These folks here are very hospitable and serve fresh hot food starting at 3:30am 7 DAYS A WEEK!!!  The pork chops I had today were juicy, and had a delicious seasoned breading.  Stop on by and start your day right.

Great place for a quick stop and for refuel

The highest gas prices in all of Shreveport/Mansfield and cigarettes are $1.00+ more than anyone else from Shreveport to Mansfield, they got good food though, so it makes the gas prices worth it

Foreign owned fuel stations. Coffee refills is a coffee refill. It does not cost four dollars. You are getting major tax breaks in our country. Very frustrated. I am not a racist. I will not stand for this. Yes, free enterprise. I won't shop at your store. Simple.

Every foreign on stabber Schmidt that only charges me what a refill generally cost I always complement them. They always seem so surprised when I tell them the stories $3.69 $4.05 dollars extortion is what I Collett the bad people in our country are giving it away to people taking advantage of tax codes, etc. lol reenter price I guess but I don't have to put up with it . God bless America.

A very neat and clean gas station. And a very healthy atmosphere. The people who run this place are very polite and helpful. And coming to the Shell Gas, I'm getting 25mpg combined on my 2005 accord (which has 230k miles on it), while others get 22 -23 range.

If I could give no stars I would my daughter went their paid for 20 worth of gas guy put it on the wrong pump . Then tried to accuse my daughter of trying to steel gas . The cops had to be called to resolve the matter

If I could give it no stars I would. I went in with $56.00 in winning lottery tickets only to be told that because they had made so many sales in the store the night before I couldn’t get cash back I could only get more lottery tickets. I politely told her that I knew that the store sales and lottery sales were different and I wanted either my money or the tickets back. I was then told that she had already scanned the tickets therefore I couldn’t get them back. I told her I wanted either the money or tickets back. She then proceeded to tell me that she was tired of “you people” coming in to the store and demanding things. One thing led to another and before I knew it she was screaming at me in another language. She then thru $46.00 at me along with a $10.00 lottery ticket and told me that was all I was getting. Please don’t patronize this business. They are nothing but rude, arrogant people that run this gas station. They don’t speak plain English and have tried to short change me on more than one occasion also. I will never go in this place again. Like the first comment said, I would rather drive 10 miles down the road than ever give them 1 dime of my money ever again.

White lady that works at night is a terrible person and wouldn’t refund my Mr. Fog that I had for a day and it went out. She then tried to say I was under age and was trying to get a Mr. Fog for free when my friend went in to buy another one Bc I didn’t want to spend my money on another that would go out. Also over charged my friend for the Mr. Fog. Only got a Mac and charge her for the max pro! Very disrespectful doesn’t handle business properly and will NEVER spend my money there again. I’m of age and have bought hundreds of mr. fogs there but that was my last and final time.

Great store but bathrooms need serious help .. disappointing to say the least

Safe and friendly spot to stop for gas and food. The cashier Jacob was really nice and helpful.

Stopped for coffee and donuts.   Cashier explained about the time zone.  The parking lot is central timezone.  Because the town has to use eastern due to the school district.   It may sound confusing but it's how the zoning of this town is.   The plus side is if you are stuck here for new years, you can celebrate it twice.  🤣     the cashier is pretty cool.

Our toddlers 3 and 4 year old kids commented how clean the restrooms are.
That surprised us. The place has a nice welcoming personal touch with the retail.

Nice for a gas station.. would give it 5 stars but the fact its pre pay no matter what time of day it is really gets under my skin. I hate having to go in once to pay then all over again to get my change.

So bizarre! Signage was lit up in windows, prices lit on sign, a couple other cars at the pump. Everyone, including me, were confused as the pumps had some sort of message on the screen and didn't seem to be functional. Man went to check inside and doors were locked. Judging from other reviews, they are only open periodically. Phillips 66 down the way got my money instead.

This was the cleanest gas station I’ve ever been to in my life!  Bathrooms were cleaner than my house. The folks that worked there were nice too.

I don’t know why their hours are so weird they’re not updated. Apparently they are not open on Saturdays or Sundays or any other day.

Gas pumps don’t work, they were all shut off at night. I had a gift card to use and this is the only shell station within 50 miles to use it. I drove all the way there for nothing. Isn't the whole concept of a gas station to sell gas?

Extremely rude woman named Jan manning the counter. Reamed me out because she couldn't get the card machine to accept my gift card- no problem- I paid with my own card. Continued to gripe at me. We were on a road trip, and I was starving- but walked out buying nothing more as she was stressing me out with her complaining. Even her coworker told her to chill.

The gas is the highest in the 5 mile radius thier snacks are literally being sold pass the best by date by months avoid this place for gas and food unless you want to pay the most and get sick 😫  if you ask for an exchange the staff gives no assistant but states we have a vendor to bad

December 2016, had a leaking tire which was losing significant pressure over night.    Attempted to have it looked at by another place in town, they were busy and closing in an hour, so they recommended Ernie's.    Ernie's was able to take a look at my tire immediately.    30 minutes and 18 dollars later I was on my way.  Very pleased.   Everyone who came in knew the employees and it had a very old, small town atmosphere, exactly what I want.   Ernie's will now be #1 on my list of garages in Valpo.

Mike is a great guy always gets my car done for me .

The police had our car towed here after a wreck. Tried to work with the driver (Owner) while at the wreck site just to get some basic information. Absolute waste of time couldn’t give a straight word yes or no to being a AAA shop and or any information for that matter. Drive ended up flat out ignores us and just loaded the car. After the short 3-hour hospital visit attempted to retrieve the car. Upon walking into the shop, we were informed we owed $150 plus storage just to get questions answered. Simple trying to retrieve anything from the car was $150 plus the belittlement of the owner. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague.

This is Valpo's local trusted Auto Repair Shop!!!  I have been a customer for over 3 years, drop my car off to Mike when anything goes wrong and it is taken care of quickly, honestly, at a fair price.  I purchase my tires here, do all oil changes, and major repairs.  This is the place that I also send my wife when I am out of town knowing we will be treated fairly.

I strongly recommend Ernie's Shell!!!!!

for great service great people and incredible selection for a small store it doesn't get better than the Shell station in Armstead I shop there many times and will continue shopping there I cannot rate the store or people higher

The owner needs to figure out how to solve some problems with staff. If you're in a hurry, don't stop here!!
Heading to S'port stopped to get gas here 7 out of 10 have a problem! Usually no paper when I had to have receipt for company purposes, so you have to go in. (When you're in a hurry it matters) I don't go there for awhile then try again. Today it locks my card, (I can't take it out) the woman at the register knows I'm walking in because she's walking away as I walk in. Then turns & tells me by the time you get out there it will be unlocked. Didn't say anything else. I try again, same thing I go back in she says you will have to come in every time to get gas! A nice young man walked me out explaining It's not reading your card. & you have to wait 90 sec to retrieve it.. I don't have time to guess whether or not im going to have problems. She has always been a little rude,  but more so today!

Adequate bathrooms. Fully stocked paper towels, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. No diaper changing station. Relatively friendly staff.

It’s a larger shell station, but it’s still a gas station.  I didn’t sample the gas to see if it had a better taste, but I did notice a few things that not all gas stations carry.  Glass figurines glamorizing or facilitating  smoke and vapor processing.

The Greatest group of employees, I greeted with a smile and warm welcoming.  I always find the establishment clean and neat, fully stocked, and eager to keep all of the customers happy and coming back.

⚠️⚠️ Update ⚠️⚠️ after a bit of fighting and arguing I did get the unauthorized charge settled!! So I gave them back a star

Charged my card twice I live almost an hour away when I noticed I was charged twice tried calling the number on Google wasn't in service...so if anyone has the correct number that would be fantastic....the employees were nice...once I get the money back my review will go up if I don't have to fight and fight to get it back

Very well lit parking and pump area. The station is twice as busy as the station across the street even though the gas was .02 higher. We felt safe visiting this location given the area we were in.

Random selection of all kinds of things. They may not have what you want but they'll have close to it

Bought a vape that malfunctioned did not leave and took it back in and the guy refused to help me saying not his problem. Was a regular customer will never spend another dime there

Go in to buy a drink and I paid for it went outside opened it and it was flat.. went inside told cashier and he would not exchange for a new one. so I will never be going back

I would be giving the store a zero star rating if I could. I walked in there today to get gas and was not offered to put in my rewards. So at this point I ask if I can put my rewards in and they cancel the transaction and put in a new one so that I can put my rewards in. So then I go outside to pump my gas and start pumping and realize that my rewards is not there that I’m not getting my change off of my gas per gallon. So then I go inside and talk to the people at the desk which are not wearing name tags or anything so I don’t know what their names are. I then continue to explain that my rewards are not there and the guy behind the counter continues to tell me that his door is open so my rewards did go in so one of the guys follow me out and see that it’s charging me the regular rate and have me come back inside. At this point I’m still explaining to the other guy behind the counter that it’s not working and that I’ve use these rewards for years and normally I get $.05 cents-$.10 off each gallon and he continues behind the counter arguing with me saying that it’s only $.05-$.10 off per purchase for gas and smiling at me in a cocky way. Like he was being a know it all and I had no clue what I was talking about. Then I ask for the number to get ahold of someone to get this situation fixed. They then proceeded to tell me to step up to the side because they have other customers so I did so and waited about five minutes for them to give me the number and then I left the store.

This gas station is usually nice and great but this guy thinks he can scam me and my dad, like who does he think he is. I didn’t ask his name but he was in there tonight (Monday 730pm) he should get fired, they fired a good man but they won’t fire this guy. I was about ready to throw hands.

This place changed my life, because now I know to NEVER EVER get soda from a gas station, restaurant, or even the bottle ever again! Because how incompetent do these overpaid clerks have to be to put regular soda into the diet pump?
