get a better pic.

I have had good experiences with the stylists that has done my hair, the most recent being Cierra. They are friendly, great listeners and I look cute when I leave!

Drybar - Charlotte in SouthPark

I’ve gone to other drybar locations before and have been 100% pleased, and I didn’t want to write a bad review but I am super super annoyed.

The only reason I came was for volume I can’t do at home, I stressed that 10x, volume volume volume. She didn’t even touch my roots. I could’ve done this at home & better, for free.

I’m just thankful I padded my schedule today so I have time to go home & redo it before my event tonight.

Drybar, yes. SouthPark Drybar, no.

My hair looked like a bad joke when I left this place. I had to go home to rewash and style myself. I asked for my money back but that was declined. I really couldn’t believe how bad it was!!!!

Third time wasn't the charm. I used DryBar - Southpark twice before (and got the Mai Tai) and was extremely pleased. I decided to go a third time for a Mai Tai blowout because I had an event that evening. My appointment was at 11 a.m. and by 12 p.m., my hair was frizzy and straight and the blowout was gone. When I got home, I noticed my stylist never even did the back of my hair. When she was shampooing, she was speaking to her friend about wanting to leave early, so I think she was rushing. I was the last one to sit down and the first one to leave. When I looked in the mirror before I left, I liked what I saw (there were two big curls in the front so the illusion of the blowout was there), but then it instantly just fell apart. It was not worth the $55 + 20% tip at all. I've already had to restyle it 1.5 hours later. A huge bummer...I was so looking forward to being pretty tonight, but it won't be the case.

My other two experiences were wonderful - stylist was nice and hair was beautiful. But when you're spending almost $65 - I want all the times to be perfect.

TLDR: Poor job, especially with thick hair, staff turnover is very high and little to no management.
I didn’t want to write this review, but after multiple times reaching out to try to resolve my issue with a manager, it seems this is my only recourse. I visited on April 28th to get a blowout before going on a trip. In the booking notes, I wrote that I have fairly thick hair and requested an experienced stylist. I even let them know at booking that I would be requesting round brush curls, one of the styles on their ‘menu’ (The Southern Comfort). The stylist I was assigned struggled throughout the whole process. She pulled my hair repeatedly during the shampoo and kept fumbling and dropping the round brush during the blowout. She just seemed very inexperienced at what she was doing. After almost an HOUR AND A HALF, she was ‘done’. My hair was only slightly curled at the bottom, very frizzy and with a ton of weird lumps- even crease marks from the clips she used for the Velcro rollers. As I walked to my car, I (tried) to run my hands through my hair and was horrified to find DAMP SPOTS throughout the middle and bottom of my hair near the scalp. By the time I left, they were already closed for the evening. I filled out the survey they email afterwards explaining the experience, which usually prompts an email from a manager, but I still have heard nothing. I called the next day and asked to speak to a manager and the girl took a message- and no one has ever gotten back to me. Don’t waste your time or money here. DryBar does not seem to be able to provide the service and experience they used to- I have been a ‘barfly’ member for years, but will be cancelling to find somewhere else.

I’m a barfly member and really enjoy getting my blowouts at Drybar SP. I see Kaci most often and she does an amazing job executing my styling. I also love seeing Sarah Lee and Jade, as they are excellent as well. Always have a wonderful experience and I look forward to my weekly appointments!
