A few weeks ago, I went to this location and the pastry case was about 90 degrees with fruit flies buzzing inside, going to town. I asked the staff and they said the lamps in the case were causing it to heat up and the cooling system was broken, so they were repeatedly putting in dry ice packets. But the dry ice was room temperature. I told them that it was unlikely anyone would reach into a case, swat away flies, and then eat something in there. Then yesterday (two weeks later) I went again. No flies this time, but the case again was about 80 degrees. And warm packets of dry ice were in the bottom of the case. And another few on this side. I've uploaded photos -- see the (warm) dry ice packets under the pastries. They said the owner just tells them to keep replacing the dry ice all day long, with no news on an actual fix. How can this have been happening for weeks? Isn't this a food safety issue? It's crazy.
Delicious food in a cute atmosphere. I got the egg salad, the lobster coleslaw, and a croissant with creme and strawberries. The savoury dishes were wonderful and tasty and not skimpy on ingredients. The croissant was crunchy, buttery, and decadent.
There's no sitting inside and not much outside, so be prepared to walk a bit to find a scenic area or take the food home
Tried a chicken Caesar sandwich and chocolate croissants and they were good. They were able to warm us up for us. All the other pastries had good presentation as well.
