This supermarket has confusing and conflicting policies. To be able to take advantage of the discounted prices of certain items, you must be a member of the Pão de Açúcar Mais club and to do so you must have a CPF. I am a foreigner visiting Brazil and I’ve explained to the staff here that I don’t have a CPF so I can’t sign up to be a member, even when I want to. I’ve visited this supermarket numerous times, and each time I receive a different answer. Sometimes, staff allow us to use the discount, and sometimes we are not allowed. It’s not our fault your special price club is discriminatory against foreigners and doesn’t allow us to sign up because we don’t have a CPF. Fix the club so that foreigners can sign up using a passport.
