La Santurrona Gastropub

We were on our way to a rooftop but we were so tired from walking the whole city that decided just to stop by here and get some drinks before going later to a taco stand. We didn’t want to order much so we got some chicken soup, chicken wings, mezcarita and a local beer with a shot of mezcal. Service was so good, the young guy that took our order was very helpful and explained some stuff on the menu. We got the drinks and my husband absolutely loved the mezcarita, it’s a margarita but made with mezcal, sooooooo good. My shot was also great, it was from a local farmer of mezcal. The chicken soup was ok, not a lot of flavor but the presentation was so cute and the chicken with were bomb. So good. In overall great place on and Amazing spot.

A great place to chillout with friends or just chilling alone, the service is good and friendly and the food is amazing, they have a collection of craft beers which are highly recommended, thr decore is fun and the hosts are friendly and speak English. Located in the middle of thr town center next to everything.

First time I've been here in two years (since Covid lockdown) ... a nice watering hole, as before ... and specifically today, a calm refuge from the surging crowd in the streets on #DiaDeLasFlores #Guanajuato Capital

Had a panini and it was was great. Service and environment was fun. Can’t really complain about this place. Close to everything.

If you read through the other reviews you will get a good sense of it. They are extremely inconsistent. The food is usually pretty good. But, the service? Always friendly but almost always very, very slow. Responses to negative reviews from the owner are always defensive. Front of the house is poorly trained and some of the 'rules' seem arbitrary. Such great potential given the location. What a shame that it's managed so poorly. We live just up the street and have given them our last visit.
