Standard Walmart experience, a supermarket that has most groceries. Not a big fan of Walmart, I prefer the red logo supermarket as Walmart doesn't have a lot of things that I look for that are from outside of Mexico but this Walmart does have a good selection of groceries.
A bit on the pricey side as far as grocery stores go. If you need anything American just go to HEB instead they have better quality, prices and selection. That goes for everything else they sell. Heck I'm being nice I honestly don't even think this place deserves the 3 stars I gave it..
After getting to the checkout line with a basket of items, I found out that they do not accept American currency. Without knowing Spanish, I tried to explain my situation and asked in English if there were a bank nearby that I could go to. No one spoke English and so it was hopeless. Then a manager, Liliana Gonzalez walked into the store. She understood me clearly and spoke perfect English so that I understood her. She got on her phone to look up nearby banks for me. She found one but my hotel was closer, so I decided to go back there instead to get the currency exchange. Liliana then asked an employee to put my basket off to the side for me until I returned for it and to place the perishable items in a bag inside of a beverage refrigerator for me. Everything was there for me when I returned. Liliana Gonzalez was extremely helpful. Her assistance turned a bad situation into a good one. Thank you, Liliana.
