Wanna go to a hardware store where the employees are universally polite, engaging, and knowledgeable? This particular location seems to consistently be like that in the 4-5 times I've dropped in. Even the young and less-experienced employees seem to have sufficient competence to answer questions or work through the best way to get you to what you need. What an amazing contrast with the "big box" hardware stores -- you know, the ones use an orange or blue color pallet for the brand? Can't speak for all Ace Hardware stores and say they are this good, but this location definitely is!

We just moved to the area and have popped in a few times. Every experience has been great and, dare I say, some of the best customer service we've experienced in a while! The vibe is friendly and relaxed. There is always someone available to help and we're always impressed with their recommendations and guidance. After only a few experiences, they've made loyal customers out of us. We are grateful to be so close to such a great hardware store and look forward to our next visit.

Love this place. Has almost everything I have needed

Always helpful staff who will frequently walk me to the spot where the item is that I’m looking for. They have small items—screws, nuts, bolts, washers, fasteners, etc.— in bins so I don’t have to buy a blister pack with multiple items inside if I need only one or two of that item. I can almost always find exactly what I need there, and it’s just a short drive from my home. It’s my go-to place for hardware.

Moraga Ace is truly our neighborhood Hardware store. I have always received personalized service from Bill, Susan and staff. They answer my questions, make excellent recommendations and refer me to reliable local people when needed. During the pandemic they have been there for me when supply was short and anxiety was high. I support and highly recommend them.
