School of Rock

SoR has programs for all ages and skill levels. The staff is amazing and truly cares about the advancement of their students. The exposure the students get to playing in a band and performing in front of people is a game changer. There is nothing like the thrill of nailing a great rock song in front of a crowded venue. Seeing the confidence and skill of the kids in this program skyrocket is worth every dollar spent.

UPDATE! We now have two of our kiddos enrolled at SOR. I couldn't be more impressed, so I wanted to add to my review. Ariel teaches guitar to my youngest son and he loves it. Communication is great and he knows what to practice at home without our help. Billie W. is an excellent drum instructor. My other son looks forward to seeing him each week. We appreciate the care and enthusiasm he brings as a teacher. I highly recommend School of Rock SL for the best in music education.

My granddaughter was taken for lessons here and I was VERY disappointed. After attending a “show”, I realized she was singing offensive and inappropriate lyrics in multiple songs After reaching out to the Director, Bri, she said that it was the music teachers choice of songs. I told her I was opposed to my granddaughter singing these lyrics and she said that there was nothing she would do about it. If you are thinking about taking your child here for music lessons, I suggest you go elsewhere! Very poor management.

I've taken guitar lessons, drum lessons, and I participate in the adult band. I don't have a bad word to say about any of it. I like the way the school is run, I like my teachers, and I've improved a lot as a musician since I've been attending! Couldn't recommend enough.

The instructors are all topnotch which can be seen in how well the younger kids perform. It's also a great way to learn how to play with other musicians of all levels in a band environment. Everyone I've met has been very pleasant and a ll work to bring out the best in you.
