I loved the attention, a very clean place, excellent service from Maricruz who was the one who treated me, I had an ingrown nail and while she was doing her work after having applied Lidocaine to the affected part I thought it wouldn't hurt to extract the nail ....... But yesssss it hurt a lot, my question is.... Couldn't they put a stronger anesthetic to avoid the pain?

My mother fell while dancing at a party a week before we set an appointment with Dr. Atenolov. Our Primary doctor referred us to his clinic to have my mother seen with regards to her balance and back pain issues. I called the clinic and they were able to take us in within 2 days. My mother can’t stand on her 1 foot without wobbling. She has low back pain radiating to back of her thighs and numbness on her feet. For years she said it feels like she wearing socks even though she’s not. When we came to the office, Dr. Atenolov explained what he does, what does his clinic work on. The PT and OT for my Mom will be individualized. I took my father in his clinic too to check for his slow gait as he had previous stroke before. During the consult, my Mom can stand on her one foot within 4 secs. and she was wobbly while doing that. My Mom was prescribed to do PT and OT for 8 weeks 3 times a week. Dr. Atenolov ordered diagnostic tests also just to see if there is something in their brain or lumbar spine. The Physical therapists, occupational therapists in his clinic are very patient with my elderly parents, attentive, highly skilled, and they made my parents laugh. The receptionists who answers the phone are very friendly and accommodating with my parents therapy schedules. We’re only a month after my Mom’s therapy and what a big difference. My mother’s numbness in her feet has decreased tremendously, her low back pain has tremendously decreased. My mother can stand on 1 foot for 20 seconds now, can tolerate walking in the treadmill for 10 mins., can do Zumba for 3 mins. and she doesn’t walk with support from sitting on a chair then walking to the restroom. I am thankful to know that there is help for people with balance issues or even being a fall risk. This is an outpatient setting. Mow my mother is not afraid to walk or dance anymore. We still have a month to go to work on her endurance in walking for 20 mins. and she wants to dance the boogie again as her goal. My father’s gait has improved so as his balance. He doesn’t hike his shoulders anymore when stepping off a curb. He only did the PT session for 1 month and it was a big improvement. I am so grateful to Dr. Atenolov and his wonderful staffs.
