Blo Blow Dry Bar

My daughter had fairy tinsel put in here and we had such a nice appointment! The stylist was so kind and made it a great first experience.

Took my daughter to Blo Blow Dry Bar for her Homecoming hair and makeup.  They did an amazing job from start to finish!  The stylist started and finished on time, listened to what my daughter wanted and delivered above and beyond, I would definitely recommend a visit for your special occasion, or just because!

Did not have a good experience here. My niece had her first homecoming dance and was rushed in making a decision on her style because the salon was running behind. Mind you, we arrived 10 minutes early to our appointment giving us more than enough time to browse and decide. Were told by our stylist after just moments of looking at the book that if we didn’t make a decision we would not have time for a wash and dry. Likely won’t be back.

I loved my experience here- Brittany was warm, conversational, informational about suggesting product, and really made me feel pretty. So easy to get a last-minute appointment in the clutch, and super convenient for those of us ladies who are not skilled in beautifying ourselves.

as someone who regularly gets blow outs, this was a disaster. I asked for big voluminous curls. My stylist kept drying my hair straight and not making curls with the round brush. i asked her to please use the round brush to make curls and she said she prefers to dry it this way and add curls with a wand. I asked again if she would please use the round brush to make large curls- needless to say, my hair is flat after two hours. I am officiating a wedding and now will have to find another salon and pay for another blow out.

Drybar - Edina

I love the positive attitude of the Edina team! They display the Dyrbar "yellow, sunny" attitude and really try to create a great experience. Alejandro has been my go to and always does a great job, but when he is not available the other team members step up and really work to make sure I'm taken care of and leave happy. I've been a customer for about 2 years and have seen the team continue to strive as they have dealt with turnover and management challenges, which has been hard, and I think has contributed to some low reviews, but I would not rule them out and give them a try. Drybar is a great service and I wish them continued success in 2024!

I've always had a great experience at the Drybar - Edina. Beautiful salon, easy access and the stylists want to do an awesome job for you!!! If you have a weird hair thing (I have a horrible cowlick), let them know so they can work with it.

My recent experience at Drybar Edina fell short, primarily due to the service provider. Unfortunately, the service provider missed the mark on the booked add-ons, leading to an attempted charge at the front desk, and the overall service experience wasn't quite satisfactory.

The hair-washing felt rushed, and the blow-drying was more on the casual side, like a DIY effort at home. Adding to the mix were some comments from the service provider about my hair, questioning its texture and uniqueness which felt a tad inappropriate it was enough to leave me feeling upset for about 70% of the service.

Walked out loving the way my hair turned out, but my hair was pin straight after 2 hours and I had to redo it myself for the event I was going to. My hair can normally hold curls for a long time. I’m not sure why it didn’t hold, maybe the products they use, but for $55 I’d expect the style to last way beyond 2 hours.

Update: dropping to one star - it has been over a month and Drybar never reached out to me like they said they would. Pretty disappointing that they respond to reviews to appear accommodating but do not actually reach out to reviewers.

A friend suggested the Dry Bar to get our hair done the morning of my wedding, 1/14/2023. I read on the website for Drybar that styles took one hour with a braid, otherwise 45 min. There were many great  reviews, so i was excited and hopeful. I arrived 20 min early (8:30 apt) with my daughter and was ecstatic they could start right away since I had a tight schedule before the ceremony.

I had specifically said I have fine hair and that I wanted a small side braid to tuck in pins. The stylist who was assigned to me began working on my hair, and it was going well until the braid. First, she braided up on top of my head, and then it was pretty large and very frizzy looking. The manager was consulted after the stylist realized the positioning of the braid was not correct the first time.

On the 3rd try of my hair, I requested the manager who came out and saw my tears, then listened and did my hair exactly how I wanted. A cute braid for my hair pins with the Southern comfort look. The manager apologized and told me her "stylists all have their different strengths...". I was too upset to ask why I was given someone who wasn't very skilled with braid styles. I never got a picture of how it looked. When I checked out, I saw it had been over 3 hours - 11:15 am.

I was charged for a friend's hair when I said I was only paying for mine and my daughters hair, which I found out when the friend thanked me.  Our ceremony was supposed to start at noon, but it was delayed 50 minutes even though i scrambled whole getting home and ready before going to the site. By the time I got married, all of the hairspray and product that had been put on my hair weighed my hair down to look flat and straight. My wedding was beautiful, and everything was perfect, but the experience at Dry Bar was incredibly disappointing. I would NOT recommend them for any special events or if you expect your hair to look a certain way. Attached is a photo of my husband and I after the ceremony.

The Wow Bar Blow Dry & Style Bar

I had a fantastic experience at The Wow Bar  today and my hair turned out exactly as I envisioned it. I have very fine hair that doesn't typically hold a curl very well and this time, my curls have stayed intact and look great. I really appreciate the time my stylist took to get the look right that I requested and she was kind and helpful. I love how shiny my hair looks! Very smooth booking process and I would definitely come back, next time to have make up done as well. Thanks for a wonderful appointment!

We had a bridal party of 6 come in for hair and makeup - we came in with coffees, food, dresses, bags, and a lot of energy - the GM (Maria I think?) was so gracious and welcoming and made us feel completely at home the whole time- which was great because we were there for 4 hours. One of our party members was late for her appointment and salon staff were extremely flexible and understanding of this. My artist, Dijon, was so fun and so enthusiastic about making me look beautiful. This was a fantastic experience! Thank you WOW bar!

Be very cautious especially if you’re a curly girlie they will make you feel super uncomfortable ;(
Super disheartened by my experience here. I’ve raved about this place for so long and sent a ton of my friends and colleagues. I’ve had some great experiences but the bad experiences blow them out the water. I’m no stranger to blowouts and have gotten my hair done in an hour majority of my visits. Every time it’s taken me longer than an hour I’m always treated terribly. The general manager Marina Rodd told me at check out that I don’t need to book with them anymore. This is the third time I’ve been treated as such. Having 2 stylist do your hair is a very sad and crushing for customers especially when you’re the only one it’s being done to. The style isn’t consistent and the expedite sucks when your head is being pulled in different directions. I now need to wash my hair and get another blowout for my sisters wedding this weekend after I just spent $70. I don’t believe i’ll ever recommend this establishment to anyone agin due to the terrible experiences and terrible treatment. I think I’ll check out the Drybar next time.

Sorry to say but this beauty salon has to be the worst experience ever. Bad service, the blow out  was a joke. The timing was ridiculous ( the charged me for taking forever to wash my short curly hair) I left this salon with a headache from the stress I had there. Worst hair treatment and experience I've ever had - please it's an insult to charge what they did for the service received. The staff are unfriendly and an awful atmosphere. I would never return to this salon even if they offered me a free blow out. Dry bar is where it is at all my sis.

We scheduled for a bridal party and were each given a time slot for hair &makeup. well as weddings days go , our group was running 15 minutes late, this should’ve only affected the services of one of the group who was scheduled at 8am. Unfortunately upon arrival the manager rudely informed me that due to our tardiness my 9am appointment for a wash+blowout+makeup would not be happening. I accepted this and just thought whatever not going to stress i washed my hair the day before. Mind you there was 6 of us getting hair and makeup. We were quoted a price for hair +makeup with a blowout and without. Due to me not getting the blowout my rate should’ve been discounted . When i went to pay i was given the price with a blowout that I didn’t receive.. i paid it thinking boom tip is in there. Nope i was wrong… they contacted the grooms( my brother and his new husband) on their honeymoon to complain about the tips myself and another bridesmaid left… i worked in many customer service jobs and i have never complained about a tip. I wouldn’t be so upset and disappointed with their lack of customer service if it weren’t for their downright rudeness and lack of professionalism along with the fact that my hair fell flat within hours, they didn’t do all our makeup the same as promised during our consultation along with failing to provide me the services promised but still charging me the same rate and expecting even more $$ .The flower girls hair had to be pinned up due to the curls falling out and another bridesmaid had to redo their hair at the venue before the ceremony. I would never go back or recommend this place. Please stay away , they cannot handle large groups, they’re rude and unpleasant . This is not the atmosphere for one of the most exciting days of my life, my brothers wedding day. Thank you for ruining the day and their honeymoon asking for more money, learn to be tactful and pleasant for future customers.

Lizzie is amazing at what she does! My brows look amazing after every wax. She makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable during my waxing appointments. Her salon suite is so cute too. Highly recommend her for any and all body waxing!

Lizzie is the absolute best. I went to her both times for my first lash lift and tint and full Brazilian and LET ME TELL YOU. This lady knows what she’s doing! Im flaunting a new confidence I haven’t had before from these lashes continuing to absolutely pop after 5 weeks now! (If you’ve ever debated doing a lash lift and tint DO IT. Coming out of the shower or waking up with lushes lashes is next level fantastic.) THEN, my Brazilian… freaking spectacular making me comfortable and explaining the process (y’all add that vajacial holy heck I was obsessed). It’s been a week with still no hair growth and she looks BEAUTIFUL and I am obsessed. Posting this review because you all deserve the feel beautiful in your skin and let Elizabeth help with that! Only will go to her from now on! ❤️❤️

European Wax Center

I would 20/10 recommend Samantha as your specialist!! It was my first time there and I had my underarms, upper lip, eyebrows and Brazilian wax. She made me feel really comfortable and ensured me that everything was going to be okay as I was really nervous. I love the fact that she would constantly check in and see if anything else needed some adjustments to make sure it was to my liking. I just felt like I was talking to a friend the entire process. Looking forward to going back there for my next appointment!

Great location. Easy to access and ample parking. Been going here for 5+ years now and see Maria every time. She is super welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Michelle has been doing my Brazilians for 4 months now and she’s amazing! I originally went to a chain wax center for my first time and it was so horrible I almost decided to never get waxed again. A friend recommended her and the experience was nothing like when I went to that other place. She’s quick and the way she waxes you makes it very easy to handle pain wise. If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, go and see Michelle!

I usually avoid waxing because of the insensitive methods used, but wow…I’m so glad I started going to Michelle! I got my bikini line done first and she made it almost painless. I appreciate her methods, calm spirit, quickness, and wealth of information on waxing. I felt so comfortable that I stepped it up this time and got a full Brazilian done. I've been going to Michelle for years! She does such a great job, there's been a few times I've had to go to other businesses for my wax service and the quality doesn't compare to Michelle, she knows what she's doing and does it well! Definitely recommend!

Michelle changed my experience with waxing - I will never go back to an inexperienced wax technician and the unneccessary pain. She is skilled, professional, personable, and always a pleasure to see. Plus their location is convenient in Uptown (with off-street parking even!), clean, and pricing is affordable. I really couldn't ask for anything more!

The best waxing I’ve ever had! I also love their products for the preventative and after care. The products are greatly priced and offer fast results. Ariel is lovely! She was very careful with my skin and it was one of the most comfortable waxes I’ve ever had! (It was bikini area) She’s a kind person and makes you feel welcomed. Very professional and high quality waxing.

I’ve been going to Ariel for a few years for my Brazilian now and let me tell you guys...she is AMAZING. She always takes her time to make sure everything is done right! I always leave feeling so smooth. Never have I gotten a wax like that anywhere else. She removes EVERY hair,  I mean every single one! She’s also very professional while still remaining relatable and easy to talk to. Great wax and conversation in a cute, clean space every time!

I have been going to Ariel for almost  2 years now. I found her on groupon in 2019 and I've been going back to her ever since. She's very quick and clean with her services which makes getting waxes less painful. Having a responsible and kind person service you in such a venerable way is hard to find but Ariel is one of them. She has made getting waxes for me a necessity verse me doing it every blue moon. I love her and the services. I highly recommend her services to all kinds :)

Blast Dry Bar

This is my second time at the salon and Toni is amazing! My hair is all natural, and she did a very great job with helping me maintain my beach curl look throughout this humid weather. My hair feels so soft, silky and light. i just can't wait to get back just for the wash, the knowledge she shares with me in order to maintain my hair in between. She's by far one of the most professional stylest here in MN! Thanks Toni, see you soon.

Toni does an excellent job - I have gone to her for YEARS and every time I have been pleased. She is incredibly thorough with her technique. I have long, thick, coarse, curly hair that takes me approximately 2-2.5 hours to style without processing. That time is reduced to a half an hour after my Brazilian Blowout. Toni is a professional and as such she has limited availability - I book through the online system and confirm with her. I have never had an issue with my appointment time not being met. I HIGHLY recommend her - especially if your hair texture is similar to mine.

They’ll dry quick and do curling with iron only if you’re not super picky with them and ask for a proper blow out with round brushes for that nice bounce… but how they do it is still nice and lasts days (with some dry shampoo)

Blast Dry Bar shares a storage with Salon Abe in NE Minneapolis, above the 331 Club. When you arrived you are greeted by Reese, who is very sweet! Toni does a great blow out, my hair looks gorgeous!!

I went to Blast Dry Bar while in town for a wedding. I was a little nervous booking an appointment site unseen, but my experience was great. Aubri did a fabulous job on my hair and was very professional. The salon is clean and bright, although a little hard to find (it's in Abe Salon).

Drybar - St. Louis - Frontenac

Me and My mom went to get our hair done for a mother and daughter day! We really appreciate MzKay,Tiara,Fantima doing our heart that did an amazing job! They were funny and excellent work. Will definitely come back and hopefully have them as our stylist again ❤️

Raven at Drybar in Frontenac is great! Extremely nice/great personality and a natural when it comes to blowouts/styling. I’m really happy with my experience. I’ve had many blowouts and this has been my best experience by far. Great volume/feels clean and will last days I can already tell.

I called dry bar a week before I had an event. I told them that it was my sons wedding and that I needed a very experienced person to do my hair. They said they would give me one. The girl they gave me was completely inexperienced , she had not been a hair stylist very long and I even question if she even had a license . Her last job had been in a factory. She did a terrible job. The salon charged me more because they said it was an updo. They did offer to redo the hair, but I had wasted so much time on the first hairstyle I had no more time. The charge was 99.00 and the tip suggestions started at 25%, 30% or 35%.  Please never use this dry bar, they lied about the experience of the stylist and it ruined my sons wedding day for me.

Came here for the first time this evening. My hairstylist was sweet and hair turned out beautiful. Within the last 20 minutes of my appointment one of the hairstylists and front desk girl started to argue. Just made me feel a bit uncomfortable and not in a professional environment.

I have been to Drybar probably 5 or 6 times, and have always had a great experience. So when I was planning my wedding, it was a no brainer to have them do my and my bridesmaids wedding day hair! My stylist was Lxe and she made me feel so gorgeous with a perfect Old Fashioned style for my big day! All of my bridesmaids were first-time Drybar guests and loved their experience. Our hair looked amazing (and smelled amazing!) and lasted all day long, even with St. Louis humidity in full force that day. I cannot say enough about how great Drybar is! And a fraction of the price to have your hair styled professionally by other salons that offer bridal party styling.

Blown Away Blow Dry Bar

While I loved going to Blown Away in the past for makeup and special occasion updos, I got a blow out there for the first time at the beginning of the month and was pretty disappointed. I have lots of fine curly hair and asked for a style with some body and wave, and the first thing my stylist did was drag a paddle brush through my curls. The blowout ended looking like my hair was straightened with just a slight curl on the end, and it was really flat (I don’t usually have a problem with body.) I ended up having to go home before my event to do damage control. I asked for no oil-based products and they put Moroccan oil spray in my hair which made my hair look really stringy. Luckily they didn’t put any hairspray in my hair after the blowout so it was easier to fix when I got home.

The positive I will say is that my hair was really soft from the deep condition, and I still liked the atmosphere of the place. I would probably go again for the other services, because those were so good in the past, but I will not be going back for a blowout.

I had a huge industry event where I was giving a speech and we were taking board pictures for the next year.  I wanted a professional look.  Could not have been happier with Joshua's work.  He listened and talked me through what he was doing.  I was in around 3pm and my make up held on beautifully through Midnight.  My look gave me confidence throughout the whole evening. Adam is the best!  He listens and then creates. He has so many wonderful
and creative ideas.   Personal yet professional.  I have difficult, frizzy, baby fine yet thick hair and most stylist don't have his skills to create a smooth, yet full and bouncy style.  I always feel better and more confident after he has created his magic.  Much love and respect sent his way!

I need to give the BIGGEST shoutout to this establishment’s ownership and stylists! My ding dong sister scheduled her appointment for the wrong day. JJ (the owner) was cool, calm, collected, and SO solution oriented. She made us feel like we weren’t the world’s biggest idiots, made us feel right at home, and provided top class service. Now, don’t even get me started on Chevan. The BEST blowout I’ve ever had. She gave me a great wash, great company, and killer curls. My hair lasted for days. This dynamic duo deserves your business. Next time you’re in need of a blowout in STL, this is your place!!!!
