The store update has really made the store better, however as soon as the corporate people were gone the shelves went back to looking like a mess in certain areas.
They are constantly out of stock of items in the grocery area.
And I know they are told to, but I feel like I'm being stalked when I'm trying to leave. If I don't stop for you to check my receipt are you going to tackle me? Geez.
I am with most every visit to Walmart , just amazed at the lack of quality service I receive. It’s as though I have a sign on my back that states “ Be rude. She can take it!” With the exception of a few associates, I can almost guarantee that I will get a “ I don’t know where that is. I don’t work in that department.” As an answer to my request for direction to a particular item. But in their defense maybe I (unknowingly )shop at a time when all the friendly helpful associates are on break!) Or maybe the helpful friendly associates are divided between the Money Center, Customer Service and on the floor 🤷🏽♀️
And this is in addition to …….if you don’t go shopping early in the morning don’t go, because it’s almost guaranteed that whatever it is you’re looking for won’t be on the shelves; and please don’t ask an associate if there’s any in the stock room because their answer will most assuredly be” everything we have is out on the shelves” whether they are or not!
Oh! And please don’t call the store because no one will answer the phone, and if they do……..they don’t work in the department you seeking help from!
Now in all fairness I have to say that the majority of my negative experiences have been at one location (Baker Supercenter). I have a totally different experience when I shop at the Zachary store.
Maybe the Sun shines brighter in Zachary than it does in Baker producing more positive and helpful attitudes I don’t know. But my experience has been more positive there. They will actually check in the stock room for you!!!
Or will show you where the item is that you’re looking for!!
I don’t know about you, but if I’m gonna pay crazy prices for items that were reasonably priced just a few years back, at least I want my shopping experience to be a pleasant one! But on the upside, the store in Baker looks fantastic!
I was greeted when I first walked in. Everything was neatly zoned. Several rollback items. I was only suppose to purchase a dress for church ended up getting baby clothes for my God baby all summer stuff on sale fall and winter item stocking stuffers you name it. And it's not even October😁
Looks like it needs some refurbishment with the store. Deteriorated and old looking in and iut. Things are broken and damaged in several aisles. Not stock with groceries, as I couldn't find certain items that are regularly stocked. There is no one to check you out at a register. I don't work here, so I don't get paid to check myself out. If no one is available to check me out, I'll just go to Target or Kroger. At least they have registers with cashiers open to check me out with my purchase and no one will stop to look at my receipts, (like if I'm stealing something), to check my bags and groceries. In the last few years, it has gone down bad. No service, or a care in the world, to help a customer. If you can find someone.
