Wow! Nearly two years and just a few doors from my place and some how haven't tried this little gem! I was unable to get photos that do it justice, as it was evening near closing time. We descided to eat outside so not optimal lighting. You absolutely have to try this place. I'm not a huge Mediterranean/Greek dish lover. So my expectations were not high. I got what is called Beef Shawarma I believe. Basically a wrap with thin sliced beef steak. Whatever seasoning/sauce is I loved it! A very large portion. Fries aren't the greatest but acceptable. Couldn't eat it all. Food was reasonably fast. The two gentlemen cooking and taking orders were exceptionally friendly. One even striked up a short conversation with us. Restroom was clean and tidy was as well. I will be back and promise better photos next time.
Very good Mediterranean food items. I tried Kafta Kabob today. It's very good. The best thing was to have a large amount of homemade fresh salads with the foods. I would rate it as 4 out of 5. If you want to explore the Mediterranean foods at the 4th Street, I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Another notable thing is that all the staff were very friendly and they behaved quite well with us.
Safier Mediterranean Deli, situated in Louisville, KY, offers a satisfying experience of Mediterranean cuisine. During my recent visit, I sampled their chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and kafta kabab. While the food was decent overall, there were a few areas that could benefit from attention.
Starting on a positive note, the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and kafta kabab were enjoyable. The chicken shawarma was tender and infused with delightful spices, while the beef shawarma provided a succulent and well-seasoned meat experience. The kafta kabab, although not as impressive as the shawarmas, still offered a satisfactory taste.
However, one downside was the peculiar smell inside the establishment. The presence of an unpleasant odor detracted from the overall dining experience. Addressing this issue would significantly enhance the comfort and ambiance of the restaurant.
Furthermore, the interior could use a facelift. While the food may take center stage, an inviting atmosphere can greatly enhance the enjoyment of a meal. Updating the decor, refreshing the seating arrangements, and investing in a more modern and appealing aesthetic would contribute to a more pleasant dining environment.
Despite these shortcomings, the service at Safier Mediterranean Deli was commendable. The staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate special requests added to the overall positive impression.
In conclusion, Safier Mediterranean Deli offers a tasty journey through Mediterranean flavors, with their chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and kafta kabab delivering satisfactory taste experiences. However, improvements in addressing the odd smell within the establishment and updating the interior would greatly elevate the overall dining experience. With attentive service and enjoyable dishes, Safier Mediterranean Deli remains a viable option for those seeking Mediterranean cuisine in Louisville, KY.
We eat here all the time. The falafel is so fire! The staff is really nice and fast! The hummus is heavenly. 1000% recommend to anyone that likes Mediterranean food. Vegan friendly ❤️❤️❤️
The food taste good but if you have will compare it to a Middle Eastern shawarma you will be disappointed. However chicken sandwich is good 8/10 it’s just not the original way to be called shawarma maybe something else but it’s good lol.
Garlic sauce is perfect 10/10
Fries, were a little too burnt.
Location is convenient but not the best place to dine in. Food is good and recommend for a quick and affordable bite to go.
