Always find what I need. Of course I usually go in looking for parts to combine to make a replacement part for something really expensive.

I would be giving this place a really good review if it wasn't for the workers. Here's how the story goes, my friend and I walk in and we are simply asking for gloves. However she starts rudely just saying "No. No we don't have any." And so my friend who had just bought his Pepsi from there and I walk outside to call our friend about the gloves to see where he got them. As I am on the phone with him this lady walks outside right behind us to watch us as she smokes and when I'm on the phone with my friend he starts to tell us where the gloves are. Upon walking back in the lady walks right in behind us talking to her manager saying we are trying to shoplift and use counterfeit money. We have no bags or anything on us. We only came with money and phones so we can purchase gloves. After following our friends directions to find the gloves we find them and I grab some and my friend grabs some. We thank our friend who helped us and proceed to check out. My friend checks out first and she is very rude to him while he checks out. After he leaves I check out the gloves I am getting. Total is right about 8$ so I give the woman a 10$ bill. She proceeds to look at me than the money and me again to quickly check to see if it's fake. After realizing its not she gets all upset and just says "What ever. Just take this. Total is (insert amount here)" and gives me the money. As I walk out she pays attention to no other customers BUT ME and makes sure I'm not stealing. While my friend and I are outside she stares at us out the window to make sure we don't do anything bad. This woman was rude and stereotyping my friend and I. We are simply buying gloves for school related extra curriculum activities and she gave us the hardest time getting gloves when she wouldn't tell us where they were at or anything. After leaving I ask my friend if he saw the lady and he said he also had a very hard time because he couldn't get help at all and was being followed the entire time. I would not recommend coming here if you are not wanting to have your time wasted.

Horrible experience today at ACE hardware in Versailles! We have spent over $5K in the past 2 months and it took over an hour to return some unused bolts. They lady working the register panicked because we were returning stuff and she has to call the manager to help which took over an hour. On top of that there was a 20% restocking fee for 3 different items. The chainsaw we purchased didn’t work and they wouldn’t return it because they couldn’t resell it. I was told if the item was defective they would take it back no matter what. The manager/owner told me I was lying and no one told me that. We will never be back which I hate because I love supporting local owned business but not when it’s bad business. The store is dirty and the ceiling is falling in, wouldn’t be surprised if there is asbestos floating around the store.

I was in today to get a few things, As I approached the counter the woman working was making it a point to give me dirty looks (mean mugging me), I had never seen this women before in my life but she was really making it a point to let me know she didn't like me. As I checked out she was still pouring it on heavy, she didn't answer when I asked her a question, rudely spouted out the price then walked off smirking. I honestly couldn't believe what was happening. Mistaken identity? I have no idea. Needless to say myself and my family will not be doing anymore business here.

Only 4 stars because of ridiculously high pricing on many items. Exponentially higher than anywhere else. Great selection and staff though. Edited to include my disgust at owner reselling masks he bought in bulk at dollar general, placed in Ziploc with an ACE address label on it, then marked up 200%. Shameful exploitation of his own communiry. Staff still great though, especially older gentleman in afternoons.
