Love their almond croissant and cheese danish! My husband like their quiches. Haven’t tried anything here that we didn’t like. They are consistent with their baking perfection. Small seating area but enough. Try to get in before 2PM on Sundays or they will be out of some of the best sellers.
Sooooo glad that I stumbled upon this place while in CT! I haven't been to many bakeries with this level of expertise. The glazed donut I got was very similar to a great bakery that I go to in King's Park, New York. They advertise it as a "cronut" which is a donut/ croissant and this donut tasted just like it.
Google:
The Cronut (a portmanteau of croissant and donut) is a pastry created and trademarked in 2013 by the French pastry chef Dominique Ansel. It resembles a doughnut and is made from croissant-like dough filled with flavored cream and fried in grapeseed oil. Cronut cross-section.
In addition to these amazing donuts, they also had nice breakfast, egg quiche and loaves of fresh bread.
If you're into any of the above, go check it out. You won't be disappointed!
I was on my way home from Rhode Island to NJ and wanted to have a stop to get some sweets or simply stop somewhere interesting to make the 4 hour drive something to look for. I came upon this French bakery and I wasn’t expecting the olive baquette at all. It blew me away with the freshness , crunchiness and flavors ! Definitely one of my favorite places to visit.
Oh my goodness. Visited for my birthday, and my heart was throbbing through the display case. There are so many beautiful pastries, and they all tasted equally delicious. Will be back, no doubt.
Must-see if in CT, it's worth a 30+ min drive.
They have great coffee and espresso drinks, assorted pastires and desserts. Most authentic outside of Europe and everything is so fresh.
