On the rare occasion they get your order right and it doesn't come out cold, I guess it's ok. When ordering "just a cheeseburger" I got a single meat patty in a nugget box . staff really living up to the 'not so bright' stereotype unfortunately
Drive through is often very slow, but this most recent time I was served lightning fast. Food was good, and customer service was on point. I will say that the workers there are almost always fantastic with great attitudes, and any of the problems I've encountered can be chalked up to chronic understaffing. This is not the employees fault - in fact, it shows how good their work ethic is. It is incredibly hard to find good employees these days for service positions, especially foodservice. It never was easy to hire a full staff that checked all the boxes (honest, friendly, on time, physically capable, and much more) but now you have workers being told they should be making much higher wages than the job is paying, and customers who erroneously believe fast food workers are getting paid like bank execs, creating an atmosphere of resentment that is difficult to navigate at best. So thanks guys, you are appreciated.
Title: Disappointed with Poor Service and Overpriced Menu at McDonald's on Market
St.
I recently visited the McDonald's on Market St. in Wilmington, DE, and I must say that my experience left a lot to be desired. Not only was the service extremely poor, but I also found the prices to be exorbitantly high compared to what I used to pay.
Firstly, let me address the issue of the price hike. I was shocked to find that a simple hamburger, which used to cost $0.89, now set me back over $2. This sudden increase feels excessive, especially considering the quality of the food offered.
My disappointment with the pricing, however, pales in comparison to the way my daughter and I were treated during our visit. When I requested a receipt to ensure the accuracy of our order, I was incredulously told that the restaurant had run out of receipt paper. It was only after escalating the issue to the manager that we were finally able to obtain one.
This experience left me feeling disrespected and unheard as a customer. The manager's attitude only exacerbated the problem, displaying a lack of empathy and proper training. Basic customer service skills are a fundamental requirement for any establishment, and it is evident that this McDonald's is lacking in that aspect.
Furthermore, the fact that the restaurant had run out of receipt paper is simply unacceptable. It is a basic necessity that should be readily available for customers. I would suggest that the management invest in proper training for their staff, as well as ensuring that they have a sufficient budget allocated for essential supplies such as receipt paper.
All things considered, I cannot in good conscience recommend visiting this particular McDonald's location on Market St. in Wilmington, DE. The combination of poor service, unreasonably high prices, and a general lack of professionalism make it clear that my time and money would be better spent elsewhere.
The bathroom smelled horrible ....
I spoke to the manager she says she will yell the maintenance man...
But she did not answer the question "when was the last time the bathroom was cleaned?
I was with 3 women and myself they went to the bathroom and ran out holding their breath that is unacceptable....
Seats was torn......
Chairs was on topd of tables understood for covid-19....
The chicken nugget was hot and juicy like always...
Dirty floors....
Dirty bathroom....
Fast service ...
Customer service needs improvement....
It took 3 times for them to make my order right, a hamburger with no onions. The whole time I was left waiting behind someone else that was waiting 20 plus for her food and had to listen to constant complaining from employees that weren’t actually doing anything. But the drive thru guy was runnin around doin everyone’s job for them plus his own with a smile on his face. He got my food right after making it himself and it was great. That guy needs a raise. Lemme also say tho that this mcds always ALWAYS makes fried perfect!!
