Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Steamboat Springs

Lovely little chocolate shop. Lady was very courteous and helpful. She was very patient with us, since we look a while to decide what we wanted. They had all kinds of chocolate, limited ice creams selections, and candy apples. Three of our group got candy apples. I would’ve too, but they use green apples for the candy apples. Bummer, I only like red apples, green apples taste sour to me. BUT I did want some ice cream. It’s in the lower 40’s outside, but I didn’t care. I wanted a waffle cone with butter pecan ice cream, and that’s what I got; 2 scoops. She packed the waffle cone full and then added two large scoops on top. Yum Yum, it was very good. Also, on a cool note; she used an apple slicer to cut the candy apples into slices. That’s a first, and brilliant! Not near as messy with eating your normal uncut candy apple. The whole time, the lady remained patient and answered any questions we had. Even when one of us used a lot of change to pay for an Apple, she was still thankful and helpful. Everyone loved the candy apples and the ice cream was very good as well. Prices weren’t too bad. Apples were $6.5-$8ish each, my two scoops of ice cream was around $6 I think.

If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting patiently in line the ”salesgirl” served others who entered the store after us and another group. When I pointed this out, she said there is no line and raised her voice and called me rude. Seems like customer service training is needed, maybe white customers will have better luck.

Friendly service that makes you feel at home. Free ice cream samples to help you choose your favorite flavor. The chocolates are amazing too! Great place to stop anytime of the day!

After Lunch at the Old Town Pub & Restaurant which was fantastic, we stopped for some chocolate. We had a couple of dark chocolate pecan clusters which were a 10 and took home one of there Carmel / chocolate covered apples for later

We got ice cream and chocolate here and my god it had to be some of the best ice cream I’ve have. Have not had the chocolates but they look incredible. Great prices.
