I live a few blocks from this station. For a few years i’ve been paying $1.50 each time I visit to add air to my tires, I have my own tire gauge. I’ve always put in (6) quarters each time to turn on the compressor, which is common in most states. It was recently brought to my attention that compressed air is free of charge in Connecticut by state law at all times a qualified gas station is open. This station is open 24/7, they never close. Today I went for air. I asked the man, whom identified himself as the manager, why there was a box on the machine stating “$1.50 for 3 minutes” he said that he would turn it on. I asked why there is a box asking for money and he told me to get out, I am causing trouble, and I will get hurt if I do not leave.
Police came, they told me it should be free, and then told me to leave - manager has banned me from the property forever. Of course there is “no audio” on the camera system, so the police cannot hear the man threatening me with harm.
Police took no action, business violates the law. These are bad people. I have spent a lot of money on fuel, items from the store, and air here. They have robbed me and I call them out - now I am banned. Do not shop here.
The customer service here completely stinks. First off the pumps were are broken and you could not do your card at the pump so there where notes to go inside. When I got inside there was no one at the counter and I had waited a good while before they finally came to help me. Once he had started my transaction and I put my card in the machine he took off. Unfortunately something went wrong when it read my card and it denied it and I had to call him back after awaiting. Even then he did not stick around for this transaction and took off.
The cashiers are so friendly and personable here. And the cigarettes are not too bad price wise. The gas is a little expensive but if u have/use Stop n shop points you can save alot on gas.
This is my daily go to gas station 🖤 they always are so good to my kids and know when I’m rushing and help get me in and out so fast… I love when a gas station remembers you and when you walk in the door go “ayeeeee how are you?!” Like your family or friends …. And if I want something they don’t have … I just tell them and they order it like my honey bbq potatoe chips no one carries …. Guess what now they got them :)
