Walmart Chapala

It's very handy having a Walmart here, this one is a medium size, so they have a good selection. Electronics, kitchen stuff including appliances, clothing, lots of groceries, alcohol, pharmacy, etc. We avoid the meat because it's not always fresh. The bakery has a limited selection. Good prices on some things but try to get familiar with local prices because we often find better prices on the grocery items at our local markets and shops.

Beautiful store, clean and shelves were full. Produce beautiful and priced well! At check out we waited for a very long time with a cart full but that was ok. Horrible curly haired little young man bagging, so rude! We had tip in hand and kept it!!!! I just wanted my bloody chicken and steaks in a bag by themselves! I didn’t want pineapple thrown in on top of my tomatoes! The young cashier laughed! What a shame the store is really well organized but we will not go back!

Without exaggeration the worst Walmart I’ve ever visited. Dark, dirty, disorganized, poor selection, poor displays, with completely indifferent staff. I was shocked the first time I walked in. Unfortunately it’s the only Walmart in the area and they do carry a few items one can’t get elsewhere, so I grit my teeth and go. Only when I absolutely have to. The photo shows the section that is meant to house tape (packing, masking, duct, etc.) An absolute disgrace.

I agree: this is undoubtedly the worst Walmart I've ever visited anywhere. Aisles are mislabeled, fruit and vegetables are old, hardly anything to buy and everything messed up. It looks like a discount store about to close but with lot higher prices. The shopping carts are the worst! If you can find one, it will have broken wheels. An absolute disgrace

Expect long lines; do not expect customer service. It's Walmart, y'all. Upgraded from 3 to 4 stars based on their delivery service! Order online for mostly same day, but sometimes next day delivery. Well worth the 39 peso delivery charge, particularly for heavier items.
