School of Rock

I first got lessons here back in October 2022 and it was great because I hit it off with my teacher very well, however, the overwhelming stress of college and my own personal mental problems prevented my ability to focus on my lessons. I ended my lessons through a very rude email, which school of rock didn’t deserve, and focused on myself for a few months. When I decided to come back, they welcomed me with open arms and no grudges, which I am grateful for. I am currently enrolled in their adult band program and take lessons too. I also asked Cecile to change my teacher, who I didn’t really learn well from, to which she completely understood and allowed the swap to happen. In conclusion, the staff is very understanding, empathetic, and courteous to the customer. I was really afraid to come back because I struggle with anger, and know that I possibly burned a bridge with them, but it means a lot to know that they understand music is my passion, and I just want to do what makes me happy in life

Great experience overall! The design allows kids to progress at their own pace and try out multiple instruments. Getting to work with other kids toward an actual concert was inspiring. And the music is learned by ear, which is so common in gig music.

My son has been enjoying School of Rock for several years. He loves the variety of programs and the performance opportunities. His playing - guitar, bass, and drums - has really grown.

Philly School of Rock ROCKS ! Our son has been at SOR for five years and his experience has been awesome. The staff there provide an amazing and welcoming community to learn in. They inspire their students. They put their heart and soul into what they do and it shows. Our son started with the guitar, and it is now his passion. With the encouragement of his teachers, he has also played the bass and keyboards. Love, love Philly School of Rock !!

Cecile and Bennett have been so great to me and my son! My son has learned so much while having fun, and their ability to be flexible with our schedule has been key. I highly recommend!
