I want to give it nice stars for having tons of souvenirs, much better price than the shops! We loved finding good Hawaii souvenirs here. It’s just they were loading stuff on the shelves in the middle of the day with busy people walking around trying to find gifts. Maybe they should loading stuff after busy times.
This is a nice Walmart, smaller than where we came from but they had what we needed. The grocery section is pretty small. Go to Safeway just a block away if needed. The Walmart parking entrance seems poorly laid out. It gets back up to the street pretty quickly. To avoid the backup stay to the left as you come in.
Parking lot is always full, hard to get in and out. Service inside is typical , which is hit and miss. They do carry a lot of items unique to the islands. I do like that they hire a lot of the local seniors to meet and greet unlike many stores in the states. Mahalo and please keep Hawaii clean 🤗
Always an entertaining experience for an Aussie, this Walmart made us appreciate our supermarkets and their staff back home. My partner wanted to pick up some Pop-Tarts and after asking three different staff and getting told three different aisle locations, we gave up in the end.
Even so, exploring the bewildering array of grocery items is always fun. 😆
This picture was to demonstrate to my son that America has an evolved version of the Dagwood Dog. 🤣
I'm just happy there was a Walmart nearby to get all of your forgotten needs. We also had an emergency first aid situation and it had everything a tourist or local could need to take care of your own first aid needs. Burn aloe, bandaids, Neosporin, eye contact solution, lotion, and even New skin for cuts. ♥️It also has an amazing view of the ocean from the plaza hill edge.
