Visiting Angels

When my dear mom was placed in hospice, I knew I would need more help. She had lived with my husband and I over three years. She had Alzheimer’s, and was going downhill quickly. I contacted Mr. Clayborn and he came out to do an assessment for mom. I felt confident hiring his agency to provide loving and compassionate care for my mom. Karyn was mom‘s caregiver. She came every day to help me take care of mom. She spoke to her in a sweet voice like she was her own mother. She helped me with the tough jobs and then would give me a break when I needed a few minutes to myself. Karyn was there with me with mom until the very last minute. I’m so grateful for the companionship and the comfort she provided in the last month of mom‘s life.

The only downside is the payment method. They require you to put payment on a credit card and are supposed to wait for you to approve the Invoice before they put it on the credit card. That didn’t always happen with me. You just have to be on top of it.

These people are wonderful to work with. The Angels that came to help my mother-in-law were so caring and went over and above what they needed to do. Carol and Montana were wonderful and Karyn, our most recent Angel is just fantastic. They quickly become like family.

Visiting Angels has been taking care of our Mum for the past year and a half. They have provided caring and compassionate care and we wouldn’t have made it through this time without them!

Being a caregiver for a senior let’s the person stay in their own home comfortably. Getting to listen to stories of their lives and keep up with their care as I wish some of my family members would have had available not to be alone at home or stay in the hospital lonely. I get comfort when I get a smile starting my shift or ending my shift and when they ask when I am back for my next shift. Very comforting employment.

I had such a wonderful time working with Visiting Angels. They are flexible and you get as many or as little hours as you like. I have lots of respect for the purpose of Visiting Angels. My journey as a caregiver is one I will never forget. Thank you Dan and Felecia for the opportunity.

Falafel Express

The food was so fresh tasting and bursting with flavor! Some of the best hummus I've ever had. Sauces were delicious. Staff was very friendly.

We come here several times a month. The food is fresh and delicious. My arabic friend always happy to eat here w my daughter and I. They get the chicken shawarma wrap. I get the kids bowl. The hummus, baba ghanoush, pita & tahini are a must with every visit.

This is the best middle eastern food I have eaten in the United States! I enjoy trying halal foods in every major city that I visit, this place definitely has the best food and customer service. Even compared to Detroit, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, this is the most fresh and tasty food for the money. Riya was top notch in customer service and the food was so good that we had to order a second meal to take home. You should definitely try the Saffron cake when you go there!

This place was awesome. We drive 30 minutes just to go here. The rice is so good and the Safron cake almost caused a fight between me and my daughter. The owner is so kind and helped me decide what to get while dealing with tooth pain. Food is fresh and service is quick. Its a small space so dining room fills up quick.

This place is straight up a gem! The young ladies working there tonight were so sweet and friendly. I asked for some topping and sauce recommendations on my custom wrap that they would recommend. My custom wrap came out tasting absolutely amazing. I addition to my wrap, the sweet young lady who took my order brought us water and their house blend tea, without us even having asked. Then she brought us a free side of hummus. Everything there was so flavorful and fresh. I would highly recommend. This will be one of my new go to spots.

Made in the Shade Blinds & More Leawood

Very happy with outdoor mechanical sun shade for under the deck. The whole experience was great! Jeremy came out gave us a quote, timeline and expectations. He did a thorough job of explaining options and process. Very easy to work with. Would highly recommend

These are very high-quality curtains. At first were not happy with the installation, but Jeremy made plans for repair.  As soon as he heard about this, he reached out and has made arrangements to repair the problem for us.
He is very professional and when there was a problem he made things right.

Jeremy was able to help us figure out the best options for the windows at our office that were not efficient and economical. The attention to details from Jeremy, Aubri and the installer was much appreciated. We love our blinds!

Jeremy did a wonderful job adjusting our closet sliding doors.  He was very prompt and professional.  Also, Made in the Shade made and installed our living room Vertical Blinds and they are just beautiful.

Da Poke Wagon

Absolutely perfect!  We love poke and try it almost everywhere we go. This poke is just as good as the best places in Hawaii.  The fish quality is by far the best we’ve had in Kansas City! Thank you so much and we’ll be following the truck closely everywhere it goes! The poke didn’t last long enough to take a picture

Very yummy!   Gluten allergy and worked with me to customize my bowl.   Healthy and refreshing!

Bad business at this store dude gave me quarters for the air pump put quarters in Air pump air pump did not come on Told dude in store he said nothing he can do because he don’t own the Machine

stay away from this gas station unless its an emergency! place is a total scam! if you use a card they scim your money and overcharge you.

They deliberately scam your fuel rewards. Their gas pumps will use up any fuel reward or hyvee points you have then reset and not discount the gas. This appears to be deliberate because it is on all the pumps and the staff will not help.

I cannot go to this gas station customer service sucks because it's in a different language & when you swipe your card they'll hold your transactions for days. They need to fix their systems or close it down

So disgusting! The place always smells bad. Food is expired and moldy. The cashier is always talking on his phone and completely ignores customers.

BODYBAR Pilates - Downtown Kansas City

Joined BodyBar Pilates KC 7 months ago because I was dealing with back pain for several years and heard Pilates was good for improving core muscles and decrease back pain.
After several classes my back pain started to go away and after almost 100 classes I continue to improve posture and core stability pain free.
The trainers make sure we are doing the right movements, with correct posture, guiding us and providing alternative moves if needed.
My mom visited from Argentina and decided to take some pilates classes, she doesn't speak any english, so she felt uncomfortable at first and after meeting the staff she felt welcomed and had a great time. The trainers made sure she understood the exercises and guided her when needed. Veronica & Kortney Thanks.

Overall: great parking, place is clean, staff is super friendly, trainers are awesome, variety of classes from classic to intense.

I came in for a trial class and loved this studio- it has a parking lot in front which is nice for convenience downtown. The studio itself is very clean, & I loved the motivational sayings on the wall. The staff was friendly and luckily they weren’t pushy like other gyms I’ve tried.

The only downside for me, my hearing is a little bad and the microphone the instructors use was difficult for me to hear at times.

So glad a friend brought me in to try my first class free, because I am full blown addicted!!! It’s a beautiful sparkling clean studio, ample parking in the lot, every single person that works there is super kind and welcoming, and most of all I feel incredible after a class. The instructors are really great about demonstrating how the machines work, explaining exercises, and offering adjustments to make things easier or more challenging depending on your needs and so you don’t feel intimidated. I love how inclusive it is and such an incredible workout that gives results for every body type. The offer different membership options from drop in classes up to unlimited and the app is super easy to find and book classes (and I love that I can add it to my personal calendar). They have well-stocked bathrooms and tons of cute clothes in case you ever need anything. Plus, I love supporting a local woman-owned business!

10/10 recommend coming to Bodybar, if I could give a 6th star I would!
Coming from a lifting background, I was always under the impression that Pilates wasn’t going to be a good enough workout, after one workout my perspective drastically changed. I have now been coming to the studio for about 6 months now and I absolutely love not only the classes but the incredible team that works here. Truly, the only downside to coming to this studio for me is that none of my clothes fit anymore! If you commit yourself you will absolutely see and feel the results!

BODYBAR Pilates has become my second home. Talk about a great studio, phenomenal instructors and amazing classes. The studio is so clean and all classes offer something different. Try the new power tower class if you get the chance, such a great addition to the other reformer classes offered. You won’t be disappointed at the at the “BAR!”

Pretty nice selection of good products. The cashier seemed to have a working knowledge of what was being sold. I'd have given them a 5 had he not roped me into a monthly "Routines" membership that not only costs money every month but sends me stuff. No real, up front explanation that I was being signed up for it or nothing, very not kosher for me.  Probably had better encourage your employees to be more honest in their dealing, not snakey. Honestly, I won't go back to that store. Otherwise the store and it's selection of products and price would be worthy of repeat business.

I don’t typically review places - but my experience here was honestly fantastic. Aaron worked with me and I felt like I was shopping with a friend. I asked questions (I’m very much a beginner when it comes to supplements) and he was very kind and helped SO much! Such a sweet guy!

Staff was very helpful& knowledgeable about products in the store. Answered our question an explained differences in certain products as well as primary use for them. We were at the Westport area store an Austin is a great guy. We will be repeat customers!

These are my guys! They know their products very well. I've been able to get into a groove of catching things that are on clearance there and that's been great. They'll take time to answer your questions about products or find products that meet your needs as long as they aren't too busy. Most recently I was able to stock up on OrganIQ vegan protein powder that was on clearance and over the course of the next few months I will have saved a lot of money buying on the discounted bulk. I hope the team they currently have stays there for a good while

Very knowledgeable staff!  I come here often, never feeling pressured to buy extra or more than I need.  All of the recommendations I've received from the staff here have been extremely beneficial.

The Big Biscuit

Full disclosure, I am not a breakfast person, however the restaurant won me over with their fluffy biscuits that have the foundation to support any filling you choose to elevate your experience.

I love the fact that you could order their award winning biscuits as a full order (2 biscuits) or a quarter (half a biscuit) topped with sausage gravy depending on your hunger level.

I decided to order the Yard Bird which is one of their signature dishes.  It came with a side of has browns, a hearty piece of fried chicken that placed between the biscuit slices.

Join the online waitlist before you go.  The wait can be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour depending on the time of day.

New Year’s Day we waited about an hour, this  was a  very busy day  for the wait staff and they handled it beautifully! Manager kept everyone upbeat as they waited. Just the biscuits alone will fill you up and they are delicious! This is a must for the food! We even took some home with us back to Iowa.

Only my second time here. make sure you're all the way checked in on the tablet 😆 but food was really good and our server Riley was super nice and helpful. this is a nice location just a little cold by the door but it is December.

A huge great breakfast!! Very good food. Very fast service. Just right before a day in KC.

Biscuits and gravy were good and large amount with the full order. Potatoes and scrambled eggs what you'd expect. The egg white omelet was in the healthy choices section but absolutely drenched in butter. Request low or no butter if you are watching fats or you might as well just get the whole egg.
I enjoyed the fact coffee was served with the carafe at the table so you could refill your cup 3 or 4 times from the carafe without having to ask for a refill.

I had a fabulous intro stretch at Stretch Lab Leawood with Jonah. He was great about walking me through all of the assisted stretches, educating me about each one along the way. The manager, Taylor, also provided great service and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

I had my 1st one hour stretch with Ashley and wow was it amazing.
Ashley was very attentive to my needs, gathered my historical procedures, and provided a very relaxing feeling for my whole body
