UPDATE: Journeys reached out (check response) and asked me to email them so they could further assist me. After I shared the photo (again) they said it was wear and tear and told me there was nothing they could do.

My converse ripped down the side within the 30 day return window but they said it was normal wear and tear and refused to exchange them.
I’ve shopped here for years, but my recent encounter was not helpful at all. I was gifted some burks for my birthday but did not fit me! Mind you I ONLY tried them only on and realized they were too small. So I went in and asked if I can get a bigger size and they told me they didn’t have a bigger size so I asked if I can get a refund but they told me that if I only had the gift receipt I can only exchange the shoes for something else, unless I can get the card that was used to refund. So I started looking around when one of the employees said I could not even exchange because the shoes has a smudge? And when I went ahead and looked at it for myself ITS GLUE from the shoe?!!!! That’s a factory problem! They told me they couldn’t not take the shoe because it “store policy”? I called the person who gifted them to me to let them know what was going on and they told me that the shoe already had the smudge on it, she had noticed it when she was looking at them but didn’t think I would mind which I wouldn’t have!!! There is also glue on the rim of the burks! So how is this my fault that I get left with shoes that were gifted to me and don’t fit!!!! I will definitely try going in again to see if someone else can help!
Went to today to look for a pair of shoes. We were helped by a young man that has the last name as I. He was very helpfull, professional and very upbeat. Left with three pairs.
