Shear Madness Haircuts for Kids

These two ladies were so wonderful!!! They were slammed but still got us in on Christmas Eve! Honestly I didn’t realize how busy a hair place would be - our mistake but really appreciate how kind they both were with my daughter and even though they were busy they took the time to make sure it was done right! Thank you so much! Fans for life!

The ladies cutting hair here do a fabulous job! Love bringing my kids here and I'm sure in a few months or so when my youngest has enough hair, he will go here for his first hair cut! For reference, my oldest son has a lot of cowlicks in his hair, and each lady there has done a really good job of shaping the hair cuts to take those into account and make his hair look great!

We took our daughter for her first haircut. As we checked in we ended up waiting almost 10/15 past our appointment time until we were told to pick a chair. Our stylist without considering the type of cut WE wanted for our child had our 3 year old choose between long, short or medium. Each time I continuously tried to explain what WE wanted she would talk over me. During the “cut” I noticed she was barely cutting anything off of my child’s hair, not even half an inch. She continuously spoke about inappropriate topics in front of our child including a time she caught her grandchild, drinking tequila. Not appropriate!! After the appointment as they were putting together our first cut package, we waited almost 20 minutes for that package. We spent more time waiting in the lobby before and after the appointment than the actual appointment itself. I was at the counter waiting to pay and the receptionist found it more important to answer phone call after phone call as I stood there and waited to pay for my child’s services. We didn’t receive everything the package included. I paid $55 for a 10 minute uneven haircut 2 rubber bands and some glitter. Didn’t even receive the type of cut I requested. It just so happens as I was leaving a tip on my receipt, the stylist and receptionist were openly speaking about how her last client “didn’t leave her a tip” but then realized they left her a cash tip instead. It made me very uncomfortable as I was signing my receipt. Not the best experience for a child’s first haircut. Ripoff and very unprofessional.

Took my almost 2 year old there for a haircut because he doesn't let anyone touch his head and had a bad experience the last time he got his hair cut. But at shear madness there was lots of fun stuff to keep him happy and distracted he even let the dresser use clippers on him! When he did get upset a couple times they were patient with him and quickly got him back to being happy to finish the haircut in a good amount of time!

We enjoyed our visit ! Short and sweet how we like it. Great haircut ! Fun place and we like the stuffed animals and books they offer for sale. My son enjoyed a movie and playing with a pop it while getting his haircut (thank you for accommodating my autistic son ). His favorite was the sitting on the Dino. He enjoyed his lolipop after. The price for the great haircut was the best of all. Would highly recommend!
