School of Rock

School of Rock is nothing short of amazing! The team of instructors goes above and beyond. They are not only positive, caring, and fun, but also a highly-talented group of musicians, as well. It's a perfect blend that keeps the learning environment both enriching and enjoyable. The group aspect of performing and rehearsing the music together, with other bandmates, keeps my child thrilled about learning her music at home, too. The song selections are awesome and recognizable, and every student sounds incredible at the final show, whether they've played for months or years. As a parent, I'm delighted to listen to the rock tunes she plays—it's a refreshing departure from the monotonous practice drills that linger from my own childhood music class experiences! One aspect that truly stands out is the personalized feedback from the instructors. I appreciate the time they take to provide tips and insights into my daughter's keyboard work. It adds a thoughtful touch to her learning journey, making each session feel tailored to her progress. My daughter has shown a tremendous amount of growth in her skills and understanding of musical concepts since joining this program. The vibrant energy and enjoyable melodies make School of Rock a standout for both students and their families. It's more than just a music school; it's a nurturing ground for passion and talent.

We would give SIX stars if we could! So many great things to say about the Madison School of Rock. Every aspect, from instructors, to management, to course of study was designed to get kids to embrace music in a fun and supported manner. Most importantly, it got them PLAYING music in group setting right away...something that traditional guitar/piano/drum, etc. lessons don't always do. Our daughter cherished every moment and friend she made during her years at SoR, and is a better musician to show for it. 🤘

School of Rock in Madison has been an amazing experience for my daughter. She’s learning electric guitar and had her first band performance yesterday. It’s amazing to watch her, she’s gained so much confidence since she began. The instructors and staff are all so supportive and positive, it’s a pleasure to be a part of this rocking community.

My daughter attended Punk rock week summer camp and she LOVED it! She is normally an introvert but Walker and Rach were supportive and encouraging. She sang lead vocals at the end of the week concert in front of a crowd filled with friends, family and restaurant patrons. We can't wait to sign her up for voice lessons in the Spring.

I love the method and instructors. My son gets so much out of both his lesson with Mark and his time in rock 101. When he first started he never wanted to be in a Performance Group and by the time he was ready for it, he excitedly asked to join so the method is really working for him! Every time I hear him playing he has improved and his confidence is growing as well!
