Big Mac & Little Lu's Seafood

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, it boasts the best seafood in the area.
The paella is incredibly flavorful, with a perfect blend of spices and a delightful assortment of seafood.
But the real standout was the grilled calamari; it was absolutely excellent, tender, and bursting with flavor. If you're a seafood enthusiast, this place is a must-visit!

The best seafood in Colorado!!  We started with mussels and oysters both fresh and tasty.  We got the whole main lobster cooked perfectly and a seafood basket with shrimp, scallops, clams etc.  The food was fresh and the flavors amazing.  The menu has so many choices of different types at fish.  A really nice atmosphere with great service.  We are planning our next trip.

Hands down the best seafood place I've been to! I never realized how much of a difference in taste fresh seafood was in comparison to frozen or processed fish. Their food was absolutely amazing! It's been on our list since we saw their episode on Netflix! They did not disappoint! If I came just for this, my whole trip would be worth it.

The waitress did not come back to help. I had to go get a rag from behind the counter from another staff member. It was an awful experience. Staff wasn’t being delivered. Drinks were not brought to the table. Tell us the milk was done things were not refilled. This is my second bad experience at this place due to staff.

Second time here, the first time I came for the Famous hogfish which was wonderful. This time I kept it light with the northwestern clam chowder and then LuLus sweet and spicy shrimp. All was very good. Clean establishment and friendly staff.

Wendy's

Literally the best service I've ever received at a fast food place.  Food was great and the staff was friendly, fast,  and actually seemed happy to be there.  I'm more than happy to drive out of my way to go to this one.

I like 2 Jr. Deluxe cheeseburgers and this Wendy’s has been pretty consistent & good. However, today both of the buns were hard, stale, and cold 😞 maybe check your food before you drive off so you’re not paying a lot for old food.

Ok, I am very happy to say this place was perfect quick stop for us, but we ended up staying a little longer. Big parking area, right next to a park with walking trails. We took the dogs for a walk in the park.
Place was very clean, staff friendly, food was out fast, hot, & good. Our 28’ RV had no problem parking near the back. If you have a bigger RV, park in the HUGE Super Walmart right next to it. Peggy had a great smile & very informative on items on menu.

Terrible customer service.   Started ordering breakfast for entire family at 10:25 am.  While ordering, a tall teenager came out, complained about us ordering breakfast and rolled his eyes. Then after paying at 10:32 am, the manger came up and said it was too late.

Breakfast is supposed to go until 10:30, but these employees are clearly too lazy to care about our business. Won’t be coming back.

Went at 9pm to order a frosty and some fries (had a digital coupon on the rewards app for free fries). After a few minutes at the register waiting to pay we were told at the window that their system was having issues redeeming coupons and to come back tomorrow. When I told them we lived 30 minutes away we were told “I’m sorry” and then had the window closed on us. I was shocked! I get the system having issues, but it would have been so easy to just comp the item that was supposed to be free and take our money for the rest of it. Instead, they didn’t make anything from us. Won’t be returning to this location.

McDonald's

If you want fast food and are in the 8th Street area of Colorado Springs this is the place for you to try; if you have about an hour to waste, don't mind self-service and have the overwhelming urge to feel as though you paid an establishment for burdening them in exchange for a McDouble.

How is it possible that this is the most unorganized, customer-unfriendly McDonald's I have ever set foot in? I would chalk it up to a bad day but I was one of probably three customers dining in my and when I walked in, an employee was moderating two different arguments. Hats off for the multitasking skills, but I would rather them (and I am guessing the patrons ahead felt the same way) be put to use actually preparing meat-disks for indiscriminate palates that need to slam some grub in a hurry!

I ordered at the kiosk (mainly because there were NO employees at the front counter for at least three minutes) and sat down with my numbered table tent.

After 15 minutes (and I was one of two customers in there) I walked up to the counter to see what was going on. No employee greeted me and 4 minutes later (yes, I started timing things at that point because it was laughable) an employee walked up to the shelf in front of me (never acknowledged me) and sat a to-go bag down... Even though I ordered "dine-in" and I could see my table locator number on it! I took the bag but never got my drink cup! Another three minutes and finally someone walked by... I basically had to tackle them to get their attention for a drink cup!!

19... That's not a typo, nineteen minutes to get a McDouble and another three or so for my drink cup. They didn't bring the order to my table, acknowledge me, tell me to kiss their *ss, NOTHING! It was like it was run by a bunch of zombies; at about the same speed!!!

I could have went to a local diner and had a steak cooked and plated in this amount of time!!!

Do... Better... You can't possibly do any worse.

I go to get the big mac I was craving all day long and this is what I received. Downright disgusting and disrespectful, this was not an accident. If youre a mcdonalds employee who’s taking out their frustrations on big macs. go to therapy.

The chicken nuggets tasted fresh, the drinks were tasty. I had the fish sandwich and it actually had a decent amount of sauce on it, plus tomato it off the fish was cooked as it should have been( actually a first for me from any McDonald's. ) Great job.

We got cussed out like a half hour before closing by some lady who said she wasn’t serving us. We just got into town late, and we just wanted a burger. He saw like three kids in the playroom so we figured it was still open. Guess not. Probably best we didn’t get food there, blessing in disguise.

24 mins to get 2 mcribs no pickle. Forgot to give my change. Bun toasted on the outside no bbq sauce and oh my favorite pickles. They almost know what they should be doing second sandwich lots of sauce.  Bun toasted on the correct side. Almost had it but no onions. Bite into it cold and UNCOOKED!

Pizza Hut Express

Ordered the loaded nacho burger. It was fantastic. Fries are always good. Also tried the pumpkin spice frosty for the first time. Not a fan. Tasted fake, artificial. But the burger was a gem. Will order that again for sure.

Was having a bummer of a day. Late night driving home and found myself craving a burger. Whoever was working tonight greeting the drive through deserves a raise. He brightened my spirit and left me with a smile. And even more so the burger was absolute perfection and hit the spot. The only thing to add is my fries. Well. They were not fresh. Shockingly the first fry disappointment at any Wendy’s. Overall. Exceeded expectations from the service to that fresh burger.

Arrived at drive thru for a mobile order, my husband said he had a mobile order and we just stood there for about a minute. My husband said again 'Hi I have a mobile order" and the employee proceeded to say " How am I suppose to know about your order if you don't tell me your name". We didn't think anything of it until we went to the window to pick up our food, the employee almost tossed our food through the window without saying anything or asking if we needed any condiments. It was a very weird interaction, it almost felt like he didn't want to be there or give us service.

I love Wendy's, a little pricey but the taste for me is worth it

To start off when i was ordering through the drive through the workers thought it would be funny to make weird female voices while taking my order. When i went to collect my food, there was no woman. When i received my food my bread on my hamburger was hard. Then while eating my food i found a used cigarette in my food. I was disgusted and couldn’t finish my food. I will never eat at any wendy’s ever again. I should’ve went to Chick-fil-A.

Beware! Yesterday September 27, 2022 I went into cash a paper lottery ticket at 8 o’clock in the morning and an older Asian woman intentionally took my lottery winnings. I contacted the Denver Police Department as well as the Colorado lottery because not only did she steal money from me she is out of compliance with the state Because she intentionally camouflages the prize winning display. This woman is evil because she pride herself on calling out thieves by printing their pictures on the front door of her business yet she is stealing somebody who came in and treated her with respect and I smiled at her and she took for me.  I’ve already been told by the Colorado lottery that my winnings will be mailed to me and they will be dealing with this but I’m telling you folks, I get the feeling that this happens all the time and we never hear about it and the police never do anything about it. If you go into a store and there’s no self check to tell you how much you actually one don’t use them and report them.

We need more people in the world like the family that operates this Shell station. They are true professionals, kind, caring, and diligent in their service. Could not ask for a better local gas station & convenience store. Great selection of snacks, beer/liquor, tobacco, and everyday necessities.

P.S. to anyone complaining about their gas prices - they are located directly off a major interstate, so obviously they are going to charge a premium for their prime location & convenience factor. Turn your brain on.

Do not use the air pump machine at this gas station, went and used it and it said it was $1.50 the next day I got a “tip” added to the total of another $0.25. I’m not upset about the $0.25 it’s the point that if they do this every time someone is using the air pump they are gonna steal a lot of money from people just trying to put air in there tires. Will never return!

I’ve been coming to here for years now and the staff is always so friendly and helpful! They have a great selection of items as well.

Chick-fil-A

Got all the way home to realize I wasn't given my drink but also the grilled gluten-free sandwich I ordered was breaded with a grilled sticker. As much as I would LOVE to eat the breaded one, I can't.  This is the 1st time I have ever been so very disappointed by Chick-fil-A

Took a bite out of my Spicy Chicken Sandwich and felt something hard in the chicken, after chewing some more I spit it out to find this piece of metal!! It looks sanitary but I almost chipped a tooth and now don’t trust their sandwich’s!

Slow drive thru cashier. Got the order wrong. Had to back in to correct the sauce. Then get back to the car to discover no fork. Awesome management here as drive thru cashiers stand near the speaker taking no orders and management can’t be bothered to check the orders before they hand the bad to the customer at the window. Huge failure. Oh, and my lunch is timed and limited. A little care goes a long way.

This is our local Chick-fil-A, never had a bad experience before till today. Don't know what happened with the handling of the food but my husband normally orders the Cobb salad, unfortunately this time he got food poisoning. After this I don't see us returning to this location again.

Chicken sandwich dripping grease, soggy bun. Disgusting, couldn't eat.   Frosted lemonade had chunks in it,  couldn't drink. Waste of money.  Contacted customer service and the response was "we'll try to do better next time".   This company doesn't stand behind their food quality and willing to sell garbage.   Don't waste your money here.

Ordered for delivery. They made the order and let it sit for 20 minutes before pickup. When I called to see if they would make it fresh the guy who answered the phone said it was DoorDash’s issue. And if they thought it wasn’t fresh, THEY could ask to have it remade. So I called my dasher. He was happy to oblige because by the time he got there, the food and frozen drinks had been sitting for 30 minutes. Flash forward to delivery… see the pic attached. This is our “30”count nuggets. 20 fried strings of fat at best. My earlier review 3 stars. Now they get one for being spiteful a-holes. Chick fil a has always had such quality service. This location has always been sub par. Slow drive through. Always forgetting items. Rude staff. And now this. Give this franchise store to new ownership, chick fil a. They clearly have low standards.

Chick-fil-A is always good, consistent, and has great service. The restaurant is always clean, even with a steady flow of customers.

I find it helpful to do the pull-in parking to pick it up. Seems to go a little easier than drive through. Drive thru, pullin pick up, and dine-in are all good options.

Don't forget to use their rewards program for free items. Can't go wrong with a milkshake or yogurt parfait with granola!

Ordered a milkshake. Realized I was given a different flavor. Spoke with the manager. Drove back and was handed the correct shake. If you make a customer come all the way back, (40 mins in total with two round-trips) you should probably give them something in addition for the inconvenience. This used to be an incredibly well-run location. Reading some of the recent reviews, I see others are seeing the same decline in service.

This restaurant has been a staple for my family and I. I have noticed the service here at this location deteriorating over the last year. After my experience last night we will no longer spend our money there. I arrived in line at the drive thru @ 8:07pm. Finally received my food @ the window @ 8:25. I decided to eat my dinner in the parking lot. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a fry. I was asked while ordering if I wanted any condiments. I asked for ketchup...the employee asked if 2 was sufficient. I agreed. When I finally arrived at the window they handed me my bag. I looked inside and saw no ketchup. Before driving away I asked politely for some ketchup. I was told it should have been in the bag. I informed the employee there was not any provided. I did not realize at that time that my bag included a box of chicken stios only...not my order. I waited patiently for 18 minutes to have my order be wrong. I went into the di ING area to get the right order. The kids working in this store were not the polite employees I was used to. I decided to get a refund based on that fact. I asked the employee doing my fefund if there was any information posted about the franchisee. He said there was not. Thus why I have taken the time to post on this medium. I want others to know what my experience  was.

We waited for about 25 minutes inside to get our order to go and then when we finally did get our food it was not as hot as it should have been for us waiting for it to be made fresh. The order line was slightly confusing because it was placed so close to the pickup for online orders and Catering so that was a little confusing but I will say the lady that did take our order she was super nice and friendly and if I were to go back there it would be just because of her she did such a great job i wish i grabbed her name.

*edit* The people here purchase SANTIAGOS burritos and only sell half to the public. The older men continue to hide the burritos under the papers in the warmer. When myself and other customers take those, he refuses to sell them and says “they aren’t for sale”. Absolutely ridiculous, buy them for yourselves then and keep them out of sight!!! I am absolutely sick of the ignorance and inadequate service here!! I gave them a second chance only to see them ripping SANTIAGOS off as well as their own customers. SAD PLACE!!!

People running this store are nice but extremely incompetent. Waited in a line of 13 people today.

Reasonable pricing. The guy that always works there is chill. Every time I'm in here its always a super fast trip.

Love it! Can't go wrong eating here! Everything on the menu is great and fresh! I always get the cool chicken wrap w/ avocado ranch and lemonade light ice because I could possibly drink the whole container lol

You order a large fry and you get a medium, no sense in ordering a bigger fry if they’re going to give you a regular fry anyway. Seems to be a recurring issue with this location. People like to get what they pay for. It’s not our fault you don’t want to make more fries at 7:45PM…

Love this place! Employees are always nice and helpful.  Food is fresh!!!  Best chick fil-a in the area!!!

It was snowing pretty good and we went through the drive thru. We were directed to the lane away from the menu board. We asked the guy for a menu and he went inside to get us a menu.
Everyone was pleasant and the food was good.
